What concerts that are coming to you area have peaked your interest?

Keith Urban-March 10 Ford Center (Deb is a fan club member...A definite must-attend show for her & myself)

Robert Plant-March 13 Coca-Cola Event Center (Won't be no parking that evening with the Josh Groban show at the Ford Center a block up the road...I guess Bricktown/Downtown never learned from the lack of parking disaster of having Phil Collins at the Ford & Willie Nelson/Bob Dylan at the Bricktown Ballpark on the same night)

Was hoping for U2 in OKC but U2 has not scheduled many US dates (Which have been announced today) on the first part of the 2005 World Tour (There will be more dates in the US in late summer/Early fall)

I am SO going to this show! No Houston Rodeo for me. :distress: I'm a FC member too, and hey everyone, it only costs 20 bucks! Granted, you don't really get anything for it, sans a heads up on tickets, but 20 bucks is better than 60 or 80.

Not sure if I'm going to be there alone or if my mom would like to come. Either way, I'll be there!

Don't know of anyone else coming...just waiting for Lindsey album/tour news.....very impatiently. LOL

U2 as well, but they are not as of now coming to Atlanta. I must say, the June 29: Cardiff, Wales (Millennium Stadium) show seems enticing as I LOVE that town!!!!!

Deb has a follow-up appt with her Oncologist (Cancer is long gone, She will be cancer free for a year this June...She is planning to get a tattoo of the KU "Monkey Guitar" logo) that afternoon, So We wont have to waste a trip to OKC (But we will be able to write that medical related trip off on next year's taxes  )

I am hopefully going to see The Eagles on March 19, 2005 at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence. I don't have a ticket yet but I hope to score a good seat on Ticketmaster if I am lucky. ;)

Um, seriously? NONE. I just got an entire new job added to my duties at work- I'm now buying concert tickets for our company for the entire central region, for all of our artists, and I'm about to kick some ass out of frustration.

The two shows I WAS really excited about before I started this crap were Autolux/Secret Machines at the Metro and Modest Mouse at the Congress Theatre.

I am pretty excited about U2, though.

ass-tarts did with the Myriad (Sits directly across from the Ford Center...Comparing the Myriad to the Ford Center is like comparing a Ford Pinto to a Shelby Mustang GT-350), Renamed it the "Cox Business Resource Center"...Sorry, It will ALWAYS be the Myriad in my eyes.

My mom just had another scare, she had a follow-up to her mammogram today. Fortunately she is fine! The lump they saw is a calcium deposit or something and hasn't grown in 4 years so it can't be cancer. I was worried, she had a mastectomy last year and I would hate for her to have to go through that again.

I'm so glad Deb is cancer free too :)

I can't wait to see Petty this summer. And Blondie will most likely be touring in the States again, so I'll probably see them a couple of times. I hope Lindsey releases an album and tours to support it. I want to see Franz Ferdinand this summer, too, naturally.

Petty is awesome. I would like to see Blondie too, I've never see them! Keep me in the loop when tickets go on sale. I don't get out to see as much live music as I would like to! I want to see Tori this time around too.

Here are some of the artists from previous years. Many I wanted to see, but couldn't because of conflicting schedules (Modest Mouse, String Cheese Incident, etc.)
This festival is for the real music lover. You should check it out. My friends are on the cover of the 2003 Bonaroo DVD. Of course I wasn't standing with them!

I watched David Byrne, Dave Matthews, and Bob Dylan among others from atop my RV. It's the best time you'll ever have. And no, it's not anything like Woodstock '99 (I was there). Every kind of musician is there, and ain't no way you can't enjoy yourself.

I have always wanted to go to Bonnaroo! I only live like three hours from there. I haven't been because no one will go with me, and I just haven't had the balls to go by myself. It is more of a "group" event. It is extremely sad that I haven't been, seeing how bad I want to go. My friends should take pity on me and go once. :( Have you been before, Sunmaiden? I would love to hear about it! :)

Now to answer the question: I'm going to see Robert Earl Keen with some friends in Feb. That should be pretty fun, but that is the only show I'm going to as of now. No one is really coming relatively close to here that I really want to see, and I have been checking on it. I'm hoping this will change soon. I haven't seen any good, live music in months. It is about to kill me!

