Ummm...this is more than a little bit scary. How the hell did he get a gun away from a cop, then get out of the building to run? Hello? All the things going on in the world today & nobody could stop him? Aren't there tons of police/guards at courthouses?

That is terribly sad. That guy's gonna have a lot more to worry about now than a rape trial. What a waste of humanity.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps he'd rather be dead than be in jail? Maybe he's hoping to get killed or maybe he'll blow his own head off?

How terrible for the families of those killed. Makes me ill.

We've been watching all morning and it's incredibly sad. I'm guessing he's made it out of Atlanta and is on his way either south toward Alabama or north toward South Carolina. It's just so ridiculous. This animal could have easily just served his time in jail (if he'd been found guilty) but now that he's shot and murdered three people and injured another along with the many other things he's done while evading police. Now he'll probably get the death penalty. So stupid...so so stupid...

It was a mess. I work a couple of blocks away from there. Those poor people. They were just doing their jobs just like we all do every day. Heartwrenching

All of the traffic signs on the interstate today say something like "ATLANTA POLICE SUSPECT IN GREEN HONDA CIVIC...CALL 911" and it has the tag number and all...It's a crazy scene in Atlanta today, plus all the major national news networks are covering this mess including CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC...I first heard about it sitting in the Dallas FW airport watching the tv waiting on a flight to Atlanta today

I was eating dinner at The Outback last night with my friends and they were showing it all on the TV. The shootings, the blood, and even the policeman giving CPR to a victim. I was disgusted and made them turn it. It doesn't deserve to be displayed all over the TV. :distress:

I fully expected him to be killed upon capture...Im surprised hes actually being arrested. Did they use a taser or spray to subdue this guy? he's pretty huge..

without incident to officials and is now in Federal custody in Duluth...Really strange is he did not harm the hostage that he had taken after the killing spree yesterday

I dunno. ;)

My two friends (a lesbian and bisexual) go there with me all the time....It's fab. We know all the staff. We get free drinks. We pick what we want to watch on the TV (minus what happened last night). You should have seen us watch American Idol there. It was a hoot. It's just a nice place to go and hang with my girls.

I need a bf, though. :o

This guy looks pretty big to me. I guess my question is why did they have a female deputy alone in an elevator with this guy? He had a knife found in his boot last week.

why not?
it's real life, it happens.
would you rather they not mention it at all?

At The Outback? That's a little much to handle while eating a blooming onion.
