Whether it be a pic of you with your head in the toilet after a long night, or a high school picture disaster, or a fashion don't.
Go ahead. Post them. I dare you.
Here are two I am not proud of. First was around 1989 (best friend cut out to protect her identity  ) Nice boots, losers!
Second was 1991/92, junior year school photo (before I discovered tweezers, obviously.) Hi hair! :wavey:
Man, I thought I was the sh*t! :o
Hope you all get your laugh for the day.

OK, I'll bite. Here's me on the last day of 8th grade-- 1983-- all decked out in my flip hairdo, large glasses, and Fleetwood Mac tee shirt (which i only broke out on special occasions- I didn't wanna wash it too much!) That shirt was not considered cool in the least, BUT it was the last day of school, so I didn't care.
The picture next to that is of my room at that time-- after your eyes adjust to the blinding yellow walls, you may notice the little pics of FM all around my mirror (along w/ U2 and led Zeppelin.)
I have come to the conclusion that I have WAY too many embarrassing photos of myself. This album is one big laugh.

Oh. My. Gosh. Paula!!!! See, but it was the early 90s so it was totally cool. I hate to see what everyone will say 10 years from now about what we're presently wearing and doing to our hair

The walls are no longer yellow LOL. Although that's my parents' house so I have no control over that!
Right now in my house I'd say the kitchen, basement and a bit of the LR and master bedroom have FM stuff in it. Actually that pic of my room was from 1986, not 1983, I just checked the date.

Wow - from the stuff you posted in the 'Apology' thread, I was expecting ... well ... Dolly Parton. ;) :xoxo:
And I had the same shirt -- it's the one with the baseball & their signatures on the back, right? (I never understood the baseball reference, especially for the Mirage album, but anyway...) Except I wore mine ALL THE TIME. That is, until the Wild Heart tour, when it was retired for my deep maroon 'Don't Blame It On Me...' shirt with hot pink lettering.
And here's one of me from 1989. I'm the guy behind the embarrasingly huge glasses.

Too funny! I will have to dig up some old pictures and find something good. I know I've got alot of them from the party days :D Funny, I was thinking about starting a drunk ledgie picture thread a few days ago. Embarrassing pics is a little more appropriate though!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to have those glasses, only much, MUCH thicker and MUCH uglier.
We were on welfare when I was little (up until I was about twelve) and when I would go to get new glasses and an eye exam, Mass Health would pay for the glasses. Unfortunately, you couldn't pick the glasses you wanted, they hauled out a tray of about ten pairs that you got to pick from. I called them "Welfare Goggles." HUGE frames and the lenses were as thick as coke bottles. They weighed my ****ing face down and if you were to look at my old school portraits, my head looks like it's about to just drop down at any moment under the weight.
Thank the stars for Alain Mikli. I don't know what I'd do without those glasses.

I wouldn't either. This thread would be 100 pages long if I posted all of my embarrassing photos. ie, almost every photo taken of me is pretty embarrassing. I will do a "best of crappy weird smile bad shirt ugly hair" school pics, though. It really is a kind of series. :D
By the way, I kinda thought everyone's pics were pretty cute  Especially, well, compared. Paula? I love the big mane o' hair pic, i think it's cute. Everyone else looks pretty cute, too.

Okay, these first ones are what I call "bad shirt, bad hair". In addition, the second one also boasts "weird mouth". I wish I could've found my kindergarten and first grade ones, known respectively as "penny in the lip" and "I braided my hair myself that morning." Oh, also? In the second one, I had skipped a night washing my hair (I never frickin remembered it was picture day) and the picture lady, while she was combing my bangs, said "oh, 'bout time to wash your hair!" I swear to god, I hate picture people. They said something rude to me on no less than 4 occasions throughout the years.

This one is notable because i actually had to have two pictures taken of me, due to the nature of my smile in the first one. This was also the year the picture lady called me "Wonder Woman" cause of my shirt. Of course she called all the other girls "peaches" and "bubbles" Note, also, the lopsided dorky hair. Sorry so big, resizing is a pain in the a. though i did try.

