The Aviator

[GypsySorcerer]

Just got back from the Aviator, and I must say, it was pretty good. A little long, maybe, but very good. I thought DiCaprio did a fine job as did Cate Blanchett (I love this girl) as Katharine Hepburn.

I thought it was Scorsese's best since Casino.
The aviation sequences were spectacular and DiCaprio was superb.
I didn't think it was too long, I thought it remained fascinating to the end.
Oh and Cate deserves an Oscar for her turn as Hepburn. She was utterly convincing despite the fact she doesn't look a thing like her.

I agree that Cate deserves an Oscar - she was great, and got even better as the film went on.

I think trimming about 10 minutes off the end would have helped some. But overall, very, very good. :)

I wanted to see it, too. Thanks for the heads up. Although, since i read the review yesterday, I've wanted to see Hotel Rwanda...oops, anyways.
