Singer Stevie Nicks was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 26th 1948. She met Lindsay Buckingham and the two released an album under the name Buckingham-Nicks. It flopped. In 1973 they were asked to join Fleetwood Mac by Mick Fleetwood. The Pokémon character Jynx was modeled after Stevie Nicks.

i did hear something which, at the time, seemed fairly concrete concerning this stevie/jynx thing.... i can't remember where it was or what it was... but it seemed to indicate that jynx really was modeled after her.... if that makes any sense at all. for the last 2 years or so i have been going around believing it.

edit: actually now i remember- i had heard it was modeled after her and told a friend about it- i then went to several comic book/ collector shops looking for a jynx action figure to show my friend... i got to chatting with the comic store guy about it and he told me that it really was modeled after her... and i figure those guys know their anime/ role playing/ comic crap... so i believed him

i don't remember exactly what they are- but jynx's powers are also very stevie-like... i think one of them had to do with twirling... oh and jynx's magic power is that she's psychic... can't remember- my little brother doesn't talk about them anymore - anyone know anything about pokemon powers?

anime (Let's say the anime I watch, Excluding Inu Yasha, is mostly "R" rated...Kinda "X Files meets Buffy" w/some nudity & foul language) I have never heard that Jynx was modeled after Tango/OSOTM era Stevie...But it may be possible since the Japanese have long based characters after certain American "Icons", So who knows :shrug:

Love the Pokemon card though, It does have a certain Stevie-ness to it :nod:
