 You mean anything besides not freezing our asses off, and being able to still do any kind of outdoor activity without it being a pain in the ass?
Actually, what can't we do in this weather? Except, play with snow.

um, Justin, what is this "summertime" you speak of? I know i didn't have one, do you get something we don't 20 miles (or however far it is) away? As far as i'm concerned, it's barely spring here during those months. 72 degrees?! Come on, we weren't exactly suffering through heat stroke...

Gee, this is probably not the time to mention that I'm on vacation. I'm on Hilton Head Island and it was 75 degrees today. Sadly, it was mostly cloudy and we did have a little rain. Now it's supposed to turn "cold"--high's only in the mid to upper 60's tomorrow. Still, beats the hell out of snow any day! :)

Give me school cancellation snow or Christmas snow sister. Anything else is just shovelling time. I do love the snow as I'm an avid skier, but little storms like this are more upsetting than anything else.

even 25 degrees is not that bad...Guess cause here in Oklahoma we have 25 degrees temp with North winds gusting about 20-30 MPH most winter nights which make it possible to imagine what the hell an eskimo feels! (Its current 48 with winds blowing 13MPH)

What's not really known, But is scientifically proven is that Chicago is NOT the "windy city" (aka-The city with the highest average of blowing wind) as most are led to believed...OKC average more wind over Chicago by 2 MPH, And the whole state of Oklahoma is #1 in windy days per year over the rest of the US.

Matter of fact a "wind farm" was just built 15 miles South of our home to use the natural force of wind for purposes of energy (There's about 30-35 100 foot tall "Windmills" along prairie land.)

ranchers/farmers here love to chop ANY type of vegatation down so they can more precious acreage to work, But then they wonder why the droughts seem to get worse each & every year (Summer this year was not as extreme as the usual, But it also was not a wet summer)...They have no one to blame but themselves if ya ask me.

I don't think I'll ever forget last year's disgusting amount of below zero days. How often do you get days off for the cold? Honestly, we risked frostbite changing classes from building to building and whatnot. Screw the cold, bring on the snow.

It gets down to there and we're all running for our jackets and sitting in class saying, "It's so cold out there!" I can remember it being around 30 degrees a few times last winter and people didn't know what to do. And I've only seen snow twice in my life. If y'all could just have a little bit of what we're having, and we could have a little bit more of what y'all are having...well it doesn't work that way.

What cracks me up is hearing about places that usually don't get snow getting something like a half an inch. All the sudden, it's "oh ****! close all the roads! Declare it a disaster area!" I realize that most people in those areas don't know how to drive in it though.... Well, I don't know if this will make you feel any better but South Carolina gets miserable summers. Months of highs in the 90's with wretched humidity and king-sized mosquitoes and gnats and fire ants (which I'm allergic too). And then there's hurricane season. Yeah, that's a lot of fun--esp. this last year when I swear there was one every other week. And then the summertime heat can produce horrible thunderstorms which in turn can spawn tornadoes. My house has now been hit by lightning four times. I've lost count of the fried telephones, phones, and other electronic equipment that have been "killed". Hell, last year it fried the circuits to my garage door opener. And snow is not unknown in these parts either--although for us, it's a once every couple of years occurance, and even then, it's only going to be a couple of inches, if that. Ice storms are a little more common and much hated since they usually mean massive power outages. Anyway, I guess there are trade-offs wherever you live at.

This past Valentines Day, we got TWO inches of snow here in Fort Worth. I woke up that morning pretty early and when I looked outside... . It's just EXTREMELY rare for it to snow in North Texas, let alone two freakin' inches! LOL

I know that people up north hate it or aren't that excited when it happens, but if you don't get snow often, it's really an awesome thing. When it snows here, about 15 minutes of the news is just talking about snow.

I love when it snows, it's just a very spiritual thing to me. It's so quiet, breathtaking, really. :)

I realize some of us who are used to it take it for granted. The first couple of snows are pretty cool, after that, it's more of a burden. After driving in it for 3 months it sucks. I can see where it's facinating to get it where it usually dosent' snow though.
