Almost forgot - did anyone else catch The Simpsons last week? It was the widely advertised "gay" episode. As was rumoured, Marge's sister Patty is a lesbian. The show itself was great, one of the better episodes ever, IMO.

I think an appropriate "D'oh" is in order.
I missed it  I had read that a character (not smithers) would "come out" and then I read an article in Entertainment Weekly that broke down who it could be and the odds that it was that character lol - so I made a mental note to watch...damn mental notes...they're no good

Haha, they don't work for me either cuz I'm.... mental ;-) I try to put shows into my yahoo schedule if I really want to remember to watch them. I was out Sunday anyway rocking with Hypercane, my favorite local rockers.
It was a decent episode as far as this season goes. The show has lost some steam in the last couple years, imho. And I'd have rather seen Lenny & Carl come out instead of Patty... ;)

I just didn't think it was all that great to be real honest. I did like the end though. I got a kick out of that. The show's been more than a little uneven this year. The health care episode was great but the rest this season--not so much.

**** i missed it! I so wanted to see it, I havent seen 1 epp from this season at all. :(
I felt like it moved really fast. I dunno I love the Simpsons but it's not as good as it used to be. I have the first couple of seasons on DVD and the new episodes don't hold a candle.

A friend of mine sent me a text message on my phone: "Queerly beloved, we are gathered here today....HA HA HA!"
Yep, it was a good one!

I definitely thought it was one of the funniest episodes in a very long time... and maybe on par with some of the series' best episodes.
It felt anti-climactic for Patty to come out though. I mean, it's not like it's been a well-kept secret (Upon witnessing Homer running through the kitchen, naked, in an earlier episode: "Well, there goes the last lingering shred of my heterosexuality")... so I was expecting a surprise. Like Lenny or Carl (or both).
Either way, it was still a hoot.
Favorite scene....
Marge: "I don't care if they both have a hoo-hoo or a haa-haa."
Nelson: "HA-HA!"
