I posted this info on the Rumours forum bit with a different title.

Hey I went on the OLD BuckinghamNicks message board (don't know what made me go there) and there was a new post from Taku! He has a new website TakuHirano.com and he also has some photos from the Fleetwood Mac tour posted there. He also mentioned that Stevie will be performing for five nights at Ceasar's Palace from May 11-15 at Celine Dion's theater.
Just thought that I would pass on the info.

I am just posting what I read. I really hope that this is true! :blob2:

Oh, no! That could totally interfere with my NOTS fundage! Dammit, Stevie, why can't you play when it's convenient for ME? Though, we could just switch the big Ledgie party to Vegas, although since a lot are east coast ledgies, that probably would not work...*sigh* Well, if that is true, happy birthday to you, Pattie! :D

I guess that I will be celebrating my b-day on the 11th instead if the 8th in Vegas. I have a frequent flyer voucher that it the main reason that I am going. I wonder how much tickets will be?

well, since I found tickets from Oakland to NY for between 200-300 dollars, probably not that much. I really need to keep abreast of this if she is really playing, cause seriously that fundage was set aside for NOTS. It seems kind of close and not that expensive for me to go to Vegas, but really it will be. :( Pattie, you are much more up on these things, will you post if you hear something else? :xoxo: That would be great, though, if I could manage to go to NOTS and Vegas... :D

I kinda hope Stevie isn't playing in Vegas May 11-15. I will have just been in Vegas for 5 days a few weeks prior to this and then my boss will be gone May 11-15 and I'm sure she will probably want me to work. Stevie, pick another date! :distress:

The day I pay Las Vegas ticket prices, along with a plane ticket, to see Stevie Nicks sing Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, and Rhiannon is the day that George W. Bush denounces modern conservatism and embraces liberalism. :p

it gets f*cking cold in phx in winter... much colder than southern california... i've even had to scrape frost off my windshield in the morning... well, once. at night it's in the 30s quite often in december. i know it's not that bad to you in canada... but our bodies down here are accustomed to much warmer weather... i don't even sweat until it gets to 100 degrees or more.

Yeah, when I went to AHI in Dec of 2001 I was not too prepared for the cold. I had clothing for warmer weather and I froze most of my trip down there while we were haviing a heatwave of 70 back home in RI. Just my luck. :(
I also went to AZ once in the middle of March and it was quite chlly even then.

I took that Monday the 9th off which I don't need now. I am not sure if any one is off the rest of the week either. Who knows. I remember when Fleetwood Mac's first leg tour schedule came out I called MGM to make reservations and they had no idea that the Mac were even playing there.
I don't see Celine listed for those dates but that doesn't mean that anyone other then Stevie might be playing there. I also remember a rumour about a year ago that Stevie was going to play there last Oct. That was false. This info is coming from Taku who has no reason to make things up but again things are always subject to change.
Maybe the deal has not be signed in ink yet. I don't really know but I wish that we would find out soon for sure one way or the other.
Keep in mind that Taku told me last Sept that there were rumours of another Mac tour this summer. I guess that we will just have to wait and see what is and isn't true.

The same thing happened with the Borgata in Atlantic City. They seemed to have not a clue that Fleetwood Mac was playing...and this was even after it had been shown on Ticketmaster. I have a feeling she will be playing but i'd say let's wait and see before we start making crazy travel plans...although a trip to Vegas doesn't sound half bad right about now

I still remember them calling up and I said to them, "well, i'm looking at it on ticketmaster right now and tickets are going on sale this Saturday..." They were oblivious. I think it's much different with these casino shows VS the shed shows and things of that nature since most of the time, venues inside the casino are owned and operated by the casino itself and not clear channel or an organization like that. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough...hang in there!

The wynn is on the strip but is not open yet. It looks great. It's on the other end of the strip though (from Ceasar's, the wynn is by the sahara and stratosphere). I definitely hope this is true as I am supposed to be in vegas during those dates.

Sort of... it's on the opposite end by the older stuff like Treasure Island, etc. I was there in November and it looked enormous. I really like the design though. It's sort of mirrored, like Mandalay Bay but more muted so it's not as flashy. Very pretty in the daytime, and then at night it looks completely black except for the name scrawled across the top in glittering lights. Sometimes I look at the strip and it's like vertigo from all the blinking . The Wynn looked nice & classy off in the distance.

If I remember correctly, it is fairly large. However, if Stevie is performing for 5 nights, chances are she'd get random walk-ins that have just bought tickets that day or that week and not in advance. It would seem to me that most people going to see these shows would be in the area on vacation, hear Stevie Nicks is performing and say, "gee, let's go." Of course, I could be wrong  I'd figure most promotion for this show would go on in the hotel and that area.

Like Pattie said, it was on a message board.....

"Official," being the key word in your post - remember when ONE radio station announced that Stevie would appear on that Fashion Rocks show? And what was that other rumour recently? I forget, but the point is, it never happened, and was never gonna happen. And that's why rumours don't get posted on Stevie's "official" website.

PS: I remembered the other rumour - that Stevie was flying to Norway to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Yeah, she was gonna leave Hawaii to do that....

