And on a related note, they used the Fleetwood Mac reference in their kind of stupid ryming with ACK skit for the second time in like 6 months  It's laziness on SNL's part but I'm happy with any random Fleetwood Mac mention.

HAHA! I noticed that too. Since we're on the subject ... Ana Matronic from the Scissor Sisters was looking VERY Stevie tonight, complete with robotic tambourine spasms. (I thought they were great, btw -- very energetic and fun!!!)

I was thinking the exact same thing. Did you love the corset she was wearing for Comfortably Numb?

It was cut here.Isn't it strange that they cut that out yet they actually re-aired the Ashlee Simpson episode last week--hoedown, band-blaming, lip-synching and all? It was like the episode was never made infamous. They just re-aired it like there wasn't a thing wrong with it. I was surprised about that. I'm sure Ashlee was thrilled. I'm sure she was watching it from home, being bedridden as a result of that nefarious acid reflux.

Speaking of that episode, did y'all catch "Bear City"? How stupid. Are they grasping at straws or what?

Ratings. Ashlee didn't swear or expose herself so it's all gravy to NBC.

Scissor Sisters were ok, but Hoppy McGoldPants was getting on my nerves. That girl was Stevie ish, she looked cute.

Maybe that will be a running theme with that skit, I hope so :blob1:

The lead singer was wearing gold pants, and he was hopping and flailing about to an annoying degree. he was also wearing a vest open, and he was really skinny. I just thought he was kind of lame. :)

Yeah, the corset was great, although the ribbons or whatever hanging across her skirt looked like she had just come inside from a game of flag football. :D But that's glam rock for ya -- and thank God.

At least they were having fun onstage, and sounded pretty good. Even though I don't like "Comfortably Numb", which I think they played cuz it was the one the Grammy folks nominated them for. I really like the rest of their album, though.

From their website:
"09.12.2004 - SCISSORS NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY AWARD

WE KNEW THE GRAMMY COMMITTEE HAD SOME GOOD DRUGS, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THE SCISSORS HAVE BEEN NOMINATED FOR THEIR FIRST GRAMMY AWARD FOR BEST DANCE RECORDING FOR “COMFORTABLY NUMB.” OTHER NOMINEES INCLUDE KYLIE, THE CHEMS, BASEMENT JAXX AND BRITNEY. WATCH THE CEREMONY ON CBS ON FEBRUARY 13TH TO SEE IF THEY WIN."

Pat and Patti's Slacks, Snacks, and Knick-knack Shack! Bwah!

Colin Ferrell: "How about this hand-shellaqued plaque of Fleetwood Mac?" (Pic of Mick in the cheerleader outfit).

Patti: "Don't sell that, put it in the back with my velvet poster of Roberta Flack."

Something like ThAt....

And I love the Scissor Sisters!

For some odd reason, I found the roach skit hilarious! Mainly when the guts flew all over the place, and the look on Horatio's face when they were spraying him.

They were in New Orleans a few weeks ago when I was there. They are a little frightening in person  I saw them on the street - they were getting ready for a gig. Sadly, I had to miss the gig - I would have liked to have seen it.

Yes, Backpack Shack. I taped SNL 'cause I went out Sat. nite. So, now I gotta keep it, cuz of the FM mention. You can see it whenever you watch Gypsy 83! AND, I still have some of that crazy gospel old lady on tape for you to watch!

Yep - but he was wearing overalls without a shirt underneath. I liked his second outfit, with the giant lapels.
