I have no idea why I'm sitting here typing this. Friday at about 11 am after leaving school I was in a hellious car accident. I don't know why I'm alive, but I am. I was driving, about 55, roads were a little wet and a car stopped kinda suddenly in front of me, and I couldn't stop. I lost control went into the other lane, and got smashed by an 18 wheeler going 60 mph...

I have a broke nose...my whole body is seriously bruised, i have some cuts over my eye and his fender came in my truck and cut the back of my head.....it's amazing I'm alive seriously..

Please people slow down when the weather is rough. I have no vehicle now..it literally almost split my truck in half...

Thank God you are okay, Chris!! Hope you heal quickly!

People do need to slow down, for real, especially when the weather is bad.

BTW, what the frick kind of car did you have...because we all need to get one!

That's awful! I hope that you are feeling better very soon. Thankfully things were not a lot worse.

but hope you'll be alright.

I never worry about my driving ability (No tickets in 15+ years) but other numbnuts worry me when they think the 65MPH speed limit (75MPH on the turnpikes) is just WAY too slow and they can pass me in a no-pass section with other vehicles coming in the opposite direction.

I'm so happy you weren't any more seriously than you were! But make sure that they thoroughly check you out--do a full-body scan or whatever-sometimes injuries don't show up (even serious ones) until days later! I'd say that you've got some good forces surrounding you that protected you from harm!

Thanks for the concern everyone..it's greatly appreciated..ive just been relaxing ...going tomorrow, try to limp around a parking lot and get a used car hopefully

They did a CT scan...x rays and all that...they THOUGHT that i might have damaged the aorta going to the heart...but turned out luckily it was just separation showing up in the tests from the impact on my chest

Holy crap. Now that is some serious ****. It truly is a miracle you're alive, no doubt about it.

I almost got sideswiped by a big rig a few weeks ago and I saw my life flash before my eyes. I'm not that great of a driver and this is even more of a reminder of how quickly something can go wrong.

Thank God you're alive.

Chris, I'm so glad you're okay. My Mom was in an accident a little like that, and she wound up being okay because she was wearing her seatbelt like you were. Who knew they could be that valuable. They did a CT scan...x rays and all that...they THOUGHT that i might have damaged the aorta going to the heart...but turned out luckily it was just separation showing up in the tests from the impact on my chest

ChrisAnd I'm SO glad that was nothing but separation showing up!

Yikes! Those are some scary pics! You take care of yourself and get well soon! :xoxo:

I was in a rollover accident when I was 16 - and walked away. But, if you saw the vehicle, you would swear anyone in it was dead. Gives me flashbacks, looking at your pics!

Seatbelts save lives! Hang up and drive! Safety first! Etc., etc., etc.

wishing you a speed recovery

you could well have saved additional lives by not rear-ending the vehicle in front of you...exploding gas-tanks/etc...you put yourself on the line and were rewarded with your life...take good care

while this way sucks...good driving my man

godblessyou
