I'm not crazy about burgers, but I like it anyway. And the best in Peru is BEMBOS Burger, a peruvian rest who always create new combinations. It's very good!

BTW, did you like it KFC in the early 80s? I think it was better, or maybe because I was a teen, I don't know. But now I don't like it at all. I think in the 80s it tasted better, and pieces were bigger, I'm sure.

Well, I go to Mc Donalds, BK, the usual stuff. I don't go much because I don't like burgers that much. There is a Popeye's almost down the street from me so I do go there quite a bit. I don't like KFC that much. I heard that it was better in the early 70s from what my Dad tells me.

I like Mexican pizzas from Taco Bell and I like the personal pan pizzas from Pizza Hut.

When I was very little we used to have a place called A&W in Cranston and we went there all the time. There is still one in Smithfield, RI but I rarely get up there. It was very cool. It reminded me of Arnolds on Happy Days but I don't know what it looked like inside. We would park the car and a waitress would walk up take the order and put a tray on your driver side window.
They were famous for Root Beer and we would get a big mug and order food like, a hot dog, hamburger, fries, etc. I am wondering if anyone has a type of place like this in their area? It is now closed for the winter.

There's an A&W in a town near to me. They have the root beer floats and I think they're big on hot dogs. I've never been, but I think that's what I remember someone saying about them. It's not the drive-in type thing, though; I think it's connected to a gas station. Also, there used to be one in the mall years ago, but it's been closed for a while now.

BTW, my favorite fast food: CHICK-FIL-A!!! followed by Sonic in a close second place.

Yeah, they did have one a mall over here for a while but it just wasn't the same. It is not there anymore.

We don't have a Chick-Fil-A or a Sonic here. I have seen a few in my travels but I never got a chance to try them.

The only fast food I really eat, is Taco Bell. I love it. Cheesy gordita crunch with beans instead of meat...the best! I am also obsessed with the quesidilla sauce. I get it as a side to dip my bean burritos in :p

Cherry Cheesecake Blizzards.

We could be here all NIGHT with my list. LOL

Long John Silvers (My #1 fave)
McDonalds (Quarter Pounder w/Cheese or Filet-O-Fish only...2nd fave)
Chick-Fil-A (best chicken sandwich EVER!)
Whataburger
Sonic (Bacon chedder toaster sandwich only really)
Dairy Queen (the closest one is pretty far away tho. I love the steak finger basket and ice cream...mmmmmm)
Arbys
Taco Casa (even tho it's WAY too greasy :( )
Dominos (cheese pizza only)

They are building a combo of A&W and Long John Silvers (YAY!) pretty close to my house, so I'm stoked about that. I don't care for A&W tho. There used to be one in the mall, but it shut down.

Places I don't care for:

Wendys (except the fries and shakes...other than that..YUCKO!)
Taco Bell (I'm up and down about this place. I keep vowing never to go back, then I try it again and they are okay, then the next time, bleck..LOL)
Captain D's (Just ew.)
A&W (I don't like root beer and their hamburgers suck.)
Burger King (Their hamburgers suck. The chicken is okay tho.)

I liked JITB the best, till they thickened their fries. But i'll eat just about anywhere. I looooove burgers (haven't had one in 2 weeks, though!) and sometimes i get the hots for Taco Bell, but really, there's a good mexi place by my house so I usually go there if i want mexican food, which is basically all the time. Not that i eat it all the time, I just want it all the time... Subway is OK, i appreciate their menu choices, but i like the sandwiches i make much better... :p

Boston Market is one of my favorite resturants period, but I don't really consider it fast food, but it is close. My favorite Burger Type Places are in order:

McDonalds- Love everything there, don't care if it kills me

Burger King- French Fries are better then McDonald's and so are some burgers. I like the spiciness in their nuggets.

Wendys- Can't STAND their burgers, but this is the chicken place

Arbys- I like the beef and chedar sandwhiches

As for KFC I like the popcorn chicken and thats it.

Maybe because I don't like the idea of innocent animals being shot up with so many hormones that they grow so abnormally to the point where their legs don't grow with the rest of their body. Because I don't like live, innocent animals being thrown into vats of boiling oil. Because I don't like them having their legs broken and having their beaks cut off while they're alive.

Yes, and I see a difference between a company that buys from suppliers who kill their livestock in non-violent manners and a company that buys from suppliers who torture their animals. If you don't, fine.

Anyone who eats KFC or buys Yum! products might as well just go out and torture their own chicken. Same goes for IAMS pet food.

I'm not going to sit here and say that I don't somehow support the abuse of animals by some company because we all do. But if I know whats going on, I'm going to stop myself from buying their food or products and I'm going to try to educate and have them get to know their meat. They live and breathe just like us and our pets. You wouldn't throw your dog into a vat of oil while it was alive, don't do it to your food. If you're going to eat it, make sure it didn't suffer. But I get sad and start to cry just by going into pet shops, so what do I know?

