View Full Version : Prostitution... why still exist?

I just read this in another website:

Prostitution...I wonder why that still exist?
is it because guys don't want to put the effort to romance a nice girl?
or is it because of the stereotype: a nice girl cannot do the same things as a prostitute?
either way, prostitution is just wrong and people who support it are even more wrong: women are treated badly and without respect purely for men's pleasure. wrong! wrong! wrong!

I think it's because people still find bad to do a "casual" sex. They found it (specially women) undecent. So boys who just want sex, pay for it. MAybe a too simple explanation, perhaps it's more comple, but I think it's the most common reason

And... are women treated badly? Not always, I think. There are many levels and kind of prostitution.

And.. don't forget there are not only female prostitutes.

The real question, at least for America, is, why is it still illegal? There always has been and always will be prostitution, and if it were legal, we could collect taxes from the people who do it, run it, etc. That would be great. Plus, then it could be regulated better. JMO

I don't understand why it's not legalized either. I mean, God gave us the right to choose our actions/consequences, even if we make the wrong ones. I don't think it's right, but I'm not gonna do it...if other people wanna risk their health, then that's their choice.

The police need to focus on murderers and child molesters, kidnappers, violent criminals, etc...and quit baiting prostitutes.

Oh, you mean cause they won't enjoy it unless it's illegal and they have to pay for it! yeah, that makes sense...

No, I mean that no one would want to hop in bed with them unless they were getting paid for it. For some reason, I don't think many women are chomping at the bit to hop into the sack with the likes of Rick "Man-Dog Sex" Santorum, Antonin Scalia, and Ann Coulter. Those men are a scary lot.

Since when do the Republicans care what's legal or not?

Republicans don't want their women to speak or have much for brains (they've repeatedy said that if they were married to Teresa Heinz, they would put a muzzle on her), they enjoy the company of little children, and they love to receive love from dirty prostitutes. Why else do you think they were so worried that liberal, AIDS-ridden hookers would infiltrate New York during the RNC to give them the disease? They actually believed that!

Oh stop. Jeeze. You make it sound like every Republican should rot in hell for being...well, not liberal enough. Like i'm sure only Republicans have paid for sex

Hell, If I were married to Teresa, i'd put a muzzle on her too. She doesn't think before she speaks in public. That's not to say she's not a brilliant woman because I know she is...how else does one get a job at the UN, speak 5 languages, etc. However, I think she should speak a little less and think a little more. Perhaps more people would like her if she did.

Ah...but then I remember...i'm talking to you...and suddenly, the world is in balance again. You do make me laugh ;)

They don't. I was saying in my post that it should be legal, then you said "but then how would repubs get their sex?" so that's why I thought you meant they wanted it to be illegal...see?
oh, nevermind.

What's the difference between girls who accept cash to do it, and girls who only want the meal and a movie? Sounds like two consenting adults barter exchanging, yet one is legal and one isn't. Just don't get it.

Yep...we have a choice: either we pay for it, or we pay for it.;)

I haven't read any of the other threads this morning, and as soon as I saw the header I knew the answer to your question...money. The answer is money. Many years ago, my brother made $1000 in one night. He was at a point so low he had nowhere to turn to get money, so that's what he did. He sold his body for cash.

They should. :p

No, they're just the only ones stupid enough to get caught. With hookers and kids. AND - they're the ones obsessed with it when it comes to policy decisions. I know you're a Repub, darling, but you can't deny that you are affiliated with people who endlessly talk about man-dog relationships, gay sex being against God, and want to institute anti-sodomy laws in every state.

Hell, If I were married to Teresa, i'd put a muzzle on her too. She doesn't think before she speaks in public. I think she thinks before she speaks. Methinks that the stuff she says is just shocking to most people because they're so used to the canned and homogenized lines that politicians and their spouses spew every day of the year. ;) She speaks her mind in an eloquent way and I dig it; it makes her seem more human. I talked to her over a year and a half ago in Boston and she asked me how her hair color looked. Unfortunately, most men feel threatened by women like her and other women look down on her because she has a big set of brass balls. They did the same thing with Hillary. Of course Teresa and Hillary are going to look like Femi-Nazi's next to the likes of Pickles Bush (because we all know that she's such an eloquent and smart speaker  ); they have brains and mouths and they know how to use both.

Ah...but then I remember...i'm talking to you...and suddenly, the world is in balance again. You do make me laugh ;)

I'm glad for that. ;) Anyone who can speak the truth AND make someone laugh at the same time is one blessed individual.

This made me laugh. Next time you take a girl to dinner and a movie, ask her. And please, fill me in on what happens.

"during the summer of 1996, Sinclair CEO David Smith was arrested in Baltimore for picking up a prostitute who performed what police called an "unnatural and perverted sex act" on him as he drove on the highway in a company-owned Mercedes. Smith was convicted of a misdemeanor sex offense."

I guess if you read my original post the wrong way it does come off bad. ;) Not my intention, just trying to make a point.
