I'm just curious, what albums have you not heard. (bootlegs are another story, but you can list if you want)
I have heard just about everything from FM SN LB CM
I have not heard:
John McVie's Gotta Band w/ Lola Thomasalso have not heard Something Big
What's missing in ur collection? :woohoo:

I don't own anyone's solo work outside of the Rumours era (ie Rick, Billy, Peter...etc)....except for a few songs here and there.
As for FM, I own all the released stuff....even from way back when. I'm still working on my bootleg collection, though.
(BTW....Gotta Band is a great record. I love Lola's voice. )

I own no Christine solos. I only recently expanded my FM collection, and now I have almost every album. Except FMLive, and the green album. But I don't think I need the green album because I have all the material. I only own SN Enchanted and Bella Donna. I think I am missing one or two LB solos! I can't burn them because I don't have any FM fan-friends!

I have everything of Fleetwood Mac from 1967-2003 if you include the albums in the Blue Horizon box set. I don't have the Live In Boston CD/DVD, if that's considered an album. I don't have all of the Peter Green era compilation/reissues either. As for solo albums, it's a lot easier for me to list what I do have than what I don't have. I have everything of Christine's including her solo albums & Chicken Shack. I have 2 Stevie solo albums, 2 Lindsey solo albums, 2 Mick solo albums, 3 Bob Welch solo albums & 1 Billy Burnette solo album.

I don't have nay early FM stuff, except for what's on the Chain Box set. I don't have Behind the Mask, and that other one that was released with that other chick singing. See how much I can about THAT one? I don't have anyones solo stuff except all of Stevie's. I think I have only heard one Lindsey solo song, and it's holiday road. Can you tell where my interest lies?
I'm just a Stevie girl really

I don't have Mirage, Behind the Mask, or Time. I'm curious about the first two, but Time I really have no interest in.
Out of the Cradle is the only LB album I own, although I reeeally hope to get the other two sometime in the near future. And I hope he puts out a new one, pronto. I don't own Street Angel or Christine's 1984 album.
Then Play On and Bare Trees are the only pre-BN Mac albums I own.
Don't own, nor do I have any interest in owning, any of Mick's or John's solo work, or Bob Welch's (blech).

Well actually I don't have 'Something Big' yet. But I may get that eventually.

This is kinda like mine. Well, I got Mirage, but I don't like much of it. And if you made the list "what haven't you seen?" ? I could be here all day... :( I have one pre BN album, though, it's pretty ok. But i have hardly any boots or live recordings or whatever.

I've been holding off on getting Mirage, TITN, and BTM on CD, hoping they'll be reissued sometime soon. People here keep saying the sound quality of the Mirage CD is awful. I used to have TITN on tape, so I've at least heard it.
Which pre BN album do you have? I kind of like the Peter Green blues era, but I can't stomach Bob Welch...why didn't they just hire Terry Jacks to join the band? Anyway...

There is actually a lot that I don't own. The original edition of Rumours or the Whitle Album . I did own the originals on vinyl at one time. I have the reissues though. None of Chris's solo, none of the pre B/N stuff, none of Mick's solo.

Mirage just sounds overproduced and too light and icky poppy for me (with the notable exceptions being stevie's songs) It sounds...metallic... :distress: It's really weird...

I need Penguin and Kiln House to complete my Pre-BN collection. I own and love Time (I can't stand those who make fun of it before listening to it). I own all Rumours people solo albums, and would love to have Bob Welch's stuff, but it's just not available.

I don't have any Mac albums before Kiln House (in other words, before when Christine started appearing on them), but I have everything after except "Time."
I have none of Mick's solo albums, nor any by pre- or post-Rumours members, but I have everything by Stevie, Christine, John and Lindsey. I also have two Chicken Shack LPs that Christine's on (but don't like them).
I think that about sums it up!

The only Fleetwood Mac album I don't own is the Jeremy Spencer solo album that was really a Mac album, which is a bugger to find and VERY expensive if you can find it.
In terms of solo stuff, I'm missing the pre-Mac Bob Welch stuff as well as "Mac Years and Beyond," Peter Green's "Beast Of Burden" single, the single Billy recorded as Billy Beau when he was like 13, some of the John Mayall stuff (John McVie and Rick Vito), a few Savoy Brown albums (Dave Walker), Bob Weston's first two solo albums, and a few Rick Vito albums.
Also, I don't have a lot in the way of boots after 1975, and there are a few singles I don't have. Movie soundtracks are also limited.

I don't have any Lindsey solo or Christine's 1984 album. I only have one Bob Welch solo album and may be interested in more. (Not too interested in any other solo works by the other members at the moment).
And I still have to get

Kiln House

I have Christine's 1984 LP, and have listened to it once and I don't own In the Meantime, but I've heard clips. I don't have any Mick (or John's) solo albums.