Didn't you hate those front/side pictures they always took in school? Why, oh why, did they take such pictures? I have one from fifth grade that just makes me cringe. It is so fugly that I want to tear it to shreads. Of course, my mom has millions of copies of it and since I was a dork kid I passed it out to all my friends in fifth grade and they still have copies of it. Then I have one from fourth grade that I pasted to a little metal ornament I made for Christmas and my mom still hangs it on the tree so everyone can make fun of me. Even my seven-year old niece makes fun of it and tells me I look like a boy.

Hacked? You mean the really bad job in front? (the rest was still long, barf.)
Like I told Strand earlier, I never visited a hair place when i was little, cause it cost money. Therefore, my mom cut my hair with her art scissors, and rarely, I might add. I think I just cut my own hair after about 8th grade. I wanted bangs and side feathery thingies, but that was not only beyond the scope of my mom's skill, but beyond my skill as a stylist as well. Also, I wasn't allowed to use hairspray. My childhood sucked.

OMG! That is so funny! :sorry: My hair was pretty bad too though. Mine was really long, but I would never brush it and I would never let anyone else brush it or else I would pitch a fit screaming and crying because it hurt my head to brush. So I would have huge snarrels on the back of my head! LOL! My mom was so embarassed and would always make me brush my hair before church because she was afraid all the people behind us would be looking at my ratty hair. Plus when I was younger, I would never curl my bangs or do anything with them- they were just cut straight (and, yes, I think my mom cut them too!) like she put a bowl on my head. God, it was awful.

OK I cannot believe I am going to post some of these! Most of them are from HIGH school, when I was convinced it REALLY WAS 1969. THe first one (which is by far the most embarrassing) was just from this Sept. On a childless weekend visting some friends in Indiana. We went to some hole in the wall bar, and after hearing one too many old hillbilly country songs, I had to do a crazy dance. And of course my friend took advantage of my state of mind and captured this moment on my own camera. I think the beer signs above each shoulder are quite fitting! Whats most embarrassing is these aren't that old!!

And of course my friend took advantage of my state of mind and captured this moment on my own camera. I think the beer signs above each shoulder are quite fitting! Whats most embarrassing is these aren't that old!!

Looking at all these pictures made me go through my photo albums. I've been in the middle of posting this for an hour or so. This is the funniest one I could find (there were some that were just plain ugly), but I think the funniest part is my memories of this night. It was the night before the race, and we were partying it up. I was pretty well lit when this was taken. I guess I was around 19 or 20.

okay, and to be fair, I made dorky face on purpose in this one, but it is still very dorky. Member that face you used to make with the hand gesture that signified "that is so dorky, duh!"? or "I'm a retard, duh!"? While slapping your hand against your chest?
Hope you've all enjoyed my series, and believe me, there are many, many more dorky, absolutely terrible photos. So don't be shy to post your really dorky ones!

LOL. Glad you liked them. I still can't believe I posted that one! I could make a whole thread of embarrassing/crazy looking pictures of myself. My friends and I used to make a point in taking only crazy messed up looking pictures of each other. So I have quite a collection. I guess we lived in Lodi for a brief period when I was about 1.5. too. :D :wavey: I'm glad my fam. lived there, because that fastpitch tournement on my shirt was held there, and I probably wouldn't have gotten to go, otherwise... :p

Um, yeah, hacked. You poor dear. I didn't go to hair places either for the same reason. But my Mom wouldn't have taken the risk to try to "feather" my hair. When I was in 9th grade we started going to my Mom's cousin's wife because she was a professional and only charged us $5. However, when I asked her to give me long layers I wound up with a short mullet, a la Joan Jett, except my hair is curly so it wasn't cool -- at all. For years I told her I wanted to grow it out and she kept hacking it so when I got a job and my own money I started going to a real pro and viola my hair grew out. I was angry with my cousin for a long time because she made me think my hair just didn't grow! You tell someone every time you are growing it out and it never gets longer? Ugh. Then, one time she told me my hair looked great. I just smiled and said, "thank you" instead of saying "cuz I don't go to you anymore". Can you see by the wordiness of this post what a trauma this was? Especially in junior high, you feel effing dorky enough. Oh yeah AND I had braces.
