If you go to www.wireimage.com and type in Stevie's name you can see pictures of her at the induction. I love the pics with her and Chrissie Hynde and John Mayer. She looks beautiful.

Thanks, for posting that link. I was wondering if she was going to be there last night. Does anyone know if this is going to be on TV?

Pattie..I did see a commerical advertising it on VH1..I think this Sunday night. I know it is on a Sunday, not positive if it is this Sunday or next. Mick looks very debonair! His scarf is so Dickensish. (Stevie looks so tiny next to him whenever they go out together!)

Ok Thanks, Kelly. I never watch TV. I am so out of the loop. I think that Sunday nights are usually when they do air the specials.
All of those pics are great. I love the one of her and Chrissie Hynde together as well as her and Mick.

Is she about to bitchslap BonJovi on the first page (2nd row)? I'm not going to Vegas, but I would pay just about any amount of money & fly anywhere to see that!!! Celebrity Boxing maybe??? :D
My fave pic is the one of her holding the 4-color program (?) on the first page (6th row).
And it's interesting how all the pics of her in the crowd with the other celebs, she's smiling and laughing and hugging... Then when she gets into the press area (for interviews, I assume) -- she's pretty stone-faced.

I'm not feeling the two-toned hair either.
Actually, it is my unpopular opinion she should cut some major length off her hair. I think she would look better with a shorter, softer do. I think the long, straight look is just too harsh for her.

I totally agree. It needs to be thinned out and given some life. Thin it out so it's not so thick, add some curls here and there, and let it frame your face instead of elongating it. It's limper than Bob Dole at the moment, unfortunately.

Oh no, I like it thick! But I agree, girlfriend needs a trim. It would look glorious angled around her face with a couple of inches trimmed off the bottom all around. That would take care of the really damaged stuff.

about a haircut? i think she would look more polished with a shorter cut, not necessarily anything "short" though. and kill the bangs, i know they take ten years off but we all know how old she is... i'm trying to think of someone who has a cut that would look good on her... ok, example that i might catch major flack for: martha stewart. with the semi-bangs and above the shoulders. the hearts of millions would skip a beat if this ever happens...

Poor Stevie. Her chicken neck has turned into a turkey neck. I think she should try and get some work done on that. I mean, c'mon, the woman is (going to be) 57 years old. A little tasteful cosmetic surgery wouldn't be all that outta line.
Check out the difference between the R-n-R photos and the Stormy Weather pics from three years ago (they're one or two pages down the line).

the leading proof for surgery, at least to me: look at the group photo in the TISL liner and the way that she has her head to the side, if you go back and look at the Rumours cover outtakes, it looks like they photoshopped her head from there and onto TISL. actually spooky. very beautiful, i don't care what she chooses for herself.
and as for mick, i rather like the way he's been looking like a gentleman. it's just so refreshing to see him - minus balls...

She should start using the Facial Flex (http://www.comforthouse.com/comfort/facflexex.html). Has anybody seen this thing? My mom has been using it for probably 5 years now and swears by it. She just turned 59 and has no sign of the "chicken neck"...people think she's in her early 40s. My mom has jokingly said that she's going to write Stevie about it because, she says, "she's so beautiful and if she's scared of surgery there's a way around it."

I think it was the suggestion that she get surgery, implying that she doesn't look good enough how she is, that was being addressed. The fact that you don't want her to just age, like everybody does, but that you think she should get surgery.
I don't really care, but I would never suggest she needed to get any, or that she should get any...

I think Stevie had eye work done and a little bit of work done to the face around The Dance. I mean, this is a woman that partied hard for years. You don't do that kind of damage to yourself, continue to tour, have your body change radically, and then miraculously come back three years later looking as fabulous and beautiful as she did and call it totally natural. Girl had work, to what extent, I've no idea. But it was good work and if I ever want some stuff done, she better hook me up with her doc.
There can be no question that Chris had work done, though.

I don't have a clue as to why, though, it's not as if plastic surgery should be looked down upon, IMO. AND - no one is exactly accusing Stevie of being Melanie Griffith or Jackie Stallone.
I agree with you in that she's had work done. More power to her, I could care less to be honest. If I was unhappy with my appearance and could afford a good doctor to suck out the fat or make me tighter, I'd go for it. I'm going to die eventually, might as well look as good as I want to.

Oh, please.... Everyone gets old- it's no biggie. I'm certainly no spring chicken on the streets of Forever Young Country. So, Stevie has a turkey neck- BFD. I was just saying that she might wanna get a little nip/tuck. My mom hit 62 years old and got a facelift and absolutely loved the results- and she's not even a celebrity in the public eye.
Hey, if Stevie's happy with her gobble gobble that's great.
I'm glad your mum is feeling great, in my opinion one should feel free to do what he/she wants to improve his/ her look, but sometimes it seems almost an obligation. The plastified idea of beauty and frozen unnatural youthness that Hollywood, fashion magazines and publicity sell is every year more pathetic and decadent, especially since so many people feel it's the only possible one. Sorry for the suffragette rant. :p
By the way, great photos, especially those with Stevie and Chrissie Hynde, two beautiful ladies.

I don't care either, but I would never suggest someone should have work done, or that they need to. If you feel old, you're going to come across as old and no amount of surgery will change it.

I am of the opinion that Stevie is probably a vain woman. I mean, anyone who has been photographed that much and in all those different poses and crazy, artsy-fartsy sets would probably be concerned about the fact that she now has a turkey neck.
I'm not saying she should have work done, I'm just surprised that- being the woman that she appears to be- she hasn't done anything about it at this point. I know she tried the scarf-around-the-neck-concealment thing for the second leg of the SYW tour with the gloves and all that crap. But, obviously she wasn't happy with that solution.
Like I said, maybe she's not concerned with it- fine by me.

No darling, what I'm trying so ineloquently to say is that if you're not up close, on stage it can look like her own hair..
When I saw her in regular lighting, as she got onto the elevator, you could tell that she had extensions.
We saw her get into the elevator the day before the show and had dinner about three feet from her. So the next night, when she turned around and did the pose, I knew exactly what that line was in the back of her hair-her extensions.

Most celebrities' faces change so drastically, they don't even seem like the same person), but my opinion on plastic surgery is that it's absolutely unnecessary. Why people can't just be comfortable in their own skin... sagging or not... is beyond me.

Excuse me, but pointing out a lack of tact and general disregard for feelings (because frankly to me it doesn't matter if Stevie never sees these comments...call it a belief in karma, call it what ever you like) does not make me some hyper-sensitive b*tch in need of inner examination.
So sorry if my basic manners somehow put a damper on your good fun. But my heart and mind are just fine, thank you very much. And again so very nice and respectful of you to somehow insinuate otherwise.
You can dish out your humor, but you can't take anyone not being humored by it. I didn't go overboard like some and accuse you of not being a fan. I didn't insinuate or flat say you and your particular brand of criticism don't belong here because it's hardly my place. Or, to put it simply, you can have a different opinion without being really cruel, or taking a really cheap shot - my philosophy is that there are usually plenty of personality/other reasons to criticize someone rather than comment unkindly on their looks - it's not clever, and it's mean, and you may be making fun of something they can't help. :)

I have never had a problem with differing opinions..such as "I hate this song or that one" or "I prefer her older voice". What I do find disturbing, is some "fans" lack of respect and empathy for a woman they say they love. We have all heard Stevie comment on how her weight gain affected her life, her self esteem, her desire to perform, her desire to write. She was deeply hurt a decade ago by the constant comments on her appearance and weight. Knowing that she is self conscious and very insecure with these types of things, you would think that her "fans" would want to be somewhat protective and loyal to her. Yes, she did use the scarf to cover up her neck so we KNOW it apparently bothers her. To then go on a fan board and call it her "gobble gobble neck" might seem funny to some but it seems cruel and disloyal to me. I am not saying that we need to defend her blindly or that we cannot tastefully critique her. "Loyalty" does not mean we have to say only nice things about her, that we can't ever make fun of things, like her dress or her reeboks. Stevie has a great sense of humour so humour is fine on the boards. However, to make the one subject that Stevie has said distresses and hurts her deeply, the constant source of the jokes, seems cruel in my world. Try and put yourself in her shoes. (insert Reebok joke here..stuff like that is hysterical) She cannot change the fact she is aging. She has expressed a fear of plastic surgery. Her body is changing and that is life. I am not there to look at her body..I am there to hear her voice, listen to her words. Just try and give her a break once in awhile....because iff you look at it honestly, this forum is filled with quite alot of insulting comments directed at Stevie's physical appearance under the guise of humour.
*bracing myself for attacks...I am sure I will be called a chiffonhead who can't accept any of her faults and then told to just go away if I don't like it**

Yet Stevie's face is a Picasso?? Good lord, child. We ought to buy you another pair of glasses--a pair that works  I have been up in this womans face with my own eyes and my camera and you can totally see that she's an older woman. Yes, she's aging and yes she's in the public eye but she's aging pretty damn well and rather gracefully might I add. Her skin is amazing and while I would assume she's had chemical peels and perhaps a little botox (and even that i'm not 100% sure of), there's no doubt in my mind that she takes excellent care of her skin and has yet to take the plunge under the knife where her face is concerned. Why are we even discussing this again for the 500th time?? ;)

"I often joke in public and onstage about whether I've had plastic surgery or liposuction. But I can honestly say I've had neither. The idea of being under the knife or a hose for lipo, makes me feel ill."
One viewing of The Stepford Wives, her performance of Wind Beneath My Wings after 9/11, or her appearance on Inside the Actor's Studio is proof-postive enough that she hasn't had anything invasive done. I'm sure she uses botox and the like, and has non-surgical face lifts, but I think that's about it.

