1. If you could turn back time, and go to a special day just for one day, what day would you choose and why? (you may choose any place)
Well I'd love to go back in 1979 and go to STUDIO 54. I love all the stories about that disco, I was 13 by that year and never had been in the US (except in 1973 my only trip to Disney W).
Or any show during the Rumours or Tusk era. But the Studio54 is my first option (sorry fellows)

2. If you could repeat a new year's eve, what would you choose and why?
There was this crazy party back in 1997, details are a bit... obscene, ha ha... but it was FUN!!!

3. What is your favorite year in your life and why? or the year you specially remember...
1977 was like a turning point. I entered High School and started to get interested in rock music. Besides it was the year I got my first pet for Christmas (a cocker spaniel). And the Rumours album, of course!! ha ha,,, though I didn't realize about it
1983 was another great year. Not mac productions but a great year for music, and i did enjoy it. Every breath you take... every move you make...

1. If you could turn back time, and go to a special day just for one day, what day would you choose and why? (you may choose any place)

A tie between May 24,1993 & April 19,1995-May 24th because Deb & myself were married (Gee it's been 11 years already???) & April 19th was the day that I no longer believed anything that was told to me by our government (168 died in the Murrah Building in OKC...My own backyard of all places)

2. If you could repeat a new year's eve, what would you choose and why?

Dec.31,1999-Deb & myself drove to Chickasha's "Festival of Lights" to celebrate the new millennium, Thinking it would be full of thousands of people, To only be among the 20-25 people to brave the single digit weather and stand on the lighted bridge over the pond as the New Year rang in...

3. What is your favorite year in your life and why? or the year you specially remember

Any year but 1977 & 2004 is fine to me...So I will just pick one and say 1976 since the US celebrated the 200th anniversary of our country & I still have the memories of being an innocent youth then.

Brian "Me, Innocent??? Yeah right... "j.

1. If you could turn back time, and go to a special day just for one day, what day would you choose and why? (you may choose any place)

There are so many days I'd love to re-live, I can't pick just one. First trip to Disneyland, and then later, Disneyworld. First kiss - good kiss, not the sloppy kind from someone who doesn't know what they're doing. The first time I met Stevie. My day with the Ramones. The day I accidentally discovered I was getting an Easy Bake Oven for Hanukkah.

2. If you could repeat a new year's eve, what would you choose and why?

That's easy. Stevie's millenium show in Vegas!

3. What is your favorite year in your life and why? or the year you specially remember...
2003 was pretty kick-ass. So was 2004. Both for FM reasons. 1982-graduated high school and moved to Austin.

Studio 54, good one! And after seeing "Mayor of the Sunset Strip," I wish I was 21, living in LA in the late 70's, hanging out at the English Disco! Either there or London in the late 70's.

1. If you could turn back time, and go to a special day just for one day, what day would you choose and why? (you may choose any place)

Christmas 1955. I got my first record player. In 1954, I fell in love with rock music and it's been a passion ever since. That record player meant everything to me that year

2. If you could repeat a new year's eve, what would you choose and why?

none of them

3. What is your favorite year in your life and why? or the year you specially remember...

The year I was 12. It just was a fun year

This is very hard, I'll probably change my mind after I post this. Probably one of my birthdays when my American grandparents were still living. (they were both gone by the time I was 10) Or my wedding day, since I forgot to grab some dirt or a cool rock from The Valley of Fire State Park, where we got married. I was going to put it in a pretty little bottle...oh, well :(

2. If you could repeat a new year's eve, what would you choose and why?

None of them really stand out that much, but I wouldn't change any of them either.

3. What is your favorite year in your life and why? or the year you specially remember...

1984 - I really remember this year well, for some reason. I was 9, in third grade, loved my teacher Mrs. Wood & did really well in school. I was really into Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie, Pat Benetar, Prince, Michael Jackson and...well, Wham! There, I said it! I also remember watching the summer olympics (esp gymnastics - Mary Lou!) It was a great summer, we had a pool, my brother & I had a blast with all the other kids in the neiborhood. Grandpa was still alive, we drove to VA with him to see my aunt & uncle. Good times, good friends.

