Cool bumpersticker! In the meantime, I need to get myself to Maui. Maybe I'd run into Stevie. I don't like Joe Cocker though.

Tenth row is strange in fact, maybe she was recording (on tape of course) and didn't want to get caught... ;)

Joe Cocker puts on a great show. I saw him a few years ago when he opened for Tina Turner and I honestly enjoyed seeing him more than Tina. If I had the chance to see him again, I'd go in a heartbeat.

Joe Cocker rocks! I saw him about 3yrs. ago in Walkerton, Ontario for a benefit concert for the Walkerton E. coli water tragedy, he was on a North American tour with "The Guess Who" and they made a stop in this tiny little town to help raise money and spirits, he was awesome!

Also, I like Joe's version of "Feeling Alright." That is a good one too.

I've always said that John Belushi did a better Joe Cocker than Joe Cocker.
I emailed John Kinney re: sending a care package - he'd already done it - turns out that the NicksFix bumper sticker WAS a part of that particular soldier's care package! :p If anyone is interested in adopting a soldier:

Cool bumpersticker! .
It's bittersweet. I like the sticker, I'm glad STevie is everywhere.. but, I hate that war and I don't like the americans occupying Irak. I would prefer see that sticker in every other cooler place

For some reason I think it must be considered uncool for a celebrity to be close to the front. I have no idea why I think that but I do. :wavey:

I think it was Jackie O who used to sit a few rows back when she would go to the theater b/c she didn't want to distract from the performance. She said that if she sat up front that everyone would watch her instead of watching the play. Maybe that is why Stevie doesn't like to sit right up front. JMO.

A friend of mine just pointed out this pic to me. Looks like Stevie's a Joe Cocker fan from way back.
That's his 1974 'I Can Stand A Little Rain' album (with "You Are So Beautiful" on it) in her hands (though the pic looks to be circa 1978/1979)....

Does anyone know why this doll is so rich to pose with some cash? Did Stevie have to pay a bribe to have her picture taken with it? :D ;)

I have never seen that picture before. I would be afraid that the doll would kill me in the middle of the night. It has that come alive in the middle of the night look. The red shoes and jacket...maybe she was feeling like a lady of the night. +10 for black stockings! SOMEONE has to LOVE her.

Hey now! It was the seventies after all.
I wish Stevie would wear skirts that show a little bit of leg nowadays. Her legs are still pretty nice, from the little bit we have seen of them. She covers up her best features!
That doll? Super scary. I hate dolls like that. They remind me of bad nightmares I used to have as a kid, where a clown doll came to life and attacked me. Ever since then I have had a clown/weird doll phobia. Some of Stevie's dolls are pretty and not scary but that one? shudder.

I used to cry at the circus when I was little--clowns? freak me out :distress: Happy clowns? I suppose I can deal with them. But some are so...meeh...just flat out creepy. That reminds me a little of the huge doll in Poltergeist. You know, the one that grabs Robbie and pulls him underneath the bed?

Yeah, I agree, Riss. I HATE CLOWNS.
I've never seen that pic of Stevie before either...when was that taken? She's very "plain" there.

Honestly now, does anyone like clowns??
Why do clowns exist? I don't think I've ever in my life heard someone say, "Hey, I love clowns." Or, "Clowns made me happy when I was a kid." Or, "I used to hate everything about the circus - except for those groovy clowns!"
So what gives with the d*amned clowns?

Anne Rice had essentially two HUGE old old houses in New Orleans in which she kept her doll collection. One of these structures was actually an old orphanage that she restored
