View Full Version : Happy Birthday Lux!

Indeed, 'Happy Birthday!' to Lux, for she is a jolly good fellow.
Oh the naysayers, with their "She's neither a fellow nor good", nor in fact "jolly" at the best of times (as our own Lindsey Buckingham has noted on a number of occassions... said number being '2').
'Happy Birthday!' can mean so many things in so many ways. To be precise, it only means one thing, in 366 ways. Nevertheless, people say it, and since when are people wrong?
But these are all side issues. We are here to commemorate a special day in history. Let us toast to the memory of those lost in the Battle of Agincourt.
!
(Yes, Lux is worthy of an extra exclamation mark. In fact, I think we can all readily agree that it would only be appropriate that she also recieved the following two punctuation marks.)
---------------------------
Happy bday Lux.

Most certainly I can not write as witty a character assasination as Joe did, but then that's only to be expected.
Happy birthday (in AUS time) to the queen of the boards, the LZ obsessive, one of the funniest women around. Now it is time for me to insert a few of those misleading emoticons, out of pure exhaustion. :wavey: http://www.neworderonline.com/Images/Forum/Smilies/faint.gif

This evening at work, someone checked out the book 'Lux,' by Maria Flook, the title of which, of course, made me think of you.
Just now I check the Chit-Chat board and see that it's your birthday.
Just thought that was a cool little coincidence. :)
Happy Birthday, my dear! :wavey:

Oh, cupcake... How dare I miss this thread yesterday? I know I wished you a Happy Birthday, but still.. to have your own thread is a special thing to be acknowledged.
You know I hope this next year proves to be a good one for you. Perhaps Lindsey will tour, perhaps you'll be discovered and get very rich, or perhaps you'll be more available for my amusement, perhaps in Buckingham Nicks.
Either way, Happy Birthday and many more.

Oh, pumpkin. I shall indeed, I shall make myself available for your amusement. Perhaps just as an object to be pointed and laughed at.
And thanks again to everyone for wishing me a good day. I presume that from here on I have to wait my turn again. I shall embrace the remaining neutral days that are wished upon me. Now if you'll excuse me I have a porn site waiting for me.
your personal site or someone else's site  :wavey:
BTW - I sang and recorded "Fool in the Rain" a capella for you last night but have not had a chance to download it. I make no promise to being in the correct key or pitch, but what the hell

To quote myself again, thankyou.
And Jason, no, my site. A sort of dimly lit dwelling where mutants and monkeys congregate for entertainment in the form of the naked body juxtaposed and/or combined with carrots, shaving cream (mens and womens), suspensions, bicycles, barrels, Jimmy Page, dental tools, hoses, duct tape, and jam scones. 'Tis a fun place to bring the family.
You sang, for me? I am impressed that anyone's bothered to speak in this direction, let alone sing a note, or a few even. Now if you do a good job I might even invite you to my dwelling.
Regardless of the sufficiency of the the notes, I may come anyway and bring to you a conconction of hot, used coffee grinds and molasses  :wavey:

Good lord. I hope it's clean. I'm a litle concerned about the lingering scent of molasses, not so much for personal dignity but for fear of attracting cows. Nevertheless I shall give it a go. If humiliation in the form of molasses is the key to earning these few notes strung together, then I am willing.
Well, I did not want to show up empty handed
Also, he molasses could be substituted with Karo, though Karo, when heated by the grinds is lacking somewhat in consistency when comapred to molasses  Of course, these's always Crisco   :wavey:

P.S. Either I am way lower in my current range, or Plant got higher . . . hey wait a minute   Then again, maybe I should just stop singing like I am 12 again

Hey, I just downloaded it! Haha, what a thrill to hear your voice. So you're not just a icon and occasionally a two-dimensional image. You did that for me? Well I am truly honoured because not being a fan of Plant, it's hard to avoid him in relation to Zeppelin. I end up putting Bron Yr Aur and White Summer on repeat for hours. He is high though.
I was expecting one verse and unless you live in a big paddock, it takes a lot to belt one out like that which is why these song files usually contain people whispering. Suitably impressed.
LOL - It is hard for me to sing in a quiet manner - I have a TON of Ethel Merman in me; that sounds seemingly dirty to me  - oh well - suitable for the tone of the discourse I guess
I wish I could play an instrument - much less as well as Page  If it is any consolation, I was patting if not slapping my leg not in angst as I am known to do - but in time and doing the best Bonham - sadly without sticks  Oh Well - it is what it is and the missing accompany somehow suits me and, perhaps, the moment
