Isn't it great the way Stevie's official site gets the news out to the fans first?
SNARF.
What the hell is the purpose of that site if not to keep fans abreast of what Stevie's up to?
It certainly isn't there for its intelligent commentary (the home page says "There is a good article about Brett Tuggle on the Yamaha website. You may recognize Brett from recent Fleetwood Mac and Stevie tours, where he played keyboards, organ and guitar").

Oh, Curtis! Now you've got me worried that she'll haul out that beast My Heart.
I'd like to see her do a simple and sweet version of "What A Wonderful World." Because no matter how cliched and cheesy it gets, it works.

DIANA KRALL
ANDREA BOCELLI
JOSS STONE
CYNDI LAUPER
PATTI LABELLE
CHRIS BOTTI
BAABA MAAL
POLYPHONIC SPREE
SONDRE LERCHE
MARTIN YATES

I looked around too before looking at the MMM site where it originated from, but found nothing. I think she's a late add to the show.. Just like Celine. It says on the Access Hollywod site that the list of performers was not final and was continuing to be updated.

Oh...I've wanted to go to Norway for the longest time. It's very beautiful there, albeit very cold. If only I could manage to sneak over there in two weeks...
Hm...I agree that she ought to perform an unusual song during this concert. "What A Wonderful World" would be divine.

I don't think Stevie will preform Landslide without Lindsey. It really can't be performed any other way. any solo version is a disaster. And it's not even about the Lindsey-Stevie Landslide romance whatever, it's just Landslide has to be just Stevie's lone voice and Lindsey's lone amazing guitar playing. Only he can play the song, only Stevie can sing it.

One thing's for sure, Nobels are the only way to get her perform in Norway. That country has been one of the least successful places for Fleetwood Mac in Europe. Still it's nothing when it comes to the land of the polar bears. ;)

I've always been pretty uncompromising on that one. Stubborn really.
I can forgive a lot of things within the relationship itself... being too busy to call, having to cancel a date, etc.... but if you break up with me, then don't think you're going to get a second chance to hurt me.
But that's just me... it's a defense mechanism. Other people have done the "second time around" thing, and it's worked out beautifully for them. So you never know.
I hope your "second time" is one of the ones that works out, and that he realizes what he has in you. :)

The Nobel Peace Concert supposedly aired on the E! channel on December 23 at 8:00pm. Did anyone catch it to see if Stevie performed? I'm assuming she cancelled since there's been zero press about her appearance. This is from Billboard online:
---
Performances from the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Concert will be broadcast Dec. 23 in the United States as a two-hour special on cable network E! Featuring Tony Bennett, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Botti, Diana Krall, Patti Labelle, Cyndi Lauper, Sondre Lerche, Baaba Maal, Polyphonic Spree, Joss Stone and Martin Yates, the Dec. 11 concert in Oslo, Norway, will be hosted by actor Tom Cruise and talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
The event is the second part of a two-day celebration honoring 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Wangari Maathai of Kenya. The first woman from Africa to receive the award, Maathai was selected by the Nobel Committee for her "contribution to sustainable development, democracy and peace."

I'm assuming she cancelled
I still say she never committed to doing this concert in the first place, therefore, she didn't "cancel" anything. And that's why it was never mentioned on the NicksFix :)
However, this was posted yesterday:
"According to the Dec 28th Hawaii Midweek, Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood were guests at a 50th birthday celebration at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea last week."

The Nobel Peace Concert supposedly aired on the E! channel on December 23 at 8:00pm. Did anyone catch it to see if Stevie performed? I'm assuming she cancelled since there's been zero press about her appearance. This is from Billboard online:
I thought Patti Labelle wiped up the floor, a truly astonishing performance, and Tom Cruise looked like an imbecile.

Second to Stevie and the Mac...Patti Labelle is my favorite person to see in concert. Just awe-inspiring.

If you saw Stevie in Hawaii, you'd get the aloha effect...wouldn't know if you were coming or going. ;)