Why are we even discussing this again for the 500th time?? ;)
Darling, I think she had work done after Street Angel. To what extent, I have no idea (though my money is on an eye lift) but no one will ever convince me otherwise. :xoxo:

One person's cruel is another person's hysterical. Perhaps, Stevie is distressed and hurt deeply when people make fun of her Frankenboks because she feels she has no other choice due to her hip problems and short stature.
However, to make the one subject that Stevie has said distresses and hurts her deeply, the constant source of the jokes, seems cruel in my world.
Again, it's subjective.
She cannot change the fact she is aging. She has expressed a fear of plastic surgery. Her body is changing and that is life. I am not there to look at her body..I am there to hear her voice, listen to her words.
Exactly my point. She knows she's older. She knows she's in the public eye. No one is forcing her to be a celebrity, go the RNR banquet and have her picture taken. It's absolutely ludicrous to expect a 56 year old woman to look like she did when she was in her late twenties. All I pointed out was that it seems that she is concerned about the condition of her neck (hence the scarf on the tour), I noticed it was getting worse, and wondered if she might want to take care of it.

Okay. Now you're making sense to me. But don't your two statements contradict each other? Sorry - I'm not trying to be harsh. Just wondering.
As Johnny Stew and Amber have already said (Thank you both :xoxo: ) I also think that there's nothing wrong in negative comments when they're made in a spirit of reciprocal respect. Also as positivity, so negativity has different shades for me. From some negative posts of people who have a deeper musical knowledge then mine or have watched concerts in the seventies and the eighties, even if they haven't inflenced my opinion, I learnt a lot about the atmosphere in those periods or made me aware to observe something more in the structure of a song. JMO. :)
About some other kinds of negativity, there isn't much to say except that humour in those type of posts remind me the small man behind the fake wizard of Oz's appearance.

Ya know.... I went back and re-read all of my posts in this thread and never once did I state anything that could be construed as callous or hurtful.
This-
Hey, if Stevie's happy with her gobble gobble that's great.
was a playful add-on to this-
Everyone gets old- it's no biggie. So, Stevie has a turkey neck- BFD.
This-
Good ole Super Brian- flying in with the cape to defend poor, old, fat Stevie Nicks.... the star with no voice and no talent.
was pointing out that whenever anyone says anything along the lines of Stevie's possible weight gain, vocal problems, or spaciness-compared-to-Lindsey-the-only-reason-she's-good-is-because-of-his-talent routine, Brian always flies into the rescue to support her- which has it's endearing quality, which is why I posted (in the same post) this-
:xoxo: You're always there to protect her, honey. Jeez, she should hire your ass as her personal assistant- at least you'd look out for her.
So, WTF??? For the thousandth time. Stevie is 56. Yeah, she's got a turkey neck. No, there's nothing wrong with it- it's a fact of life. The woman is a celebrity in the public eye who, in the past, has expressed vain tendencies. Maybe she might wanna fix her "gobble gobble", maybe she's fine with it considering her age and the fact that she is quite lovely for a woman of 56.
If you think I said something hurtful and callous, then that's your problem. You've got the damn ignore button- use it.

I'm recording it, so I can go back and watch closer tomorrow. I was hoping someone would have posted somewhere when she was shown but nobody has... whassup with that?

There was a shot of her when they went to commercial hugging a woman with dark hair at one of the tables.

I'm hoping we all get one as a concert favor in Vegas...I'm sure she has 5000 or so lying around....
LOL! I'm surprised you don't have one already! :p

I was taping this last night, but also was trying to watch it, switching back & forth to skating.
I must have missed this of Stevie, but I did hear the Chrissy Hynde of the Pretenders shout "Stevie Nicks" when she was singing, but why she did, I don't know. I'll have to watch the tape. I really wanted to see U2, but I went to bed. I got tired of Bruce going on & on & on.

I know, Bruce talked for like a half hour and that's when I went to sleep too! :)
OK, I've fast-forwarded through Bruce, & I just watched the U2 part only. When Bono goes into the audience & sings, it looks like Stevie & Mick are sitting to the right of Bono, or the left-hand side of the stage. I can't swear to it though. Maybe someone else who taped it can really watch this part & can tell if it's them.
On another note, I just love U2. I can't wait to see them in October even if it's from the nosebleed section! :]

It just occurred to me as I was watching this tonight... Next year will mark the 25th anniversary of Bella Donna!! (I feel sooo old....) which means Stevie is eligible to be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame as a solo artist. I just wonder whether she will be inducted as soon as she becomes eligible (like U2), or whether it will take eons (like the O'Jays) or ever. I figured she must have been doing some serious schmoozing and pressing the flesh this year!
Also... I wonder if the organizer had to make sure to seat Stevie and Jimmy Iovine as far apart as possible.

I thought that's who it looked like she was hugging when they went to commercial break after the third Pretenders song.
I know it was someone with a baseball hat and Jimmy always wears a baseball hat. It's so quick though...they only show her for 2 seconds.

It was Jimmy. It was a guy with dark hair and a blue baseball hat. They showed Jimmy during U2's speech and he was wearing a blue hat.

She always looks matronly to me, but if she would thin out the damned bangs instead of leaving them as thick as molasses in January, she'd look ten times better.
Matronly...there's that word again. Talk about beating a dead horse...
