As you all know...I am the Jeremy that does the Stevie/FM Remixes and can someone HONESTLY tell me where the DIVA Remixes originated? I was on this old mp3 list and I trusted everyone there with my remixes. Yes they are just a hobby of mine but they are hard work and when they were taken away from me and stripped of my name it made me very MAD. I think I might know who it is...someone on that old mp3 list, but I really want to know where that set came from. Who made it. Who stole my SH** from me. LOL Someone tell me please...I just want closure. Now I know how Stevie feels...her demos being taken...lol:confused: You can even send me a private message with any info and I promise it will not be broadcasted where the info came from. I probably wont even do anything because they arent copyrighted I just need peace of mind so that I will know who not to trust anymore. Not that I trust anyone from those days anyway.

Ok....Storms is mine, Everyday is mine, I Can't Wait is mine, Rooms On Fire is mine, Love Changes is mine...BUT they took "Jeremy's Remix" off of Storms, Rooms On Fire, and Love Changes...but left them on the CRAPIEST remixes I ever did (ALL of them are bad IMO..early years of remixing)...and changed the names to like "Confident Dance Mix"?? WTF I never called it that...and "Electronica Mix"?? Never called it that either..and Killer Remix...ok it was Jeremy's Killer Remix...I got that list from Thrown Down but the original source listed set for that is exactly the same as the above. I guess what I am trying to say with all of this is...ask permission before you do something like that. It is very offensive....many days and nights I worked on those and the ones I do now..the reason they sound so much better...weeks and weeks of work on the newer ones (Thrown Down, 24 Karat Gold, Think About It)...if you all wrote a book of poetry and copied it for a friend to read then you find out that half of the city has it without your permission and without your name on it..how would you feel?

No..I was hoping someone would know where the source set came from. Not automatically thinking someone here knows...I figured I would ask since the majority of the old/still active mp3 list is on here..maybe someone would be honest and tell me. It isnt about assumptions..it is a matter of hope. I made the remixes by request for the list and didnt think anything of it. But the point is...If I wanted to trade something that belonged to someone else I would have asked first. I would/still do that. So if no one knows...which I know no one will speak up...then please if you have the set..just know that I made those remixes and in the future..rename them to their rightful titles.

Um read threads before you make comments like that. People have asked me in the last few days if I am that Jeremy. Read Up. Slapping drum loops isnt all you do unfortunately. You have to split the song up into timed 8 counts so that they match up with every loop you add (Takes about 30 mins if you are good at it). THEN you pick out your loops and instruments to add...going through massive archives of loops to find the "right ones"...THEN you have to line them all up on the mixing board...then you have to listen to to it see if it sounds right...and then you can never be happy with it so you spend hours and days trying to perfect it.... The old remixes I did were just drum loops over the songs. Now with the new ones I have done..I have taken acapellas from the master reels and have created my own music to them in tune with the song. Need I say this..MUCH HARDER WORK. The splitting into 8 counts is rather hard without a beat behind the vocal so you have to time it just right in order for it to work. Also, you have to have an ear to hear if it is in tune with everything that is behind it. I never said it made me infamous. That was your add on. Obviously a LOT of people have my remixes now considering throwndown.net had the WHOLE diva remixes set posted for everyone and their brother to download (Thank you David that was awesome of you..I lost those diva remixes in a hard drive crash and I was finally able to get them back when you posted them!) Yes they may be copyrighted album tracks but I dont get any profit from them at all. I do not sell my remixes or anything Stevie/FM related so that copyrighted comment goes unreguarded by me. I have a love for music...Mixing is my hobby as you can tell from listening to those old diva remixes to my newer ones I have gotten a lot better. A LOT! I do not believe in selling material that isnt mine. Yes I may have remixed it but as you see on Stevie Nicks Info...the (Unofficial) next to my Thrown Down Remix ...yes that is exactly it..unofficial. You are trying to make it sound like I have a big head when I dont. Maybe you just like to try to make people feel like they are the size of a pea because you get some satisfaction out of doing so. Who knows? We all have our problems but I dont blast people publicly. It is hard work to do the remixes. Sorry if I seem uptight or mean but you are criticizing my hard work here by saying "Oh its just drum loops slapped onto blah blah blah" Try making one. Then tell me it is just slapping drum loops onto copyrighted album tracks. I am not here to start any arguments or fights. What I said in my first post was very clear and simple...and to those who read it wrong or had to email other people to say "Omg guess what he is up to now" sorry but that is the way I decided to post this. Yes and she would get royalties even FM would get royalties but it would keep people from hi-jacking my stuff and I would be able to take legal action against guilty parties. But I dont want to do that...although I have already looked up info on how to do go about copyrighting. People do it all the time. Look at Planets...Big Love (the new remixes)..it happens.

