Hey Markolas, my daughter is totally addicted to Sims 2. We bought the game and then I ended up upgrading my video card and ram to make it play better. Maybe I should start playing it.

Haha. My duaghter has "the Buckingham family." Gee, I wonder where she got that from? Maybe the framed copy of B/N hanging over my desk?

I have a tendency to create families and then get sick of them and delete them. I did that with the first Sims game a lot. I love how all Sims are basically bisexual and you can make them go either way.
Right now, I've got a family I've named the Fairmonts. I'm quickly getting bored with them, though. The father (Charles) is a crime boss, and the mother (Laura) was a stay at home mom. They had two teenagers, a boy (Brian) and a girl (Kate). Brian is a homosexual, and Kate is a criminal like her father.
Now, the kids have grown up, and Charles & Laura divorced after the Laura found Charles cheating with the maid. So, now Charles and the maid are married and have a little baby. :)
Then, Kate had an illegitimate child with one of my gay Sims.
But, I'm getting bored with the lot of them now...

It runs kind of choppy on my machine. I wonder how much trouble it would be to upgrade the video card. I'm thinking of buying a new computer soon...

The video card was like $60 and all I had to do was snap it into place and it works great.

So glad I'm not the only one! I went to their website recently and the first expansion pack is going to be The Sims: University Life - The kids are going to college! :] Can't wait for that, but I don't know if my computer can keep up. I can only play for like 5-10 mins, I guess I'm running out of room.
