I really hope she brings back either Sorcerer or Fall From Grace on her next solo tour - those songs are too good not be dusted off one last time, and she's gotta represent TISL.
I'd also really like her to play at least one of her songs from SYW on her next solo tour (hopefully NOT SYW or Goodbye Baby... well, maybe Goodbye Baby).
Was No Spoken Word ever played after the Rock A Little tour?

I think she did NSW on the Street Angel tour. I had an mp3 of it floating around at one time. Not sure if I still do.

I'd like her to resurrect Bella Donna, which she almost did on the TISL tour, from what I heard. I agree about her doing Fall from Grace or Sorcerer on the next tour. POTU would work, too.
As far as something from SYW...I'd love for her to try Smile at You or Everybody Finds Out live. But, I won't hold my breath for those two.
I could go for B&TB, too. :)

She did No Spoken Word on all of the other side of the mirror tour too. It is such a rocker, but i dont think she could handle it vocally. Maybe with some different arrangement.
Id Love to see Alice, Two Kinds of Love, Bombay Sapphires, Blue Lamp, and Fall From Grace. Those are mostly longshots but i would LOVE it.
Running Through the Garden would rock. I Think Waddy or Carlos could tear it up on that one!

Yes, bring back the old songs -- ALL OF THEM. For the rest of Stevie's and the Mac's tours, I want rotating setlists.
Then can keep all of the songs they think they HAVE to play. Instead of just 2 or 3 rare songs every night of the tour, why not work up 9 or 10, and play 2 or 3 different ones at each show? They don't have to be PERFECT -- just passionate and emotional and maybe a little spontaneous.
The casual fans will still get what they want - the big hits they recognize, plus a few gems that maybe makes them take a look "at the other end of the chain" ;) . Plus, the devoted who follow them from city to city to city will basically get several very different shows.
This whole idea of theirs that, "We tried our new song 'XXX' one night, and it just didn't work very well..." is ludicrous, silly, and (if I dare say) lazy. Maybe it was just a lame crowd! Listen to the audience ... have a few "wildcard" songs that you throw in depending on how happy/stoned/sad/crazy/drunk the people are.
Imagine if they suddenly dropped the "Sisters of the Moon" bomb on a crowd as a surprise encore, and then the next night a surprise real marching band for "Tusk"? :blob1: :blob1: :blob1:

I agree, but would have to add Alice, Everyday, Bombay Sapphires, and Two Far from Texas to that list. UGH.

I didn't know she did Blue Lamp! I assume during the 1981 tour? Cool.
She should definitely bring back Bella Donna, and I loved Twisted live too. I love that song period.
You might also add Nightbird to the list, which she performed once on TV. I'd love to hear that.

Definately Nightbird. She's only done it once on SNL. I think it would be a great addition to the set list.

Didn't she do Nightbird on Solid Gold or some weird show, too? I could swear I used to have it saved (before my hard drive died taking 10 billion unbacked-up downloads with it...wah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Personally I thought No Spoken Word got way played out-a constant on RAL & OSOTM and some SA shows! Yikes-that song just seemed so ho hum to me. She always talks about playing the songs the crowd wants to hear, but I just dont see that. Especially on the OSOTM tour there were hardly any hits and a ton of new songs played. I would love to see If Anyone Falls or I Cant Wait resurrected or Nightbird or Bella Donna....all of which translate well live from what I've heard.
And the idea of switching the setlist around every night is something I've wished they do for years-I cant imagine how they wouldnt want to do the same. I think Stevie's stage fright is a large part of her lack of spontenaity-there is comfort in what we know like the back of our hands!
But damn-I would've peed my pants if she would've busted out with a SOTM encore at one of the SYW shows (but boots would be required and some spider-walking in them too, the orthopedic tennies WOULD NOT CUT IT!!)

I think for the next tour, she should revisit:
Blue Lamp
Sleeping Angel
Nightbird (good call, Curtis)
Rose Garden
Twisted
Planets Of The Universe
Sorcerer
Fall From Grace
Running Through The Garden

Yes, in addition to 'SNL,' she also performed "Nightbird" on 'Solid Gold.' She nailed it both times, in my opinion. :)

I vote for Twisted..my all time favorite song. LB would have to special guest though as the soundtrack version blows that box set one off the planet.
Both of their vocals on that soundtrack are just perfect.

