Alright, I can not be more excited about the DVDs coming out next week for the first 3 seasons!!
For those of you wanting them, be advised BestBuy is having a special promotion, that includes a bonus dvd:
"The exclusive DVD is called "Life Before Seinfeld ". It contains a featurette of interviews with the memorable characters from Seinfeld: George and Jerry's parents, Newman, Puddy, Uncle Leo, and more. "
I CANT WAIT!!!! :blob2: :blob2: :D

I know it. I can't wait! The Red Sox World Series DVD is also coming out that same day.
Alex, do you know if the Best Buy DVD comes when you buy either DVD set or do you have to buy the one that has all 3 seasons.
You know what sucks. I get paid on Wednesdays so I have to wait a day. :(

Am I the only one who thinks Seinfeld lost a lot of it's magic? It's so outdated (the sponge episode) and so emblazoned onto everyone's brain that it just isn't very funny anymore. But, I will admit, the "shrinkage" episode still makes me howl.

The series 1-3 boxset was released in the UK a couple of weeks ago. It is a very good transfer and each episode has things like "notes about nothing", a little behind the scenes featurette with comments from all the principle actors, deleted or extended scenes and the odd commentary too.
Go out and buy it ASAP! It's the best dvd release for ages...

Anyone get em?
Best Buy was sold out of the gift set. :( After standing in line for 20 minutes, I was able to get the manager to order me one online(it would be several hours before I'd be back at home to do so myself). So, hopefully one's on it's way to me. :woohoo: I stopped at Wally World on my way home, just to see if they had any. They had 3 left, but they were $10 more than BB($90), and, of course, you don't get the bonus disk that BB has. If the gift set is a limited edition, these could be worth $$ someday(if not now).

That's nothing - Borders in Buffalo ran out of the new Goo Goo Dolls live DVD cuz they only got 10 copies in. I overheard the manager calling the Rochester store and they got 100 copies in. WTF? The Goos are FROM Buffalo, the concert was FILMED here last July 4th - HELLO? Morons...
Seinfeld - seen 'em all about 5 timeseach, it's on literally 5 times a day here so no thanks. I still like them & all, but why buy the DVDs if you can watch it all the time for free, right?

WHY, OH, WHY DID YOU NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING?!!?!
I make out like a bandit on those Friday mornings every year. The trick is getting the flyers from all the stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, K-Mart, Wal Mart *shudder*, CompUSA, Penneys, Sears, whatever), going to just ONE of those stores that price matches and getting it all in one place. K-Mart, for example, is having a 5 for $20 sale on DVDs, including the first two Potter flicks. CompUSA is having any three MGM titles for $14.95.

there's no K-mart's in OKC anymore...They all closed shop when K-mart downsized, And besides having the "BestBuy bucks" from the recent McDonalds "Monopoly" game made the items we bought a steal
Besides, I HATE shopping the day after Thanksgiving, All that's around here is Wal-F__kin-Marts...And those stores will be overran with idiotic shoppers come Friday morning.

I've only gone once, 3 years ago. At WallyHell, they were LITERALLY lined to the END of the parking lot at 5:30AM. Waited almost an hour(freezing) to get into the store......there were no carts left.......20 minutes to get to the back of the store, through the sardines. It was INSANITY! I swore I'd never do it again......
(I need a new printer, and they've got a Lexmark for $28, but I'm trying to keeping repeating my promise to myself)

but to (Disgruntingly) shop at Wal-F__kin-Mart since they have nearly 40% of the retail market for the state of Oklahoma (At last count there's about 32 stores within a 100 mile drive of our house...With possibly 3 more stores on the way). I worked for a company who manufactured the shopping carts for Wal-Mart and I can tell you from experience THAT company is a CHEAP buying joke who puts profit over all...
If I dont have to stop at WallyWeird, I avoid it and would rather pay extra $$$ shopping elsewhere...But I do enjoy plowing their Unarco manufactured shopping carts with my car at any chance I can get

lol...yeah - I'm actually not in a huge hurry to get the Seinfeld DVDs but one day they'd be nice....
And yeah - I think I'm going to have to resort to getting a part time job in addition to my full-time job - just so that I'm not completely broke every month...plus I am stuck in a too-expensive apartment for a year - I don't want to leave yet because then I'll lose my security deposit....sucks...sucks sucks sucks  BUT = at least I do have a job and roof over my head - and my health...so really I shouldn't complain :o

  I really need to keep things in perspective like that - so when I start complaining (like above) I try to see the positive side of things...which is actually quite challenging for a born pessemist such as myself :D

pessimism, Especially at this time of the year...
Last year was especially hard with knowing there's a fact that the one person I share my so-called "Wonderful Life" with was ill and could have possibly died...But things have looked up the past few months since Deb's cancer is in remission, So while still a pessimist I do hold out that goods things await around the corner.
