View Full Version : out of the ordinary things you find attractive in people

I thought about doing a thread like this since we started talking about Crow's feet, wrinkled foreheads, stretch marks, and cellulite in the "Hot People Sightings" thread. What are the things y'all like in people that other people might find unappealing or maybe even appalling?

I tend to like stretch marks because I think of them as a sign of maturity, silly as that is. I also find myself drawn to women who are overweight (in a Stevie circa early to late nineties kinda way). And there's more where that came from; I'm just drawing blanks at the moment.

I am not sure how many women like stubble on a man, but I'm allllllll for it! I saw that dude from Desperate Housewives (Mike) on some entertainment show the other day clean shaven...YUCK!! Bring back the shadow man!

I have a weird fascination with hands too. I like men with great looking hands.

Well I like a girl who has nice brunette style hair. If its just thrown all over the place is turns me off. She has to have nice eyes and teeth.

ALSO A NICE VOICE! thats a huge thing for me.

Graying or white hair...
Warm eyes with some crows feet...
A few laugh lines...
Clean fingernails/attractive hands...

A nice tight rear wouldn't hurt either.

Oddly enough I think I have just more or less described the picture of Lindsey that I have on my refrigerator. :D

 Yeah I was going to say that it did sound like Lindsey.

I don't know what I like in a man actually. I would have to say the eyes are #1 with me. It really depends on the whole person and how they carry themselves. Not just looks.

I, too, have a thing for older men. Like, 40-ish or so. Especially if they've got rough, masculine hands. Mmmm...

Also, I like a strong, Roman nose. I'm not sure what that's about, but I find it very attractive.

*sigh*

Can't Lindsey just be a *little* gay?

Dirty fingernails are so disgusting.

I have always loved older men. At 6 I loved my neighbor Donald, who was 11. At 8, I loved my camp bus driver, who was 30. At 12 I lusted Lindsey, who was 32. ;) At 20 I loved my college Shakespeare professor, who was 55.

And then I went and married a guy who is a year younger than me. And who has no gray hairs, not even &%$@# one!!! And nobody in his family has really gone gray either... I was so hoping he'd be the first...

*sigh* I *really* love gray hair on a man. Aside from LB (who IMO will look even better w/ more gray), the other lads in FM are looking quite dashing. Much better than in their brunette days. :p

"You know, everything happens in circles and cycles and, while I hate to break it to the shippers, it wasn't an affair with Stevie that broke Kristin and myself up, it was my affair with Ray Lindsey. Ray used to tell me all the time that when love was gone, there is always force, so I tried it with him and loved it. But then he went and paraded around with that fag hag Midler behind my bottom, er, back, and left me twiddling my guitar strings and [insert random word no human would ever use in a sentence]. Well, I just want to pop up and say that through all the craziness and bad stuff, HERE I AM. Your place or mine?"

In terms of what I like in guys besides what they look like:

Book and street smart (I need someone to balance out me...who is not. LOL)
Soft spoken (I can't take being around loud, obnoxious guys who love too much attention...ugh)

Cool, but not mandatory:

funny/clever, but laughs at other people's jokes. (I've met a lot of men who don't laugh at people's jokes much. it's weird, like they're in some conversation competition, and if they laugh, they'll lose.. )