This is basically all of who i'd want to see, too. And if stevie tours, of course. And if Heart ever comes again - missed it recently. :distress: I'm kinda sad i missed Linda R., I might've wanted to see that. And, if Ani D' comes again, her last show was fricking awesome, I would see that again...

You think so soon again? How do you know? Hopefully for you, they'll be at different times. I would love to see a Franz show, but i won't be stalking them...thus possibly affording me money for more than one show! :D
First would be whichever member of Mac tours, then Blondie, then Petty. I mean, if I had to rank and choose...

MOTLEY CRUE. The Crue was my favorite concert when I was a kid so I hope they're going to kick ass this time around. I have a 12th row ticket so I'm excited. I'll try to upgrade if I can but I'm pretty happy that I found 12th row.

from the reports I have read is that the new Motley stageshow will dwarf their "Dr.Feelgood" stage, Which from the past reports was amazing...So maybe this upcoming tour will be worth a peek afterall (I saw Motley Crue in 1987 with Whitesnake as the opener on the "Girls, Girls, Girls" tour) since they are playing OKC in May (Near the date of my birthday too)

Gonna see Mark Knopfler at the Royal Albert Hall in late May. Should be awesome...!

At some point this year or next year, David Gilmour and Roger Waters are going to be touring (before any Floyd fan has a heart attack, no, not together, unfortunately). I plan on going to at least one RW show, and to EVERY Gilmour show in the UK.

I thought about driving to Pittsburgh to see Sarah again, but the person I want (to go with me,that is :xoxo: ) Lives in Columbus and I don't know if he'll travel that far! Plus I really want first row tickets.
I also really want to see Heart. I can play Baracuda...duh dun dun dun..OOOBARACUDA!
I am jealous of Serart!!! I would love to see Roger Waters again!!! I cried during "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and during "Wish You Were Here"...his stage show was tremendous! My favorite part was during SOYCD

I'm seeing U2 even if it means travelling more than 6 hours. They've been my favorite band since before I was even born.

I'm also totally going to see Petty when he comes, I've seen his live DVDs, and if they're that great, he must be awesome in person. I <333 Tom.

Also, I'd like to see Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, and Velvet Revolver.

I'd love to see VR. Petty is awesome. He's got such a catalog of great music, you're like "oh yeah, I like that one...". Plus, his tickets are reasonably priced, he hasn't really "sold out" so to speak. He still respects the little guys. His humility is refreshing.

I'm pretty lucky since I can walk to the Fleet Center from here. I'm not sure who's coming there yet, although I noticed U2s got a couple of May dates there. I've never seen them and would like to. Maybe I'll just get some nosebleed seats. :)

You totally need to drive to Pittsburgh to see Sarah. They have 7th row on ebay for a decent price. I bet you could get close to front row a couple of days before the show especially if you are only looking for one ticket. I know so many of my friends that want to go to this show but there is no way I am going to be able to get that many good seats together. So I guess we will all be spread out. Anyway, if you do come to pittsburgh let me know. My e-mail is [email protected]. I can show you around the city :)

OMG, me too. I've never seen them, loved them for so long & they are coming to Philly on May 14th at the Wachovia Center. I'm so afraid that when I try to get tickets this Saturday on ticketmaster.com, there won't be any left.

I saw Blondie last year, & they were awesome. To anyone going to see them, you will not be sorry.

I think I'll give U2 a miss on this tour. As big a fan as I am,it's U2 *OVERLOAD* at the moment in the media and i'm sick of the current album already.
The last thing I want is to go see 'em live.
So I'm passing on U2 live at Croke Park in June. They may *think* they're the biggest thing on the planet, but really, they're not.

Awwwww. The DJ just announced on my local classic rock radio station that they had the presale starting yesterday for fan club members. You had to pay $40 to get into the fan club. Well, the U2 site crashed; everyone got on there at once to get tickets & everyone got screwed. What a shame! This is why I didn't join the fan club. I was in Fleetwood Mac fan club for the only reason to get good seats at a concert & I got screwed, so I really feel sorry for these people.
