OK, with all the talk about "what will she/should she/won't she" do in Vegas/this tour/ever/etc. This thread is only for the songs you want to hear so badly that you would, as Diss put it, "fall down and die" if you heard her do them live. It does not matter if you don't think it will ever happen, or if it's happened before & you've just never heard it, or if you don't think she can handle the vocal anymore. Just list 'em.
Space Needle
Storms
Illume
Straight Back
Black Velvet (I actually don't like the song, but it's like legend now, so come on! Do it so we can all get it on boot & stop searching for it :laugh: )
Bella Donna
Sister Honey
Fireflies
Thrown Down
Lady From the Mountain
Touched By An Angel
Angel
All of those would kill me. My heart wouldn't be able to take it. I'd be in heaven! :angel:

Battle of the Dragon, although honestly I'm not sure how it could be done live. I just adore the song so much that even if it were botched, I would be totally into the fact that she even tried! (This is how I feel about boots of Sleeping Angel, lol).

Now THAT would be one awesome show! I am really hoping that Mr. B makes a special appearence at one of the shows. With that said I would hope that she would do:

...I'd spend as much as it took for tickets, fly to the show, listen and stare at Stevie the whole time, and then die.
Of course, for this to happen, the following would have to be played:

The Highwayman
Crystal
Frozen Love
estranged4life
03-12-2005, 08:26 AM
tracks would grab my attention:

Hmm, solo Stevie setlist additions that would make me fall down and die of joy...
* Storms (first and foremost, gotta be...that song alone would probably send me into a happy spastic fit)
* Everybody Finds Out (because it rocks and I fear there is a better chance of hell freezing over than of ever hearing it with FM)
* Smile At You
* Destiny Rules
* Bella Donna
* Beauty & The Beast
* Gate & Garden
* Nightbird
* Sable On Blonde (Love the layered harmonies on the Wild Heart album...have no idea how those songs would translate to stage, but I'd give up a years' salary to see her try.)
* Talk To Me
* I Sing For The Things
* I Still Miss Someone (Simplified and de80's-ed. Love Johnny Cash and would love to hear Stevie's take on this song today, maybe something accoustic)
* Greta
* Rose Garden
* Love Changes
* Bombay Saphires
* Fall From Grace
* Sleeping Angel (True I got to see in on the Enchanter Tour which is probably part of why I want to see it again)
* Violet & Blue
* Insider (but only with Petty)
* Twisted (but only with Lindsey)
* At Last
* China Doll
* Spinning Wheels
* Space Needle
* Chanel, Chanel
* Have No Heart
* My Heart (I love TISL, but I'll never understand how some of the songs ended up getting cut. IMO a couple of them were stronger than 3/4 of what did make the album)
* Touched By An Angel
* And one rarity of Stevie's choosing...I mean she made me completely and utterly fall in love with Beautiful Child this last tour when I'd always been indifferent to the song.
Come on Stevie, don't be affraid to take some chances with your setlist. The die hards will love it. And if the casual fan doesn't, well you'll already have the price of admission and by the time you tour again the casual fan will have forgotten all about your setlist. :>

It wouldn't be popular. It would never happen, but I think when she's by herself she should only do solo material, unreleased songs or covers.
I don't want any more songs that are part of the standard Mac set.
Stevie, please dump GDW, Dreams, Rhiannon, Gypsy, etc. No Mac songs! Make room for:
Nightbird
How Still My Love
Rooms On Fire
Trouble in Shangri-la
Fall From Grace

It's the only track that I *really* like from Street Angel. I think it has her most passionate vocal and the delivery is impeccable.

His version blows Stevie's out of the water, but I still think Stevie did an admirable job with it. :nod:

his version is good, but less melodic, of course. Still, there is a bit more poignancy in hearing Bob's version...I like them about equally, for different reasons, but I heard Bob's first, of course...either way, the lyrics are to die for... :woohoo:

for Stevie... I recently received some discs sourced from the direct master tapes of Cheap Trick's 3 shows at the Paradise Theatre in Boston from Oct.15-16-17,1998 in which Cheap Trick played setlists nightly that were comprised of complete albums (i.e.-One night was the "Dream Police" album, The next was a setlist of the album "Cheap Trick") from the first track to the last track, With the rest of the setlists from each night filled out with some of their hits throughout their long career.
I would like to see Stevie pull something similar with these upcoming Vegas shows, One night play "Bella Donna" in its entirety then the next night play "The Wild Heart" and so on...I know if will not happen, But it would be cool to see/hear<img src="http://www.angelfire.com/music3/rhiannon/Headbang-Smilie.gif">

That's a great idea Brian, and I would love to see Stevie do something like that. But like you said, it will never happen. :distress:
BTW- I think it's really cool when bands play an entire album live- e.g. Queensryche's Operation: Mindcrime.