I've got all the official FM albums (and a few unofficial) except Live in Boston - oooh no! I don't own Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac or Then Play On although I did once have them on vinyl.
In terms of solo stuff I've got all Chris', all Stevie's and all Lindsey's
I don't own John or Mick's solo stuff or anything by Bob, Billy, Rick, Peter, Jeremy or Danny although I did once own a Peter Green solo album on green vinyl (yuk)
I used to have Chicken Shack's OK Ken on vinyl but after a while Stan Web's impersonations got right up my nose!
I sold nearly all of my vinyl when I bought my first CD player, including one I got free with frozen peas! (not FM)
I keep my FM CDs together in order of release (newest at the top), then solo albums (Christine first, then Stevie, then Lindsey) no doubt Christine would be very honoured by this!

I got all of my Christine Perfect albums on eBay, 2 on vinyl & the import CD. They aren't cheap, especially the import CD. They can go for close to $100. The U.K. album on vinyl is also pretty expensive. But, the U.S. reissue on vinyl(The Legendary Christine Perfect album)is more reasonably priced.

Not a bitter bone in my body, Homie. Life's too short. And if I was going to be bitter about something, you can be sure it would be about something far more important than what other people think about 'Street Angel' or "When I See You Again."
If I enjoy something, that's all the satisfaction and validation I need.
As I've said before, I honestly don't care if someone else loves a song/album or hates it... all that matters to me is whether I love it, because I'm the only person who needs to be pleased when I listen to it.
I might scratch my head in bewilderment that someone else can't see the beauty in it that I see, but their opinion of it doesn't affect mine in the slightest.

Ahh... I get where you're coming from then.
Yeah, I was bitter for about two days after the election, but then that was it. Bush and his ilk are pond-scum and don't deserve to have that level of control over my outlook. Political regimes come and go... the political climate can shift on a dime... it's not worth it to stay bitter, we just have to keep working to make things better. :D

The production on 'Street Angel' is a little muddled, due to the troubles behind the scenes... but I was thrilled that Stevie was back to a more straightforward sound.
For my ears, 'Wild Heart' and 'Rock A Little' were a great mix of traditional, REAL instruments with the cool new gadgets of the digital age (synths, drum machines)... but 'Other Side Of The Mirror' took the latter a little too far, at the expense of the former.
'Street Angel' was a return to guitars, drums and pianos, and I loved that aspect. Again, it was just a little too muddled/murky at times.
If you ever have a chance to get a copy of it, you really should. You might actually find an appreciation for it. :)

yeah, those art and picture books are expens, i don't really buy those, cause i can't read them. :D I usually hit the used bookstore right across the street from B&N, to check first. Plus, i can trade my books there if they're in good shape. that's weird you buy books you'll never read. I always get ones i read. But i buy them because i have to, cause i'll go nutter butter without something to read. I usually just buy regular novels, though...

It's just that I have so many that I'll never get to half of them while I'm alive. I'm a book snob, though, it has to be something really fantastic for me to like it.

Never would I pay that for a concert, not even if it was their last tour. I've seen Tom Petty many times and never paid more than $50, and that includes being up near the stage. Saw Sheryl Crow for $35. Saw Blondie many, many times and never paid more than $35, even saw them at free concerts. Melissa Etheridge was $30. Aimee Mann was $15 when I saw her!
well, i had to, that's all there was left by the time i could buy it. Also, when i snuck in and saw them in Oakland from way back the year before, i promised myself that if I ever saw them again, i would be in front. Lo and behold, extended tour. They were also playing at my stadiums right next to my 30th birthday, so that was another extenuating circumstance. It's like it was fated....However, normally i would never, ever pay that much. I actually won tickets to the show, but they were lawn, and there was no way. Plus, I really thought i would never have a chance to see all of them again, after they did the DAnce. so it was really, really, like i had to do it. Next time i'm gonna have a fund saved, so i can get front row at a normal price. :) Plus, they are my fav, fav, fav, fav, fav band ever. As in, i hardly listen to a bunch of other stuff, as you can tell...

Ah. I'll read any damn thing. And in fact, prefer mystery and fantasy, so, it's not like there's a shortage of those...I guess you spend a lot of time listening to music and watching DVD's that i spend reading? :) By the way, send those books to me, i'll finish em!!!!

Wait, I actually did pay that much when I saw Bette Midler. My bad. Ah, how quickly we forget...

