Uh, I am a bit worried about posting what is probably a very stupid question but hopefully some kind, computer savey soul will take pity on me. I got the Atlantic City 2004 cd today in the mail, Mac of course, and for some reason, all thirteen tracks are burned onto the cd as TRACK ONE. Therefore, you cannot listen to any individual songs without sitting through each one until it gets to the one you want. CD one has an hour and fifteen minutes on it in ONE TRACK. ugh. CD 2 is the same way, it says Track 2 and has the last half of the show all in that one track. So, I ripped TRACK one to my computer hoping I could see some way to separate out the individual songs so I could listen to just one if I want to. I also want to be able to email someone a specific track. (say Goodbye  ) I am not sure its even possible for me to change this now that the cd has been burned in this way but I am asking anyway. :D Can anyone help?
Why would anyone make a cd in this way? It makes it so difficult to listen to. I was in my car and every time I shut it off, I had to start with the Chain all over again, instead of picking up where I left off!

Hi Kelly,

Try download.com.... they have quite a selection of mp3 editing programs (http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?qt=mp3+editor&tg=dl-20&search.x=10&search.y=15) to choose from.
Some are free and some are free to try... so take a look around and see which one sounds like it will best suit your needs.

I use Audacity (http://www.download.com/Audacity/3000-2170_4-10325373.html?tag=lst-0-1), and I swear by it.

I'll warn you though... editing down a massive mp3 file like that, can be a time-consuming process. And be sure to save your work often, in case of a program crash!

Hi Kelly...sorry, I can't help you...if I could, your CD would have been tracked ;)...but I do want to offer an apology to you and everybody else who is driven crazy by my inability to sit and track these CD's individually (doing that drives ME crazy!)...and want to give some insight as to why this happens...I bought the equipment, snuck it in (often under wanding and other security measures)...went to many shows and was able to capture the magic...then I record them all and make CD's and get them sent out to others who pass on the good karma on to you and others so that we all can enjoy our band...and this does take time...if I tried to sit and track each show, not only would it take me until god knows when to get them out but the joy for me would be diminished...so as you all curse me when you want to jump to Sara and just hear that song...please try and be happy that the show exists at all for you to listen to...remember behind the bootlegger is just another fan wanting to share it with others...hey, YOU try it!...hope someone can help you and rock on!

Never a need to apologize, Torri... you've always done a wonderful service for Mac/Stevie fans with all of the shows you record and so generously share. :xoxo:

(By the way, it's been so long since we've talked... I miss hearing from you!)

Thanks JS!...I was just pursuing the 'hotties thread' and was drooling over your new pictures...I was thinking the same as Hayley (Hi H!)...I remembered the long hair...some of us are suckers for that look, you know...hmm...now that I've discovered I'm into women, should I be drooling?...lol...can't help it, Brian...you 'growed up' well...and are beautiful...then again, I knew that before I saw your picture :xoxo: ...and thanks for giving the link to Kelly and anyone else who wants to track the shows for themselves...also if anyone gets the full Camden show, please share...I was SO bummed I didn't get it!...and what a show it was!...sigh...

Poor Brian- we're both totally macking on him. HAA!! (Hi :) )

Torri, babe, I always love that your CDs aren't tracked, actually- I like making listening to them a whole experience. I don't like to skip around, I like to live with it. I've been working on some mix CDs for you for Christmas, but I want them to be perfect. Dunno why it'll matter, since it's all crap that *I* like :)

Anyhow, uh... JS is hot... uh... !

Actually I dont think I got this from you Torrie anyway. I certainly am not trying to sound ungrateful if I did. :sorry: I have the Camden show if you want it. I really wanted to send a specific song to someone and I cant figure out how to do it. Thanks Le Stew.

I actually have several of the shows you taped (Thank you!) and because of the untracked music I had to listen to 'em before I tracked (In DAO mode...Always!!!) the final version to be traded, And they always sound great!!!

I appreciate the tapers who record the shows (I just try to be a master of catergorizing the shows), And I would rather have a one track cd set instead of nothin' at all.

Many thanks to the ones who tape the shows and the ones who burn them into CDs. :blob2: :blob1:
Where would we be without them.

It goes without saying I would rather have any type of boot, than none at all. In recent weeks I have driven myself crazy transferring vhs tapes to dvd, Tusk Doc, Storytellers, BTM's, Going Home, all the TISL interviews.....all of which I have been trading with anyone who asks. :sorry: Its nice to have all that older stuff in dvd format but its alot of work and very time consuming......Sorry again if I sounded bitchy or ungrateful for the fans who tape shows....I have taped my share as well too and understand what a pain it can be. (during the Dance I actually brought my husband along JUST to tape....didnt bother doing it with the SYW shows. though  )

tell me about it, I spent a month transferring my original VHS collection to DVD-R, And except for 2 shows I finally finished 'em off...

So if anyone wants to trade just let me know, I have more rare DVD's on their way to me including a 3 DVD set of the Rumours 1977 Japanese/backstage tour footage & the much requested 2003 Cleveland SYW show.

Wow there is a 3 DVD set? I have a 2 DVD set.I also had that on VHS and I believe that there is more footage. I would also be interested in the Cleveland show. :blob1:
