Bowie

[dissention]

I know there are quite a few Bowie fans out there, so I was wondering if any of you saw his new DVD "A Reality Tour" taped in Dublin this past year. I got it last week and have been watching it on and off all week.

The editing is piss-poor in many spots, my word. But Bowie more than makes up for it. 30 songs? Two and a half hours? :D

My favorites so far are Sunday, Under Pressure, Bring Me the Disco King, The Motel, Ziggy Stardust, Heroes, and Be My Wife. But they're all great.

I have it sitting here but I haven't watched it yet. Sorry to hear the editing is piss-poor. We were distributing samplers of the audio from the DVD, and I thought "Sunday" especially was just amazing. I'm looking forward to watching it.

Too bad we didn't capture the lollipop in the eye from later on. Then people would certainly be lining up to buy the damned DVD!

Who plays piano on "Aladdin Sane"?

I asked the same thing over at Teenage Wildlife.

The songs themselves are fantastic. But the black and white effects make me shudder. And do I really want to see Dorsey playing her bass constantly? F*ck no, I want to see Bowie.
