Is there any proof that Stevie has any intention to do anything this summer? Everything I've read are just big rumors. I'm just so confused because everyone here is posting like crazy as if it is fact that she is going on some big summer tour. I would love it if this were true, I just don't want to get my hopes up.

No one really has any concrete info for a summer tour just yet. She does have dates listed on Ticketmaster for Vegas May 10,11 and 13,14 so I guess that it would be a sign that she is going to tour this summer. We still don't have any word on thoses shows from The Nicksfix, either.
Billboard.com did mention a possible Stevie/Don Henley bill this summer but we don't have any further info on that right now.

I really want to go to one of the shows in Vegas. I had so much fun at the Atlantic City show in Sept! Stevie was on fire that night and I was front row, right in front of her mic! It was the best night of my life! But I don't want to start planning a trip to Vegas until I hear official word. I'm not even old enough to gamble yet so a trip to Vegas would just be a big waste of money if Stevie canceled the shows!

Ticketmaster always calls their pre-sales "fanclub" presales, whether or not the artist has a fanclub at all. Usually it just means that in order to participate in the pre-sales (which usually suck anyway) you are given a "secret" password, usually from the artists website or email listing.

Under normal circumstances, presales are meant for season ticket holders for games, sports games, like for instance hockey game season tickets. I know for myself... Our company has season tickets at the arena here for our hockey team... Any time a concert comes to town, we are notified by email and have the option, about 3-4 days before tickets go onsale to the general public, to buy our season ticket seats before anyone else does. Not cut rate or anything, it's just a perk of having the season tickets. But in vegas at this venue... unless Celine sells season tickets, which is a scream if they do... and even funnier if someone buys them, I have no idea what or who a presale could be for... maybe the hi rollers of cecsars have first dibs, or the hotel staff, or like before, american express card holders. I'm sure someone has an early option somewhere, otherwise it wouldn't be there...

How many seats does this place have? I just cant picture it. These so called shows are less than 2 months away and there is no promotion anywhere.

It does not make sense that these shows are less then two months away and there is no official word. I still don't beleive it, even if the dates are on ticketmaster. Until I get official word I will not be getting too excited about seeing Stevie this summer.
The Don Henley thing: I'd bet money that is just a rumor.
I really do want to see Stevie this summer... supporting that new album she is supposedly writing!

She can DEFINETELY fill four nights there...almost anyone big could..it seats 4,100....and these shows would sell well regardless if any of us bought tix or not...just because so many tourists make a habit of seeing whatever show is playing there...

Of course it's about the money. This is for the average Vegas tourist, not fans like us. These concerts don't need to be promoted because the overwhelming majority of people who are going to buy the tickets are people who are in Vegas for vacation. All they need to to do is light up the sign letting them know that Stevie Nicks is playing and the tickets will sell. That's why I don't expect her to play anything rare, I bet this is going to be a by-the-numbers standard Nicks show because that's what the people are going to be paying to hear: the hits.

I saw that a few big name acts were playing at the Hard Rock venue. At first I thought that it was nice to do this for the fans. Then I saw the price. Actually Billy Joel's price of $325.00  That is just crazy! I guess that it is business as usual and not about the fans again.
At least Stevie is not that bad yet. I can just imagine how much Don Henley would want to charge for a Hard Rock show.

Annnnnd Josh hits the nail on the head. I don't suspect that many of the people attending these shows are going to be like us saying, "wow, Stevie's playing Vegas! Let's fly out and see her!" They're going to be casual listeners on vacation that will hear she's playing and decide to check her show out. As far as her playing what she wants as opposed to the hits? Not in Vegas, kids. Not. In. Vegas. They're going to want the Stand Back, Edge of Seventeen, Landslide, etc. so i'm thinking the songs she plays will be pretty much the same as when she played the Millenium show with a song or two from TISL thrown in for good measure. And if she's getting the kind of money that I suspect she is for four nights in Vegas, she's going to be playing what they want her to and not what she might like to play.

I agree with both of you, so this means bad news for fans spoiled by the Fleetwood Mac tour. If you're killing yourself to get front row or near stage seats, expect to have everyone in the auditorium yelling at you to sit down during the show. Just like at the Aladdin during TISL, the Vegas crowd won't be there to "rock out." Most will be there for the hell of it. They'll be on vacation. If they have money they'll go just to get some entertainment. This means the set list will likely be safe and generic. The crowd will be expecting a lounge act not a rock concert. This won't be like the Mac tour except the shows at the Indian casion where nobody had any fun because everyone had to stay seated. Go if you want to see Stevie, but don't expect the atmosphere of Fleetwood Mac. It won't be like that.