I'd like her to put in the setlist again:
Fall From Grace
Nightbird
Bella Donna
Twisted
Planets Of The Universe
Sorcerer
It's Only Love
From SYW:
Smile At You
Illume (in a brand new acoustic version  )
Some other dream calls:
STORMS
Beauty And The Beast
That's alright
Space Needle (that of course would be on her next album :D )
Romy

You know Sorcerer will be the TISL song on her next tour...She played that song to DEATH! It was her 'Peacekeeper.' I would rather have Fall From Grace...or an amped up Planets of the Universe. I remember when reading the reviews of TISL, someone said Planets could be a concert staple, and I never thought it was done justice.
That being said...Blue Lamp is my vote. Anyone got an MP3 of a live version?

I'd like to hear Bella Donna again. It would be fun to hear If Anyone Falls again too. Planets didn't get the treatment it deserved. I'd like to hear Angel again too.

Stevie definitely needs to pull "Fall From Grace" back out next time around. "I Can't Wait" would be a nice surprise, too, but it'll never happen. :(

Especially on the OSOTM tour there were hardly any hits and a ton of new songs played.
Actually, she only did her traditional 4 new songs for this tour: Rooms on Fire, Alice, Whole Lotta Trouble, and Two Kinds of Love. I think the problem with this tour was that she only did 14 songs, 13 if you don't include Rhiannon since I don't think it was played all the time. Since she already had a number of hits, she needed to start playing more songs. Plus, she sort of kept in the more obscure songs and did leave out the hits. Beauty and the Beast and How Still My Love I think should have been replaced by that point, plus she should have put Gold Dust Woman to rest until 1997 (even though it's my favorite song). But really her only solo hits she did on that tour were Stand Back and Edge of 17 (unless you include HAEWAFY). AND, the set list was too mellow...pretty much only four uptempo songs -- Stand Back, Edge, No Spoken Word, and Outside the Rain.

Nixxxed mentioned a rotating setlist....
I dunno if I can deal with that. I get complexes already driving to shows, hoping none of the songs were cut. If they changed every night, I would die of a heart attack. You all know how painful it is to have songs dropped after a few shows. I would be standing there all upset if the set list I wanted to hear was not performed. I like it the same every night. :o

I agree taht Bella Donna and Blue Lamp should be brought back on. Another song that I LOVE live is Blue Denim , which she could pull off live, especially if she can rock out to the end (she did it as recentlly as the millenium tour).

Don't go see Tori Amos, then. You'll be dead! ;)
Tori performs a different show EVERY night of EVERY tour, often deviating from the printed setlists made up for each show. She'll just tell her band to take a break, talk to the audience a while, and then pound out whatever song (by whoever) happens to be running through her head at the time. And sometimes she'll just make stuff up on the bench, or play a song that she's been working on for her next album.
Take a look at this: http://www.hereinmyhead.com/sounds/sw.html
On her last tour, Tori performed nearly every song from her entire catalog -- album tracks, singles, her many many "bee-sides" -- plus covers and tons of improv and unreleased songs. :blob1:
Sure, there are times I've gone into one of her concerts hoping she'll play a certain song. But I promise you, upon leaving the venue, I've forgotten all about it, because I got to hear live versions of 4 or 5 songs I never even thought might be cool to see live. And I leave knowing that the show I saw was *special*.

I wish she would do Fireflies. I wonder why that song was such a passing thing...it's like The Chain part II (at least the lyrics have the same concept).

Insider (with Tom Petty, of course)"Blue Lamp" is pretty cool. That would be good to see live again, as well as "Kind of Woman," done on the '81 tour.
After Stevie's Wild Heart tour was finished, she was slated to headline a big festival in early 1984 at Anaheim Stadium in California, & then continue touring with Julian Lennon opening. That never happened, obviously -- I guess she got wrapped up in Hollywood high life & the start of the 3rd album -- but she was supposed to have added "Nightbird" to her set because it was a single about that time.

I would die if she did "Blue Lamp," ABSOLUTELY DIE!!!
"Fall From Grace" rocked from the TISL tour, hell, just to see that kind of raw emotion from Stevie again would be great.
I've always wanted to hear "Fireflies" live, I know it's a Mac song, but damn that would be amazing!!