I was at a place Thurs. for lunch (to forget the coronation  ) - but I opted away from the rangoons and instead got the less caloric but equally tasty cucumber salad!!!!

you could eat meat that hasn't been tortured, but no. :wavey:

Exactly. I could go buy real leather pants and they'd last longer, but I don't. I could eat real bacon, but I don't. Just think of these poor creatures and the horrors they go through.

I guess I can take comfort in knowing that I have a heart when it comes to animals, then.

Did you watch the videos? View the pictures? Read what they do to the poor creatures?

well no, I just looked at the front page for like 10 seconds. OK maybe I din't really do much looking.

Once again, it is line drawing. I have seen animals slaughtered and have killed more than one out of mercy (which is the hardest thing to do IMO) - so I just am a little more hardened.

Interestingly, I would be a veg. but plants are alive as well

well I'd never wear leather rpants or eat bacon but for other reasons. I don't see how eating or wearing something is bad, when you're not the one doing the torturing. It's already been killed, why not eat it.

:xoxo: thanks anyway. I actually don't care for chinese food chicken. (though I have eaten it and enjoyed it). Cucumber salad rocks. But mostly i'll just stick to my occasional rangoon, the best food ever invented. :D

Yes, I do. If I see one in my apartment, I scoop it up and put it back outside. Why kill it? It did nothing to me.

Because if YOU didn't buy it, and not care, maybe they wouldn't torture it. It's called making choices in your consumption that are responsible and humane. Your money talks, it tells companies "it's okay to torture animals, cause i will buy it anyway".

Why I would spend money to support the very people who are torturing those animals? It's called consumption.

Well, they are alive  It is still killing a living thing - assuming the plant must be killed when harvested. AND - you seem to care enough for them when they are ripped out of the soild for logging, etc.

I think I mentioned this awhile back, but I had a friend that refused to eat ANYTHING unless it had fallen naturally from a tree. AND - he was not thin

Only the last link worked, and I guess I feel slightly more sorry for the chickens, but it's so hard for me to see the connections between live slaughtered feathery chicken and the crispy deep fried stuff served at KFC. If they served the chicken like the pictures on that site, I'd definitley refrain from buying it.

Ridiculous argument. Just appallingly ridiculous. To equate plucking a head of lettuce to killing an animal is absurd and you know it.

I can "see" feeling bad for a chicken, but seriously I go out of my way to kill most bugs. If I see a fly somewhere in my house, I could spend an hour trying to kill the danm thing. Bugs just shouldn't be allowed to live. And Mosquitos are worse. They carry diseases, there's no way I can see a mosquito and let it live.

be heartless but once I slowed down to 2 MPH (If even that fast) cause a possum was crossing the road and I didnt want splat the lil' sucker so Billy Bob, John Bob & Bob Bob & family would come to scrape him up for their potluck "Roadkill stew", So what did this marsup-a-tard do, He walked right into the hubcap covers on the car and bounced off and went back into the direction it came from...I guess it wanted a closer look at the covers so it could decide if they were reasonable and buy some for it's own '96 Nissan Sentra, Who knows

Kinda cool, But I hear a large pack of coyotes yelping at this moment...Must be in the same pasture where the Buffalo are.

Interestingly, almost all meat industries will fight to keep such footage from the public eye. They want everyone to think the meat just appears in the grocery store - again, having been there and seen it happen - it most certainly does not. The animal must be killed and all methods of that are inhumane to some.

well, there is a paralell. I get that an animal can feel things as opposed to a plant, though some assert plants can feel as well. My point was it is all life and it takes a subjective line to draw distinctions. But, people rarely admit that and think well, if I eat fish, that is more humane than meat - then there are the veg. are better than all meat, then there is my crazy friend I mentioned earlier. It is all subjective. That is what I was trying to say.

try going to a beef packing plant, The like that are located throughout western Kansas (Everyone in my family had worked in those places...But me!!! My opinion on these beef packing plants is they are nuthing but ______ ________ ________!!!!!!)

Before you can be hired they hook a EKG (To monitor pulse rate, etc) to you and let you witness a calf being "humanely put down" to see how you would react...If you react normally they'll hire you in a heartbeat, If you cant handle it there's not job for ya in these companies (They do not want to hire someone who may have a PSYCHOTIC reaction to watching multiple deaths on the killing floor and go home and murder their loved ones.)

Aww, so that's what's behind your scrappy exterior ya big softie :). I definitely identify with that, I hate pet stores. I want to take care of all of the little puppies myself when I see them.
