IMO, she basically sold those kids. But to be with her probably would be for them better than to be anywhere around Jackson family so...

I betcha she didnt fight him because she didnt have the $$$ to keep up in Family Law court. Apparently, MJ has tried every dirty trick in the book to keep those kids away from her and if you went thru all 8 pages of her attorney's deposition, you'd see that he's basically stopped at nothing to KEEP them.
and HELL YES those kids are better off with HER! thats a no-brainer!
ps: when MJ named his son Prince, the Artist Everyone Knows as Prince changed his name to The Artist Formerly Known as Prince....talk about a soap opera

Is this trial going to be televised on Court TV? I am assuming no ...but I hope it is! I am anxious to hear and see the "evidence" for myself. I have many unanswered questions about this whole case and would prefer to be able to hear it with my own ears and come to my own conclusions. The fact that the three (or was it two?) incidents of alleged abuse happened AFTER the Bashir documentary was filmed does have me curious. Michael was close to the boy for three years and the boy admits that no abuse occurred until after they filmed that documentary. Alot of attention was focused on Michael's relationship with the boy at that time and it seems sort of an odd time for Michael to suddenly start molesting him. I am sure I will be flamed but I want to see the facts. The papers on the Smoking Gun are the boys allegations....As a victim of a childhood abuse myself, the most important thing for me is the protection of the child. I work for an attorney and there are things about this case that have me confused. Sneddon obviously has allowed personal feelings to get involved and he is hardly impartial at this point. Three million dollars bail for a child molestation case? Repeat offenders charged with MURDER are given less bail. Michael is weird, controlling, delusional perhaps but I am not going to decide he is a chld molester until I hear ALL the facts of the case. In America that is how it is supposed to work, no? I am anxious to hear what the boy, now a man, from the 93 case has to say. His testimony could definately influence my feelings.
Again, the most important here is the child.
Flame away~

no flame from me....but I do want to point out that thoThe Smoking Gun tends to focus on tabloid type stuff, they publish all the court documents and everything. I take them serious. (I am a Paralegal too-among other things!!) FYI, you may already know that I have made it my personal mission to try and protect California's children by amending a particular law to require supervised visits between sexual molesters and children. Protecting children is a HUGE issue for me as well. I dont post this stuff lightly.
ps: another issue is that MJ has had most of his documents sealed so it is quite a bit harder to get both sides of the story. Also, the reason the bail is so high is because MJ has $$$$$$$$$$$ and could easily leave the country and live elsewhere. He may be weird but he's not Stupid. I think he has his attorneys working on many angles.

I'm sure I'm reading this wrong. Are you trying to get a law amended so that molesters have the RIGHT to supervised visits with children? Why does a child have to have a visit at all with a molester?
I must be reading this wrong. You must be trying to amend the law so that supervision is required. But I'm still confused as to why a molester would be allowed to visit with a child.

She's trying to amend a law that gives abusers the right to continue seeing their kids. ;)

I was 99.9% sure. LOL
I don't think you should even be allowed to SEE the kid you molested. Sorry, Charlie, hands off!

To Clarify:
California Family Code 3030 currently requires supervised visitation with your children if you have been convicted of certain sex related crimes (where the victim was a minor) UNLESS you can show the court you are no longer a risk. This is easily done IF you have enough money. My position is that this is unacceptable. If you have been convicted of a sex related crime with minors, you should NEVER NEVER NEVER have unsupervised visitation. I would prefer NO visitation at ALL however the Court's position is that a child needs contact with both their parents even if one of them is an abuser. Go figure.
I have contacted my State Representative several times and get nowhere with him. I will now have to align myself with some child advocacy groups and get a fire lit to get the momentum going....I had an online petition at one time, but sadly it got a paltry number of signatures and I would need hundreds of thousands of Californians to sign in order to get this on the ballot....

Did anyone see SNL this week? On Weekend Update, they said that the judge in MJ's trial had selected 250 people for the jury pool, and MJ selected a dozen people for the kiddie pool.
