Need someone with Dial-Up to help me

I've uploaded a whole wack of cd covers that I made to my website, and I tried to condense them down so they were'nt so large, yet still visible. So basically I need someone with dial-up to check out the front page of the site and let me know if they have any problems with the time it takes for the page to load up.

All the cd covers link to a much larger file of the cover and I know dial-up users will probably have problems with those, it's mainly the front page of my site that concerns me. So if anyone with dial-up has some time, and could give me some input I would appreciate it.

Hey Peter, I don't have dial-up but I have a comparatively slow internet connection (DSL, but there's something up with it because it seems to be almost as slow as dial-up lately), and it took a bit less than 2 minutes for all the CD covers to load on my computer. I clicked on one and the larger version loaded in no time at all. I know it would be slower with dial-up, but I thought I would be mildly helpful in telling you how it worked out when I tried it.

I tried it with a dial up and I.E. 5. It loaded real slow with errors.

Great looking site! I'm on 28K dialup (please God help me!), and the front page took about 12 minutes to load completely. I clicked on the "Hershey PA 2004" link, and that took a little less than 3 minutes.

The CD covers popped up fine -- it was the Stevie-animation that I think is your e-mail link that was the big holdup, at least on my machine.

Also, the picture at the end of the Links list (just before the Live In Boston section) did not load either time, and I couldn't get a filename listing when I right-clicked it.

Again - nice site!

Okay... Well thanks everyone, for the help and the compliment on the site. You've been helpful.

28k.... I remember the days Chuck very well... I feel your pain.

I'm thinking the Stevie animation is the big hold up. The size of the gif is 1,060kb so with dial up it would take awhile to load that, which might also cause the rest to be slow to load as well. I'll keep workin at it.

I had a buddy at the CIA visit your site with a supercomputer. He said “Even the porn loaded fast.” He wants to know if Stevie is a witch? He also said yes G+G your spoiled and you have a bench warrant for your arrest. :distress:

Well, I am on dial-up :eek: and I tried it at around 4AM east coast time and it really did not take too long only a few minutes. The SN animation took the longest but not that much.

The site looks very nice. :)

Mine loaded in 1 second. I love my computer!!! :laugh: :p Nixxed? Forget Tivo, dude, get highspeed internet first! You must be a very patient man... :)
