Thanks to our very own Paula and the Loretta Perry Nicks, the question has been answered over on the Nicksfix.

The verdict? Sara.

Lori,
Thanks for taking the time to do this Q&A. Here are my questions: Will you ever tour with Stevie again?

Rumour has it that Jessica is interested in getting into the music business how do you feel about that?

Random question: What is Stevie saying during the musical breaks in the album version of Seven Wonders? The fans have been dying to know, and a debate is on between: never, Sara, ever, Tara or pharoah. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lori's answer:

Dear Paula, First of all... rumours are so interesting, aren’t they? Jessica is 13... she did sing on the song “Say You Will,” but as far as her getting into the music business, per se... we’ll see what happens AFTER she finishes school (and I hope that includes college)!! And I do believe that what Stevie is singing during the breaks in “Seven Wonders” is..... “Sara.”

Hurrrray!!!!!! I can finally sleep at night thank you Lori! No, seriously, it is cool to finally put that debate to rest. I have had too many converstations with other fans about that...it's kind of sick really!!

Yes I think we have had this conversation many a times. You once made me get Tango out and listen to it over and over trying to get me to agree with you. I can't remeber who was right...if either of us!

Ahhh...La Nicks being random. I haven't a clue what "Sara" has to do with that song but if she's saying Sara there, i'm going deaf. I don't hear any S sound

I'll believe it when miss nicks says it....

To which Stevie would reply, "Seven Wonders? Tango In The Night? What is this you speak of??"

I'd put money on the fact that most of the Tango sessions have been compartmentalized somewhere out in the back of her mind < /lame Stevie song interjection>. She probably doesn't remember much of it, partially because of the fact she wasn't always there and also because she doesn't want to. Just my opinion.

And another thing, WHY did people keep asking the same questions??? I know there was no way to see what others had asked, but come on, no one thought that other people were going to ask "when will you tour again" or "what's it like living with Stevie" etc?

I'd ask her, so what do you do all day now? What are your hobbies? Stuff like that...

I'd ask her, so what do you do all day now? What are your hobbies? Stuff like that...

Or I'd ask her about the process of making an album with Stevie and how the backing vocals are arranged on the album VS the tour. Oh wait...I already did but the same question keeps getting answered. Perhaps she's going to answer all of them and she's just going through the first questions she received?

Jen...what's it like being Stevie's sister in law?!?! Does she cook you a big steak with salad and a low carb dressing?

What's stopping you, out of curiousity? Go ahead. Ask her! :wavey:

To be honest, I couldn't really think of much to ask, but I felt I had to ask something about Lori's life/career/etc. rather than just ask about Stevie. Of course I knew others would ask about touring, but since the ?'s are supposedly picked randomly, I had no clue that John would send her the same questions several times over.

BTW - I assume Lori could have just asked Stevie what she's saying in SW, as opposed to listening to it & attempting to figure it out herself. That being said, I do agree that Stevie might not remember what the hell she said. :D
I can picture it now - Lori working away on the computer, Stevie in the other room writing away like Bob Dylan

Lori (yelling): "OK, here's the question: What are you saying in SW?" Stevie: "What kind of question is that? How the hell am I supposed to remember? It was almost 20 years ago!"
Lori "Well, the choices are Sara, Tara, pharoah, never, ever. Pick one."
Stevie: "Pharoah? WTF? Where did they get that from? OK, tell them it's Sara, I guess."

I also think that maybe it shouldn't have been a multiple choice thing. I think she probably picked "Sara" because of the Stevie connection with that name, but that's probably just because I don't think it's Sara. ;)

I had always thought it was Tara.. I didn't even realize it was up for discussion til I stumbled across this fabulous place. So all this talk about it prompted me to get out my TITN CD (which, holy f*ck! is a great CD!!!) and listen to it at top volume.. and I'm STILL convinced it's Tara. without a doubt what Stevie actually says in "Seven Wonders" (I still say my previous answer is accurate), I will use the following image in her honor:

For some reason, I've often wondered how much the girls knew about Stevie's cocaine/klonopin addiction and how they experienced it. However, I don't think that's the kind of question they'd answer.

I think it's Pharaoh, too. I said this before but I think she's singing about the Seven Wonders (of the world). Sara is not one of the seven wonders, but a Pharaoh could be, as the paramids of Egypt are.