Hmmm. Probably a day with my boyfriend that was a turning point for us.

2. If you could repeat a new year's eve, what would you choose and why?
New Year's Eve 2001. I was in London and I had so much fun that night.

3. What is your favorite year in your life and why? or the year you specially remember...
I would say 2003. It was my last year at my old university and I really enjoyed myself. Then, in the fall I moved and began a pretty happy phase of my life.

Not blinded, just slightly blurred from drugs. Oh, ****. We're not supposed to say that anymore. OK, um.. no, drugs are bad.
Lux, thanks for the comment, about the piano lesson. Good luck with yours.

Bono is good. Do you disagree? I thought you liked Bono. Wait, my opinion of you might just change right now. If you dislike Bono, then you are the enemy. Whoa, I'm being paranoid now.

I'd tell you to sell your computer, but then you would have no way to chat. I'd rather sell my computer than my guitar. Furthermore, I'd rather smash the computer on mother's head than the guitar. She woudl probably die though, and then I'd be imprisoned. Oh well.

dreamongypsydkm
01-02-2005, 04:23 AM
This is incriminating, isn't it? This conversation? Well, once I hit my mother back after she smacked me and then I spent the next year of my life in my room, only leaving to go to school. I had no television or phone. I was bored, but this is pretty much when I learned a lot on the guitar so it had its benefits. Plus, I can say I punched my mom in the face.

dreamongypsydkm
01-02-2005, 04:36 AM
Well, you'd have to visit in order to punch her right? And I'd have to go there to Australia too. Well, I'm getting my own place sometime this year so if you make it over here I can house you.

dreamongypsydkm
01-02-2005, 04:42 AM
Inspire to you smash something over the head of your mother? How can I do that? I think she does that, doesn't she? Am I way off here? Well, I still think a computer would be best, although I've always enjoyed the people in movies who smash the vases filled with flowers over the heads of the villains, and then the villains get soil and water with the flowers still intact sitting upon their heads. That's a cartoon thing, isn't it?

dreamongypsydkm
01-02-2005, 04:56 AM
I know, isn't that odd? Did "Lux" come about before the film, or were you inspired by it? I'd like to think you're more original than that, but who knows. My sister has jeans that are Lux brand and down the street there's a salon called Lux. I might go there tomorrow to put on acrylic nails since I have to start playing guitar again. Obviously it's only going on the right hand. Wait, what was the point again?

dreamongypsydkm
01-02-2005, 05:08 AM
Well, nails are what are on the ends of your fingers, and if you play guitar you need to have sturdy and long ones on your right hand (unless you're left handed). Most people get fake ones. Lindsey has them, have you noticed? I'm sure you have.

dreamongypsydkm
01-02-2005, 05:17 AM
Bleeding and injury do generally go together, so I guess that's what nails or leck thereof have to do with injuring one's mom. That was a reach.

I'll answer 1&3 together: I'd go back to when I was 25 and I had met my soul mate. We only had about 6 months total with each other but Ive never forgotten those days and I know he hasnt either. We're still in touch, and there is more to come, just not now. The reverse of this question might be: To what point in the future would you go? To which I'd reply: That point where my soul mate and I are reunited. I know its coming, I just dont know when. and I suck at waiting.

Actually, there is no one single New Years Eve that I would repeat.

A favorite is 1979 New Year's Eve. I was pregnant with my firstborn (daughter), my hubby and I were married only 5 months and we just moved into our new home. We were in Germany and from our living room window we could see the fireworks that were going off in the city over the river. It was one of the most romantic and loving time I have ever felt in my life. Sort of like being in my own personal Heaven.

I would want to go back to August, 1999 and see my mother again. It was the last time I got to spend with her before she passed away. Just to hear her voice and see her face again would be nice.
