Let's play "Find The Practical Solution"!

Dust buildup on your upright piano accumulates periodically. What practical step do you take?

Play a lot very loudly -- the vibrations will shake it off.
Get a made-to-measure dust sheet which covers you, the bench and the piano -- get in and don't come out.
Arrange a water sprinkler above the piano and keep it turned on.
Place a cloth on each surface in turn and whilst applying a gentle pressure move it from side to side.
Buy a new piano frequently.
Raise one end of the piano about 6 inches so there are no horizontal surfaces on which the dust can accumulate.

I do not equate a having a maid with being an elitist. Now - a butler could be

The word "maid" makes me cringe. Probably because when I was a kid, I'd ask my mother to do something for me and she'd yell "I'm not your goddamned maid!"

If this was about dust accumulating on your "upright organ" I'd tell you that you have more problems then you think. ;)

Declare dust a threat to national security and invade and blow up piano when dust accumulation reaches threat level.

Wealthy Minds, actually. :)

I raise a child by myself without the benefit of child support.
I also happen to run a business by myself, run a house by myself and find time to exercise 5-6 times per week.
I am fortunate enough to have a housekeeper so that I can have some time to do what I want/need to do.
I am by no stretch of the imagination wealthy. :)
