Yes, this will be quite a playoff series! I guess that you can figure out which team I am a fan of huh?
Brian lets just say I have seen a T-shirt that reads" I support 2 teams the Red Sox and any team that beats the Yankees". That is putting it mildly in my opinion.
The Red Sox are not doing well right now tonight so I am not too hopefully. :(

6-0 going into the top of the 4th isnt that bad a score, The Red Sox offense could make that up easily, It just remains to be seen...
Btw, I have to pull for the Yanks, Any team that sent the Atlanta Braves packing in a World Series (Or the NL playoffs, Which is a yearly thing nowadays, LOL!!!) are fine in my eyes...
If the BoSox make the World Series they better not have a 1986 type of collapse (ie-Bill Buckner!!!) as they did against the NY Mets.

Yes, they do. It was renovated a few years back and is really nice from what I have heard. I have yet to see a game there since, however. I know that in years past there used to be a game where the Boston Red Sox came down to play them in Pawtucket. It is nearly impossible to get a ticket to that game.

The same is here in Rhode Island. It is crazy all over most of New England. I went to the mall to pay bills yesterday evening and people were watching the game on the big screen TV. At a computer store and a camera store I went to everyone was a buzz with the game info.
The funniest story happened when I was on the train from Providence to New York the Friday of Columbus weekend. I was calling my poor Dad about every 5 minutes to find out what was going on in the Anaheim/Boston game. The whole car was a buzz with what was going on with this game.
I just happened to call Dad right as Ortiz hit the game winning home run. I kind of yelling with delight at my friend who was sitting in the row opposite and the whole car heard and went wild. I had announced to that whole car that the Sox were in playoffs before anyone else knew!
This past Saturday I went to Boston with some friends and the city was wild with Sox fever. I did not go near Kenmore Square but I did not need to because the energy was all over.
We left at 8:50PM anyway.
I have heard that there were many fans at the Patriots game in Foxboro on Sunday that headed right for Fenway after the Pats game. I guess maybe they brought with them some good luck.

What an amazing night! Peter Gammons said something to the effect that Game 7 is the "most anticipated game in baseball history." Schilling is a deity, A-Rod is a dirty, cheating loser, Yankees fans needed a SWAT team, and Bellhorn finally hit something. I'm still having a hard time believing it. Felicitous. Absolutely glorious.
I also don't care if the Red Sox win the World Series. If they win tonight, it will be the peak moment of my short life so far.

some red sox fans, like yourself, have your priorities mixed up. the world series title is what ultimately matters. in my mind....winning game 7 would help with future yankee relations but it wouldnt change the fact that we havent won a world series title since 1918. thats whats most important.
i wantto be able to say in 2 weeks.....we are world champions....wouldnt that feel better than saying ...we beat the yankees!!! but couldnt win the world series.....thats just lame.

Yankee relations? The same "Who's your daddy?" Yankees? I love the rivalry. It makes the game that much more interesting.
thats whats most important.
Sure it is, but most people up here would like to see this comeback take place first. Then we can worry about the World Series.
i wantto be able to say in 2 weeks.....we are world champions....wouldnt that feel better than saying ...we beat the yankees!!! but couldnt win the world series.....thats just lame.
Well obviously I want to say that! Any Red Sox fan wants to say that! Nevertheless, I was not alive for the '86 World Series and I watched as Aaron Boone hit that home run and crushed my dream last year. As a player myself, I look to win one game at a time. One after another. Right now, my priority is a win tonight, and even if they lose in the World Series, it's still a comeback for the ages. If we make it that far, believe me, I'll be rooting as loud as anyone!

the Yanks DADDY??? A grand slam and now a 2 run shot...8-1 in the 4th and the sails have been taken outta the NY crowd, Tsk, tsk, tsk!
I think the BoSox will make it to the World Series this year...But they better pray for the Astros cause the Cards offense (Albert "MVP" Pujols, Larry Walker & Jim Edmonds) will eat any American League pitching just like they have done all season long in the National League Central.