On the other hand, the Atlantic City Borgata show in September was a great show and everyone stood up in the front row rocked out and sang along (Stevie even mention how we were practically drowning her voice out during Landslide!) But that was an outdoor ampitheatre and it had a rock and roll feel because it was outside, and not in a "lounge" environment. I was front row for that show so I really didn't see what was going on- I didn't look back the whole night- my eyes were glued to Stevie!
I guess my point is that not all casino shows are a bust. Did anyone else go to the Borgata concert? It was amazing! Stevie was on fire and it was not reserved at all- it was a rock concert!

Yeah, the AC crowd was rockin'!
So was the MGM crowd in Vegas in Oct. 2003. The MGM arena is also big, like most other arenas anywhere else.
Chumash was different because it was an Indian Reservation casino, w/ their own customs, including standing being considered rude and disrespectful toward their chief, right? I seem to remember something about that - and the band being told before the show not to take it personally that the crowd would remain seated.....
The thing w/ places like the Aladdin and Caesar's is that these are NICE theaters, with carpeting and plush, velvet comfy seats. I thought the crowd at the 2nd nite at the Aladdin was more into it, and tolerated "standers" more than the first nite - Pip, would you agree?

I was thinking this may be the case this time too. We'll see. I don't really care, to be honest. I just want to see this woman & hear her sing agin. If I have to sit, I'll sit & sing really loudly & chair dance with Amber & Theresa.
And nobody - NOBODY - is going to stop me from trying to get up to the stage for Edge. Oh wait, everyone will probably be gone by then, right? I can only hope. :D I've already been manhandled by security (hello Toronto :wavey: ) so I'm used to it.

i was at the borgata show, right up front too, what part of the stage were you by? we were parked in front of LB's mic, nice stevie views and the ability to get hit with LB sweat... it was a completely different atmosphere than what's coming at caesar's palace, it was an outdoor venue with folding chairs, and like someone posted, the colosseum is a real actual theater. i've got the feeling that bum-rushing the stage would ultimately be a bad idea - but then again, that's never stopped me

If you remember correctly though, the Borgata did not allow anyone other than front row ticket holders up front. There was no place for anyone to stand anyway as the front row seats were practically right against the stage. I know people behind us probably moved up closer than their ticketed seats but that certainly wasnt the best place to get upfront. Security was sort of tight and even checked stubs 'during' the show. I was in front of Stevie and it was a FAB show but that was a big time rock and roll event. this Caesars gig is gonna be more of a theatre show. The regular hits and not that long...we are used to two and a half hour Mac shows...this set can't be longer than an hour and a half. With the fifteen minute musical intro into Eo17..well you see what I mean.

At the MGM in '98 my friends and I got down for Edge and we were way up in a section off of the floor. I don't know how Caesar's will compare to that but we were surprised we pulled that off!

I was front row right in front of Stevie's microphone (exactly where I wanted to be!) I think it may be a little inappropriate to rush the stage at Caesar's Palace, because like you said it is more of a theatre (the indoor picture reminds me of a broadway theatre in NYC). It all depends if the general audience treats this like a rock concert or if they treat it more of as a musical/lounge act where you stay seated the whole time.

I must have been standing right next to you! I was in row two and moved up the second the Chain started to row one and I was litterally right in front of Stevie's mic. The only thing that sucked about the set up was that there were these gate sort of things in between row one and the stage so we couldn't actually reach out and touch Stevie! I did get to touch Lindsey's guitar when he came down the stage during ISA I think. I actually more like grazed his guitar because of those ****ing gates! It was impossible to really strum his guitar- it was too far away! But it was a wonderful night...
I didn't think security was too tight- a lot of people front row were sitting on each other's laps before the show started and obviously did not have real row one tickets. When the security guard came in the middle of the show to check tickets I was afraid he was going to tell me to move back a row. It made no sense that he started checking tickets an hour into the show though- everyone was all situated and comfortable anyways and I didn't think anyone was squished in there- I thought there was plenty of room to dance around!
