It's true, though. I've no use for a person who has no sense of humor. If they can't laugh at life, f*ck 'em because they sure as hell are living a miserable life and I won't be wasting my precious time on them. ;)

Me, too. I usually just say "forget it" and lose interest in the person fairly quickly.

I used these song lyrics as my philosophy when people started to get on my nerves and when they became an annoyance with sticking their noses in a place they had no business sticking it:
"Just cause you don't understand
what's going on don't mean it don't make no sense
And just cause you don't like it,
don't mean it ain't no good
And let me tell you something
Before you go taking a walk in my world
you better take a look at the real world
Cause this ain't no Mister Roger's Neighborhood
Can you say "feel like ****?"
Yea maybe sometimes I do feel like ****
I ain't happy 'bout it, but I'd rather feel like **** than be full of ****!
And if I offended you, oh I'm sorry
But maybe you need to be offended
But here's my apology and one more thing...f**k you!
Cause you can't bring me down!"-"You Can't Bring Me Down" by Suicidal Tendencies

'You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see!
I would like the pleasure of your company,
So won't you do the Jailhouse Rock with me?' "

Thanks... it's a slight paraphrase of an Andre Gide quote, that I adopted as my personal philosophy a few years back. :)
Look him up sometime... he was actually a pretty wise man (and a Nobel Prize winner!).

Here are a few words to live by:
"Life is too important to be taken seriously." by Oscar Wilde
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." by Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you." by Ralph Waldo Emerson
Emerson is my favorite! I just love his work.

I'm not sure I can define these phrases my philosophy, but I've always found them pretty useful:
Clarity of ideas, perspicacity, firmness and patience under adversity (Pirandello)
Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? (Hannibal Lecter's summary of Marcus Aurelius)
A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. (G.B Shaw)
