Been a very entertaining show tonite with not a single lip sync in site. One thing that I always liked from the country community, "If ya cant pick up a guitar and strum along and sing yer songs live then you ARE NOT a musician"

Just awaiting to see Keith Urban play live...

Yeah. You can definately tell with her. Her back up band sucks at faking it. I've seen her sing live once or twice, but not often.

I think she was singing (softly) to a vocal track. Dayum, Billy Currington is hot. *fans self*

Keith is hotter tho. Hee!

I'm no Kenny Chesney fan, but let the man give his friggin speech! Sheebus, they were telling presenters to stretch earlier, then, they cut the Entertainer of the Year off...that's not right.

they're punishing him for not knowing the lyrics to "Hey Hey Good Lookin'"...Dude needs to learn the lyrics to classic country songs so he will quit looking like an ass when singin'

I saw on the forum of KeithUrban.net that WVIK was interviewing the winners...And they played a snippet of SYHA??? Damn, that had to be cool as hell to hear on a country flag-ship station.

Kinda funny but I heard "Rhiannon" in a country-esqe retail store today...So who knows, Maybe FM has found a new audience

I have always thought SYHA had a little bit of country to it. AND - Stevie clearly has country running through her (garden  ) with sounds like After the Glitter Fades, That's Alright, Rose Garden, etc.

I love Shania but that new song of hers S U C K S ! ! !

I love Martina but her song, Reba's, and then George Straight's about put me to sleep.

GO GRETCHEN WILSON!!!!!!!! She rocks. I thought it was so kickass when right before they announced her as the Horizon winner, everyone was screaming her name:) bc they knew she deserved it. Brought back warm memories when Tina swept the 85 Grammys and people were screaming Tina before each envelope was opened. I didnt really care for Gretchen's slow #, but shes still the s&it. Shes been coveing Heart's Straight On in concert lately. What would be a good Stevie song for her? How about Talk To Me or Listen To The Rain, Viloet & Blue, Stop Draggin......

Oh yeah Terri Clark rocked too. I love Girls Lie Too, esp live!! As much as I love Martina, 4 CMA Female Vocalist wins are enough for now. Would of loved to have seen the wealth shared and let Terri or Sara Evans win.

I don't think that was the first time... I heard MG did an event for Sony corporate several months ago and she was there.

Still happy about Gretchen's win! Yay!

I don't like to be rude, but to all the haters who think Keith didn't deserve that award...

kiss it.

That is all.

Have a nice day. :)

P.S. This post not directed to any posts here, but elsewhere, which is kinda stupid, but just thought I'd hit all the boards. LOL

attention, But I did notice the blonde female/dark haired male BG singers. Bekka sing's background vocals on Montgomery Gentry's newest album "You Do Your Thing"...MG did not have backing vocalists on tour when they played at Ft.Sill back in July (Great show!!!) but I have heard that Bekka Bramlett may be touring with MG to help fill out the backing vocals.

Kinda funny, They (MG) should've played "She Loved Me" with it's obvious Fleetwood Mac lyric appreciative nod instead of "Gone":

"Twin guitars & Twenty minute jams,
'TUSK', 'Cocaine' and 'Sweet Home Alabam'
I know I had her in the palm of my hand
When I stepped into the spotlight..."

"MG should've won instead of B&D"

I was convinced that BIG & RICH were going to win this year. I think even B&D thought B&R were going to win, too.

It was a tough year...we had two or three favorites nominated in the same category in almost every category.
