I LOVE Lost. I really wish they'd aired the two parts of the pilot together, though, instead of on consecutive weeks- they aired them together on Saturday, and it worked so much better.

I want to see more about Terry O'Quinn's character (the orange guy). And find out about Kate. And did you notice that last night they sort of completely ignored talking about the POLAR BEAR? I mean, that's insane.

I really like this show- JJ's done an amazing job. I just hope it won't be a total letdown when we find out what's in the jungle.

I noticed a couple of things last night. One was sort of an ode to The Fugitive--you know Kate was being chased by a Bounty Hunter of sorts, and the guy who turned her in was----the one-armed man. I think that may have been an inside joke. I heard one person say, "It wasn't a Dinosaur." And I know that JJ has said it's not a dinosaur either. So it's racking my brain trying to figure it out. I think it was more of a "If we don't talk about it, we don't have to deal with it" kinda thing. And I liked the conversation about how they all died the day the plane crashed. There's been some speculation that we'll find out that they really are all dead and are in some sort of limbo--I find that notion really far-fetched but one thing's for sure-there's plenty to keep us talking about this show, if it can just manage to get good ratings and stay on the air!

So what's the deal with the dude in the suit that the doctor kept seeing? And what's up with Locke? First he had the phone call about the "mission," then later he's on the phone with a phone sex chick? I'm loving this show, but I don't want to have to wait 'till next week!!

Jack's (the doctor) hallucinating. Supposedly, next week will finally be a little bit about his backstory and what's going on with him.

The revelation about Locke was awesome. GO JJ. The last crap season of Alias was almost worth it to get Lost... but not quite. It really is completely compelling to see these people start over in these new lives, where they can be whoever or whatever they want to be. It's fascinating. Last night's miracle of Locke being able to walk again makes me start to put a little more credence to the "limbo" theory.

GREAT episode with Locke's character and all. Sawyer, good GRIEF, he is just mmmm....love his sarcasm, the stubble, his attitude, "Right behind you, jacka$$." BWAH!! Can't wait to see his backstory!!!!

Yep--I had the same thought about Sawyer--that I couldn't wait to find out what his story was. I read something in TV Guide or Entertainment Weekly that said don't get too attached to any of the characters-that there will be more deaths as the series progresses.

Based on next week's episode description, it sounded to me like Jack was hallucinating- it says he's dealing with living dreams due to a lack of sleep since the crash, and said something about whatever it was that brought him to Australia in the first place has something to do with it.

I don't think Sawyer's hot yet because he's been such a dick, and I tend to not like guys who are dicks no matter how hot they are.

Tonight was amazing!! "Sawyer" not being Sawyer, threw me for a loop, the letter did too. I gotta watch the ep again tomorrow, there was so much going on, and my dad was talking to me, I think I missed some dialogue.

I'm looking forward to more development with the Charlie/Claire relationship. I think the only character left whose backstory I'm that interested in is Hurley, though.

Every week just keeps getting more intense! I haven't been this excited about a TV show since....I can't even remember when...perhaps when I became an X-Phile.

To be honest, I'm most interested in the dynamic between the Korean woman and the father (their names escape me, there are too many characters :laugh: ). I think there is some potential for greatness with that "dynamic."

Can't say I'm a Sawyer fan, he's a rather despicable character. I hope they flesh him out a bit more, because as hard as they tried last night, he still came off as pretty one-dimensional.

Charlie and Claire were so cute last night with the peanut butter. It will be interesting to find out more about Claire's backstory. I am completely hooked on this show!!!!!

Sawyer and Locke are the most intriguing characters. Mysterious...LOVE IT! I wanna know why Sawyer was in Australia, why he was coming back to the US, who raised him after his parents died, was he an only child, adopted, raised by family?

Diss- I'm SO FREAKING excited for Alias, and the two-hour premiere. They've brought on some new writers to the staff for this season, and I'm just praying they're going to bring it out of the suckitude that was the third season. A lot of this year is supposed to focus on Jack and Sloane, and their backstory. I'm always happy with more SpyDaddy. If they don't somehow redeem Sark, though, I might just be out. He's the love of my TV life, and they better fix what they f-ed up last year. I love seeing the Alias promo everywhere... I hate that Kravitz song, but Jennifer looks so hot. I have such a girl crush on her.

Stewy, you like Boone? He drives me nuts (God's gift to humanity...snark!). One of the girls I work with loves him too, and I just don't get it. He's got gorgeous eyes, but something about his facial structure sort of repels me... lolol. Aren't I sweet. I guess I'm a Sawyer girl, though I normally don't go for that kind of beefcake-yness.

I guess I'm the only person who really likes Dominic Monaghan's character...Maybe it's just because I've been watching that guy act for about five years, in British mysteries and films; he's always been very watchable and by now he's really grown as an actor. :cool:

I love Charlie. I thought it was cheap they didn't kill him last week, but I was still so relieved he was going to stick around. I actually started to sob when they showed him hanging. Because I'm a big, big baby.

ETA: I still laugh (loudly) every day when I load televisionwithoutpity and the Lost recap for last week says "Hey, Charlie, what's up?- Oh, you know. Just hangin'."

I've read articles w/ J.J. where he's talking about the quality of last season and says that he was so busy with getting Lost off the ground that he didn't even realize exactly what had happened to the show and that he was going to be more hands on this year to make sure the show got back on track.

They're supposed to be killing off a "main" character this year, and all speculation points to Irina. I hope it is- I LOVE Lena Olin, but not having her on the show is just stupid. I hope SpyDaddy goes ballistic.

And Jennifer's bangs are TOTALLY hot. Syd looks so much more dangerous and sexy with them, instead of that boring blandness. I want Syd to just get dark for once. The Julia Thorne thing was a total lost opportunity- Syd's a ****ing Derevko, you know? She's got badass-ness bred into her with her SpyFamily genetics.

That is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It makes no sense. The plot is horrid (if there was one). I rented it one evening and didn't even finish it. Ian was pretty good in it though. VanderGeek sucked ass.

It's terrible. He was the only good thing in it. VanderGeek has such a big head that I get distracted by it too easily. And I don't buy him playing straight males, he's a Mary if I've ever seen one. ;) The bit with Swoosie Kurtz and Faye Dunaway was quite good, though.

And Bret Easton Ellis is possibly one of the worst writers to ever be published, let alone have his works adapted for film.

They... uh... just showed Syd doing a tequila shot and sucking a lime out of Sark's mouth on a mission. I've been slow mo-ing it for the last half hour while fanning myself. I think I'm literally going to die. But first I need to change my underwear, because I probably just peed myself a little.

Um, back to Lost. I really enjoyed seeing Walkabout again- the episode about Locke. This has been my absolute favorite out of all of the episodes. I still remember my jaw dropping with the wheelchair reveal.

I predict for it to be cancelled after 2-3 seasons. There's only so much story line for ppl stranded on an island todo that Gilligan hasn't already done. They are already stretching it out from episode to episode. It will get old quick.

When Kate tackled Sawyer (I think, they were looking for the water and thought he had it in his stash), he goes "I made this birthday wish 4 years ago." or something to that effect. Everyone believes they may know each other. :shrug:

They are doing another Sawyer episode on February 16th and there are rumours of a mindblowing scene. No clue what it is though.
