Someone posted this info on another board I figured that I would share.

Underscoring the facetious nature of their ongoing tour's title--Farewell I--the Eagles (news | tickets | CDs | auctions) return to the U.S. tour circuit early next year.

The classic-rock icons are due to launch the trek in South Carolina on March 5, and dates--which so far focus on the eastern U.S. and Canada--are set through mid April.
Tickets for a number of shows are scheduled to hit the box office in the coming days. Details are shown in the itinerary below.

In addition to regular ticket sales, the group is also offering VIP packages via ILoveAllAccess.com, a premium ticket service that was rolled out earlier this year for fellow Azoffmusic Management act Van Halen. Prices for the Eagles ticket packages range from $195 to $450 per ticket, and include a variety of perks. More information is posted at ILoveAllAccess.com.

Word of the 2005 tour and VIP ticket packages coincides with the launch of the band's new website, Eaglesband.com, and also heralds the demise of the band's official online fanclub, a short-lived endeavor launched last year with Yahoo.com.

The fanclub will be "permanently discontinued" on Dec. 10, according to a message posted at the site, which also contains refund information.

The Eagles' most recent release is last year's "Eagles -- The Very Best Of." The 33-track, two-disc set features hits such as "Hotel California," "The Best of My Love," "Heartache Tonight," and "Life in the Fast Lane." Also included is a new single titled "Hole in the World," as well as "Please Come Home for Christmas," which was previously available only as a commercial single.

No word on when an expected new studio album--the group's first since 1979's "The Long Run"--might surface.

The Eagles' "Farewell I" tour kicked off in mid-2003. The group's lineup currently consists of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit.

Backing the quartet on tour are drummer Scott Crago, saxophonist Christian Mostert, and keyboardists Will Hollis and Michael Thompson.

Over the course of their three-decade career, The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, and have garnered four No. 1 U.S. singles and four Grammy awards, according to the group's publicist. Their hits compilation, "Greatest Hits 1971-1975," which has sold over 27 million copies, is the top-selling album of all time in the U.S.

The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

Our old friend Scotty Crago on drums! I had forgot until now that Stevie's former drummer & pal from the Los Angeles music scene joined the Eagles as drummer several years ago.

Also, all you archivists, didn't Michael Thompson lay down some tracks at some point for a Stevie Nicks album?

Packages? Jesus, I hate to see what their actual non-package ticket prices will be and where you'll be sitting if you purchased them. I wonder if their perks consist of the same perks the fabulous FM fanclub had to offer.

Anyone here seen the Eagles recently? I am hoping to go to the Providence show on March 19th. Hey at least they are coming to Providence.
I would love to know what they are like and if you were able to get good seats. I also would like to take my camera so that I can get pictures. Does the band allow cameras?

Believe it or not the Eagles were offering club level seats for $25.00 in Atlanta. Those seats sold out of course.

I don't know about the rest of the band but Henley? So NOT a fan of cameras. I remember him flipping out at A Day In The Garden because people were taking pictures. They started confiscating cameras. Stevie, of course, didn't mind at all.

WTH is the problem with people not wanting their picture taken? I realize people sell the photos on Ebay and stuff, but good gravy....get a grip.

Don't worry...we all got a big charge of the fact that people behind us kept interrupting his set with tourett's like behavior screaming "CORNFIELD! BEER!" every 5 seconds during End of the Innocence

I saw them in May 2003 a month before I saw the Mac for the first time. I really wasnt too impressed. Their live stuff now just seems to be catered for 50 year old women. The only time people stood was at the encore. It was really sad. Lindsey has more energy than all of them combined.

HOWEVER, Given all that, the music was still good, just a little tamer. I'dd go again, but probably not in the 175 dollar seats i was in last time.
