View Full Version : John's Q&A is over.....

He's a busy man lately, and he wants to wrap it up for now. I had a feeling that was coming. He said he really did enjoy it, and that maybe he'll get back to it "when his life settles down a bit". So who knows...maybe there will be more from him one day-- but he does have a life (and a boat! ) and he certainly deserves to relax and enjoy himself doing whatever he darn well pleases. He's aware there are *many* more questions available if he ever wants to do a few more! ;)
I'll say again how thrilled we are that this Q&A happened, and for all the enthusiasm and participation. He had wonderful answers for many of your terrific questions. I'll admit I am still in mourning for the stuff that was lost during the 'disappearing reply' fiasco; that was several days wasted and some great ?'s (and I'm sure, great answers) that just vanished. I wish I had figured it out sooner, and I apologize for that. I just really didn't want to be a pain in the *ss. :(
But that's in the past so I guess I should let it go. ;)
I did tell him that although all our Q&A's have been interesting, in a few of them the guest's personality really came shining through clear as day, and his was most definitely one of those. He's never been a big one for interviews, so to have his thoughts here at the Penguin for all eternity is IMO a pretty cool gift.
Now that I have made myself get all emotional, I will shut up. Thanks everyone, most of all to John. :xoxo:

Thanks to all who expressed their gratitude. It was like a big ol' dream to have had that Q&A happen and I'm so glad everyone enjoyed it. Find me somewhere else in the world where John McVie answers 52 questions. Doesn't exist. Ha. :] I'm proud of our site.

Thanks for having the John Q an A-I loved every minute of it-it's probably the closest I'll ever get to meeting members of the band that I love so much. John is a sweetheart to do it.

Can I tell you all I am still stewing about this LOL? I need some serious therapy. Some of the lost ?'s off the top of my head-- what did he remember about the Mystery to Me sessions/Rolling Stone mobile unit. Was his family musical/supportive of his job choice. What led him to start playing bass. What was his reaction to Mick's book. What was it like going in to record Mirage after the success of Stevie's solo career. All the answers to those-- and a few more-- all of which he typed not once but *twice*-- are lost in nowhere-land. Is this enough to make me crazy?!
Ya'll remember those days at the beginning when we were anxiously waiting for more answers? He was sitting there waiting for questions, probably wondering what was up w/ my lazy *ss. I thought he was just taking his time etc so i didn't say a word --but that was like a full WEEK when he was raring to go, that was SO completely wasted!!!!! My torment never ends. I really need to get over it already, but just when I think I have let it go, I get all annoyed by it all over again.
