Oh Pattie, I'm so sorry. I don't miss that weather one bit. I was talking to my mom today up in Boston and she was telling me how there is a record 40 inches of snow on the ground in Plymouth and the harbor is frozen. She is a teacher and school was cancelled Mon, Tues. and today. I haven't heard about tomorrow yet. She thinks they might be in school until July!! Maybe you will luck out and the temps will go about freezing soon and melt some of that snow!! Good luck, take care and stay warm!!

I am sure that you don't miss this mess! I know that eastern Mass and the Cape really got hit with the storm. I know that in places like Fall River and Bourne they have not had school all week. I really think that they will be going to school in July. We still have February to finish yet.
Well, it is hopefully going to be around 29 or 30 degrees this weekend so that is not too bad and it looks like we are not going to get that storm next week.

I went to wipe my rear window of my car yesterday so the sticker is in view, lest I get a ticket, they're relentless about that here. It is completely covered in snow now. I am going to visit with family tonight and taking the commuter rail. If I were to dig the car out there would be nowhere to put the snow. You can be fined for throwing it in the street. I was thinking maybe of asking my brother or dad to come up with a pickup to shovel the snow into. Very few cars have been dug out on that street. I think we got a little less than 30 inches all together here which makes for gigantic snowbanks. I wish it were all up north where they really want it for skiing and snowmobiling.

That is Holy Ghost Church located in the Federal Hill area of Providence. The last picture with the star shaped lights is also from Federal Hill.

Here is a bit of info that I found on both.

Federal Hill
The area, which stretches along Federal Street and its adjacent blocks between Broadway and Atwells Avenue, has a neighborhood spirit that is alive and welcoming, with an old-world flair. Enter through the Arch, whose most striking architectural detail is a pine cone, source of pignoli nuts. Savor the nuances of Italian (and other ethnic foods) culture and cuisine while visiting authentic bakeries, shops, groceries and restaurants. Take part in traditions which make Providence a rich tapestry of urban life during special festivals and events.

Holy Ghost Church
Its massive stone walls have withstood years of New England weather, seen countless marriages and funerals, and have even enjoyed some limited fame. Providence resident and master of the macabre H.P. Lovecraft wrote one of his stories about fictional events surrounding and inspired by the site of the commanding steeple as seen from East Side
