Honey, I heard you loud and clear and had to see for myself. And God bless our Al, he got the last word by pointing out that in the past when Rumsfeld was asked about looting he replied that in a free society there will be looting. Al then proceded to invite Ann "Coultergeist" (PS, Brian J, I love you for that euphemism.) to loot with him because Rumsfeld said it was part of being part of a free society. To which she promptly replied, "mh..., mh... ", nothing, Ms Applethroat had nothing.

Let's see, their goin' to have "F9/11" vs. "The Passion" next...Oh boy, I give it to the "donut guy" over Mel-vin the Neanderthal (All apologies to those Neanderthals I offend, Which is probably a large portion of the RNC!), The closest I can get to ever seeing the "Pass-on" is when South Park show's "the Passion of the Jew" (Which is on this Saturday night on Comedy Central!!! Now that is a plug for ya!)

Oh, Fineman is a pill. "We should have had more troops in Iraq to begin with and we shouldn't have had more troops because there wasn't enough armor for them." He's dumb as a post. And when he praised Shrub for acting so strongly and swiftly over the Rumsfeld debacle? I almost puked.
HE WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO ANY DAMAGE CONTROL IF HE HAD MADE SURE OUR TROOPS HAD THE ARMOR THEY NEEDED TO BEGIN WITH INSTEAD OF ****TY VIETNAM-ERA FLAK JACKETS!!!!!!!
But, ah yes, this is the man who will keep us safe. I wouldn't trust the bastard to light a match, let alone protect this country and our troops in that quagmire overseas.
And don't even get me started on The Passion vs. F9/11. Good cripes.

It's true. But this administration doesn't care about people, they hate us.
Coultergeist is a beast, everyone I know can tell you that I hate that woman with every fiber of my being. I loathe her. She makes my skin crawl. When I go into bookstores, I put other books in front of her swill. She's Hitler in heels.

Rumsfeld couldn't have come across as more uncaring and cold if he tried. I was stunned by his lack of compassion for the soldiers. This administration is all about phoniness and bull****ting, but Rumsfeld didn't get the memo, I suppose. Maybe he's just biding his time so that he can present a fake ham on Christmas morning to a group of selected soldiers in Iraq?

Ann's point wasn't a point at all, it was smoke and mirrors. He was asked if he would send his kid over there to Iraq. He then bull****ted his way out of the question and pointed to his nephew. In Afghanistan.

I know - but awhile back I said I thought it was relevant that the Congressman had a relative over there, even if it was not his kid and it was not what MM asked and it was not in Iraq. But, I agree, there is a diff. between that and sending your own kid - I think this because I would not want to send my nephew. But, I get the diff.

Suze, aren't you getting a bit perturbed by the latest goings-on in our lovely state? Some arson(s) burned down a Muslim mosque in Springfield last night and the National Socialist Movement just moved into Boston, along with Volksfront. Why are the neo-Nazi's migrating to our state?

I haven't read it yet but I am intrigued. Diss, Honey, did you hear about Brudnoy? Speaking of atheists, however he is agnostic. Crap, I have to read that article.
I just want to say though, I respected Brudnoy, I thought he was VERY smart and I disagreed with him a lot. Especially because he once said that children raised by sub-par parents may as well be written off. Actually, more than making me angry, that upset me. (Although extremely literate, guess where I come from... )
Anywaaay... no f-ing way, I cannot believe that mainstream media is finally covering "stop loss".
That has been in effect for a long time. I met my BR in Oct of '02. By June he was deployed to Okinawa, for 6 mos or more, due to "stop loss". I could not believe it and I could not believe no one was talking about it.
Fortunately for us, Sean served 8 years active duty in the past and had recently (in '02) signed on for Marine Reserves. I didn't know this (that he re-enlisted for reserves), and suddenly, my BF of 6 mos was heading for Okinawa for (what would have become 8 mos). I was grateful he didn't go to Iraq.
I am feeling redeemed that Stop Loss is finally being talked about. Honestly I was shocked that a man who had 8 years active duty under his belt could sign on for the reserves, and then have "Stop Loss" be instituted so that he had to be deployed over seas for 3, 6, 9 mos, or however long they f-ing felt like. But being a good marine he would never have complained about it and did his duty... maddening.