That's the worst excuse I have ever heard. When wasn't there "trouble behind the scenes?" Klonopin or not.
"Trouble behind the scenes" in that the original producer, Glyn Johns, blocked Stevie from using many of the musicians she was friends with and had worked with on her albums in the past... such as Waddy Wachtel.
And "trouble behind the scenes," in that Johns basically dictated what he felt the album should sound like, with apparently little regard to what STEVIE wanted her album to sound like.
Once Johns was out of the picture, Stevie and Thom Panunzio stripped many of the tracks back, and began overdubbing new instrumentation on top (including guitar work from Waddy).
Mixing and re-mixing the existing material in order to achieve a sound closer to what Stevie had originally wanted.
It's a great album, IMO, but due to the extent of the remixing and overdubbing, it lacks some of that spatial "breathing room" that her past music had.
So... the "trouble behind the scenes" that I was referring to, was in regards to the recording of the album itself, and not to any troubles in Stevie's personal life.

Oh, I'm always reading, and probably listening to music while doing so, but I'm just very snobby and picky. I actually like a lot of the Oprah picks.

I've never understood this. Stevie has admitted to being an unpleasant person during this time and said she fired a lot of good people, why she didn't get rid of Johns is a mystery to me.

The Divine Miss M was supposed to be just about the best thing on the road this year, or so I heard...
And, Amber? I read lots of books without spending a lot--the library can be a wonderful place! :]
yes, i know, i heard it was a great show. The library's ok. I actually owe them thirty five dollars from a book that flipped out of my backpack when i was rollerblading back from the pool last summer...  It was a crappy book, is the worst part....

Yup. Homegirl can put on a show that would knock every other singer/entertainer flat on their ass. She's not a woman in her fifties, she's a force of f*cking nature. I'll say it until I die, she's the greatest live act to hit the stage so far in history.

I like Morrison, too. I also like Jane Hamilton, Wally Lamb (Shes Come Undone is fabulous), Jane Smiley, Michael Cunnigham, and Sue Miller. Once Were Warriors by Alan Duff is phenomenal, too.

Good question!
I've read from other artists who've worked with him, that he could be a very stubborn and intimidating man. Maybe Stevie felt overwhelmed? Or maybe it was just that she was initially too zoned-out to fight?
I know she's said that it was really AFTER she detoxed from the Klonopin, and went back to listen to the masters, that she totally panicked about how the album sounded and realized she needed to do something about it before it was released.

Out of those, i think I've only read Wally Lamb and ...maybe Sue Miller. Is Once Were Warriors the one the movie was made of? I like depressing books, but not as much as non depressing books...thus, mystery and fantasy...

Was Cunningham the author of The Hours? Great book. Can't think of the Sue Miller book I read....something about a woman pondering an affair. Of course, that could mean any number of books.

The one you're thinking of by Miller is While I Was Gone. :woohoo:

that's weird you buy books you'll never read. I always get ones i read. Yeah, that's what keeps me from spending over a hundred dollars (of my parent's money) on one trip to Barnes & Noble. I see lots of things I like, but I always just ask myself "Am I actually going to read this if I own it?" Too often, the answer is no, and that is what makes me put it back. The same goes for music, although I have more of a problem with that. I don't need anymore Mac music right now because what I have is enough to spend a year listening to, but, in the back of my mind, I'm like, Hey, they've got Future Games...haven't heard that one yet...okay, do I need it to listen to now?...NO, don't need it right now...but...I must have all the FM CDs! I can just ask Mom for one...no biggie... I bet I won't do that when it's my own money, though.

WELL...To play the devil's advocate, Hillary, Future Games is one of my very favorite albums. Christine's "Show Me A Smile" is just as good as anything she has ever recorded with the band. She sings it about a male in it, so maybe you might not like it as well as her gender-ambiguous songs? "Sands of Time", "Woman of 1,000 Years," and "Sometimes" by Danny Kirwan are all absolutely perfect. Then there's Bob Welch's epic "Future Games." Oh, and that funky sax work by John Perfect on "What A Shame." The whole album has this ethereal, relaxing feel that I adore. If you like some of Stevie's folkier writings, you'll probably like Future Games.
So, I commend you for your decision to not spend so much on Fleetwood Mac music. Wait to buy Future Games, but make sure you buy it eventually. :)
--JustinCool! Thanks for your review of it, Justin. :) Makes me more excited about it than before. I definitely will get it eventually.

I have all Mac stuff from the White Album to present. Plus Bare Trees. From the blues era, just what I got at the Chain boxset.
STevie: Timespace, Enchanted & TISL. But I'd like to have Bella Donna
Lindsey: His 3 solos, but I just like OOTC
Christine: Her solo cd from the 80s.
I'm a mac guy, Rumours lineup.