Could it all just be a big misunderstanding, Jeremy? I don't think I have any of your remixes (although I've heard a few and liked them), but I often rename mp3s when I download them for my own personal reference, and because my DVD/MP3 player doesn't show full filenames.

A title like "Stevie Nicks - Song XYZ - Master Reel ABC - Take 1 - 05-26-76 - Part 1" just doesn't mean much to me. And on my DVD player, all I see is "stevsonX.mp3". Plus, if it's "the demo where she stops everything to ask for a toot", then I usually reference that in the filename somehow because that's what makes the demo unique to me, as opposed to "the one where she sings the word 'dreams' for .5 seconds longer". ;)

Of course, I'm not a "trader" so my renaming really doesn't matter, just thinking that other people may do the same thing out of necessity, not spite. Although the snarkiness Amber referenced may point to the latter, unfortunately.

I got over the remixes..as I am not even posting about them anymore but some people just love to pick on me for past incidents which did happen in the past. People just do not see change. They do not see the good in anything. And it really hurts my feelings that people still dwell on the fact that I made a mistake in the past...apologized for it..and moved on. Boy I would hate to be them..having all of that animosty brewing inside of me..its pitiful. I wouldnt be able to live with it. So sad.

We used to have music from time to time that we could share but had to wait a bit before we share it broadly. When Jeremy wanted to come back, we would not have him back, so he in turn pretended to be other ppl on the Chain and blast us and threaten to turn us into the FBI or God or something, so the entire group just disbanded. Yes, our Jeremy is a great friend and person. Thing is that now he will NEVER get any of the music because he caused the well to go dry. Thanks again buddy.

Hi, no it is not a tabu thing, it was a group of fans who had a special in to some of the music. The music was always shared and was not kept close to be selfish, but, to meet the request of the provider. Now, that is all gone. The group no longer exists, and it is ancient history, but, there are reasons he may want to change his name. Sorry Jeremy, you outed yourself on this one. Live with it.

You used to bounce a lot. This particular list's rules asked that people have large file capacities. Many people over the years didn't, & decided to beg off. There were also other frequent logistical problems related to your coming & going from the mail list (it's a hassle to have to keep requesting that a fairly large group of mail list members change their distribution addresses). What's the big deal now?

It was fun while it lasted -- even the occasional drama that occurred (as we all know by now, drama occurs on every electronic gathering of Stevie fans). But with all the download pages up now & the bit torrent stuff, it's been rendered obsolete.

He had some of the master reel stuff (instrumentals from 'Rock A Little' and some others), a few live tracks, some rare alternate takes and an official remix of "I Can't Wait" from the 1986 maxi-single.

Sometimes it is better to see both sides equally than just taking one person's side which seems to happen a lot in the community. If someone broke into your house and stole your most prized stuff and someone told you that they saw who did it...before knowing if they were right or wrong with THEIR accusations, wouldnt you confront the accused? You have a really warped view of reality if you believe half of the stuff you just posted. All of this over some anonymous schlub out in Stevieland renaming a few of your remixes of copyrighted songs? If you don't want people doing stuff with them, don't post them for everyone to download and do what they want with. Nowhere near as sexy as Greg's or Hayley's, but it has the Sexfont and RHTS!Debbie on it, so that? Is cool with me. And it has Steves, from a t-shirt. I shall post pictures of the new one later. :)

By the way, Hayley? You totally need to post that bag to craftgrrl on LJ. That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. :)
