GREAT ARTICLE!

Herald Sun (http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5478,12077651%255E10431,00.html)

"Most commonly pegged as the American answer to The Darkness, Scissor Sisters are probably more accurately described as the IVF baby of Elton John and Stevie Nicks."

I can't get over their cover of Take Me Out. My word, how could they?

I hadn't heard they covered that. But, the Pink Floyd people are still ready to string them up for Comfortably Numb, so looks like FF will just have to get in line. :D

(And, by the way, CN is the only song on their album I *don't* like. And I was gonna get their remix album, but it has something like 6 remixes of it, so I think I'll pass...)

Also, SNL will be re-playing the SS appearance this Saturday the 29th (tomorrow).

And, it's really good no matter what Amber says! ( :xoxo: :wavey: )

They certainly did cover it and it's awful. It's akin to Sir Mix-A-Lot covering Beautiful Child.

I tried to like them after Goldie posted about how good they were, but I just can't get into their album at all. I could go to any random club in NYC and hear the same thing, only less tacky. Their new music video repulsed me and that's a hard feat to accomplish.

Same with The Killers. They're another band I wanted to like a lot, but then when I bought the album, I wanted to take it back. I'm still in shock that I fell in love with Franz after they were recommended to me.

But, even if we can't agree on the Scissor Sisters, we still have our love for Van Lear Rose to fall back on. :xoxo:
