The Waterboy.............

Can anyone do worse? (Yes I think Waterboy was even worse than spiceworld)

My roommate and I used to make a game out of renting terrible movies and trying to outdo each other's selections for the worst movie of all time. Most of these movies split up into three categories with a few terrible movies tht are actually entertaining because of how bad they are:

1.) Mainstream release that is just so stupid you can't believe people actually got paid to work on it (THE WINNER for me: Biodome)

2. Indie film that is so bad and contrived it actually is hysterically funny. (THE WINNER for me: Deathstalker)

3. Indie film or mainstream film that rambles for an incredibly long time never really managing to be entertaining. A very boring movie (THE WINNER for me: Mindfield with The Keep coming in a close second)

In the last years I couldn't stand (not in a particular order):

Dances With The Wolves :sorry:
Titanic
Battlefield Earth: A Saga Of The Year
The English Patient
A Perfect Murder (Remake)
Striptease
Body Of Evidence
Con Air
Never Talk To Strangers
Pearl Harbor
Air Force One
15 Minutes
8 MM
Batman & Robin
Captain Corelli's Mandolin
Dr. T & The Women
The Blackout
Femme Fatale
G.I Jane
The Next Best Thing
Armageddon
Irréversible
Cold Mountain
Troy
The truth About Charlie and The Manchurian Candidate (remakes): I'd like to kick Jonathan Demme' s bottom for the way he mistreated two classics

ahem... I'd better stop :o

I just saw 9 1/2 Weeks a couple of months ago for the first time and was amazed to see that there was a point in time in which Mickey Rourke was HOT- really, TRULY HOT.

I remember seeing Kazaam or Shazaam or some name like that with Shaquille O'Neal is a genie with my mom and brother. She won free passes. The worst movie I've ever seen, by far. Daredevil, too. That was horrible for me because I love the Jennifer Garner, but wanted to slit my throat through the film, which is never a good sign.

Batman and Robin - it was awful...
Spaced Invaders (the first movie I ever walked out on) -HORRID

I know there must be more - but those two stick out in my mind as the worst movies I've seen

But I like alot of dude movies, so...LOL

Titanic was alright and Dances with Wolves was okay. I've seen parts of Pearl Harbour, the attack scenes made me cry a little...and Armaggedon too, but Deep Impact made me seriously bawl. LOL The rest on your list, Serrart, I've not seen.

I'm also going to vote for Julia Roberts movies, specifically, one that should have been funny but wasn't. The one with John Cusack, her, Billy Crystal, and Cathering Zeta Jones. man, that sucked

1.) Mainstream release that is just so stupid you can't believe people actually got paid to work on it (THE WINNER for me: Biodome)"End of Days" fits the bill nicely there.

I don't count abominably bad movies that strike one as entertaining because the dialog is filled with howlers or the FX are skinflint-cheap (movies like Ed Wood's "Plan 9 from Outer Space" & Phil Turner's "Robot Monster" are examples).

The intolerance for Con Air, Pearl Harbor and Armageddon is caused by my Jerry Bruckheimer Syndrome. With almost every movie he produces (a couple like Black Hawk Down were very good), after the first ten minutes of slow motion, plastified cinematography, loud soundtrack and dumb acting I start to stare at the emergency exit.

I think the same, everything is so badly decadent in Showgirls, that you can almost find in it a satiric dignity. Plus, Gina Gershon has a great "All about Eve on acid" final scene.