I have to agree here. I mean there were rumors that La Nicks was going to be in Vegas last year after the tour or something like that - I think the CP website even said that. It was not true. So, while other sites may have the advance rumor - trust me when I say if you do not want to get burned with expenses for something that is not going to happen, wait until it is officially posted on the nicksfix

Has anyone ever even been to the Celine Dion theater? I mean what is it like? Is it an intimate venue or can it be set up that way?
If it is a large venue I really can't see Stevie doing very well for 5 nights.

For a 5 day (sold out) stretch of Celine shows there are approx. 20,000 people, so the venue for Celin's shows holds around 4,000. The stage is massive, sloping down towards the audience... But that's a more theatrical show then what I'm sure Stevie will put on.

If they plan on selling that many shows with that capacity... they better get moving on the promo and the ticket selling, it's only 2.5 months away!!

A friend of mine just got this off of billboard.com so I thought i'd share (thanks, Carlos :wavey: )

Talk is starting to heat up about early summer tour packages for North America. Among the outings believed to be in the works are a Don Henley/Stevie Nicks bill, a Queensryche/Judas Priest pairing and a tour featuring Robert Plant and another high-profile artist. Another American Idols tour is also being plotted, and a North American tour by Queen and Paul Rodgers is also still a go, sources say.

Considering the success of their recent tours with the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, respectively, Henley and Nicks would seem to be a can't miss collaboration. Henley has joined Nicks on stage on several occasions during her solo tours for the duet "Leather and Lace," most recently at the last two shows of her 2001 Trouble in Shangri-La trek.

I think DH is one of the biggest tools on the planet as a person. As a singer and songwriter, I think he puts on a good show and I do enjoy his voice. However, the two of them together? No. I don't like artists touring together. I remember back in 98' Alanis and Tori toured together. Now i'm a Tori fan but I hate Alanis. Tori opened for Alanis, played a really short set and then Alanis played. That's only a few songs per person. If i'm going to see a Stevie Nicks show, I want a Stevie Nicks show. That's Stevie Nicks for a full two hours or whatever and nothing but Stevie Nicks. If I wanted to see Henley, I'd buy one of the overpriced tickets to see The Eagles or wait for him to come to Jersey again (he was here not too long ago). As much as I enjoy doing the Dirty Laundry backsasser dance, I won't like it if they tour together. At all.

I think Don has a great voice but his solo songs for the most part are dullsville. I don't see them has having the same type of audience. As a matter of fact most Eagles fans do not even like Fleetwood Mac or Stevie.

I really would love to see Stevie tour but only solo or with Fleetwood Mac.

Or rather the decision making of her people thinking this is a most advantageous venture that will line their pockets.

The Eagles are on tour right now. Most fans are not going to have $ left over for a Don and Stevie ticket.

I kind of hope that if it is true that it is a total flop and no pockets will be lined. I doubt that I am even going to go to one show right now. I guess I'll save up just incase there is any kind of Mac or even a Lindsey tour.

Why couldn't she just tour this summer by her self? That sounds like a better plan!

I have a feeling you'll end up at atleast 4 shows

Although I noticed, at one point in Celine's show she seems to have this big white staircase in the background. Think they'd let Stevie use it to recreate the I Can't Wait video?!

She would kill herself if she tried to climb those steps now.

I'm curious as to what the price would be. I'm thinking the best tickets will be $80+ As far as the tour being a flop, as long as there are people willing to pay those ticket prices (and who are we kidding...we'll go see her because we love her music...even if it means sitting through Henley first), i'm sure she'll do well. And I'm not holding my breathe on the Lindsey tour...

My thoughts exactly, she would need two assistants which would probably ruin the effect.

I hope it isn't true, too. IMO Don Henley solo songs kinda suck. There are a few that are aight...but Dirty Laundry? All She Wants to Do is Dance? Sunset Grill...? Bad.

OK, you got me there. Probably 3 of my least fave Henley songs. Ever. They are atrocious. They did DL and ASWTDID during the last Eagles tour - awful! I remember thinking "WTF? These are the solo "hits" he decides to do?" Anyway, they still sound great together, but the show was boring as hell, compared to Mac.

I can't be bothered reading the whole thread but am I to assume Stevie really is doing these Vegas shows?

Nope. Nothing's confirmed yet. But as usual we all have to debate/discuss any news at all, truth or rumour!

EDIT: Oops - just went to the other thread & Riss has heard that the Vegas shows are happening. Nothing confirmed by Nicksfix as of now, though.

Clearly they're looking out for their best interests as well. She has yet to deliver on her end of the contract so maybe it is a quick way for them to get some of the money back that they lost to her when she got her advance for the albums.

Stevie auditioned percussionists last week. I assume once the band is confirmed we'll start seeing official word & on-sale dates.

If Stevie needs a percussionist, I nominate Daniel de los Reyes. *drools*

That has got to be the squarest jaw I've ever seen in my quarter-century on this Earth. Puts Courtney Thorne Smith to shame.

If Stevie didn't bed him while he was on the Millennium Tour with her, I'll be VERY disappointed in her!

Unless, of course, he plays for MY team... which is even better yet! ;)

He actually started Bette's tour and then Taku took over for him so i'm guessing if he is available, it'll be Lenny.
