Howdy!
If you don't know, there's this nifty site thisdayinmusic.com
They have a thing where you put in your birthday and they'll give you what the #1 song
was in the US & UK when you were born! + more
Check it out! (I really hope I got the web address right!)
Mine -
US - birth "Mrs.Robinson" (EXTREMELY significant to me...I met this VERY prominent person
named MR.Robinson, we clicked, I thought there was "potential" there...But he was like in
a completely different strata than I and oh well, alas :(
UK - "Young Girl" (You know the one..."young girl get out of my heart...you're much too young girl...etc) (Way significant too...I've had 2 MAJOR relationships with "older" men. One 11 years
older than me, one 12... TOO funny!)
US - 18th birthday... "Live To Tell" Madonna... Oh boy DO I have some tales to tell :)
And you?

It just dawned on me...How COOL would it be if "Dreams" or "Albatross" were YOUR #1's???
I wonder if this is the case for any Ledgies? :):):)

Yeah, Gordon Lightfoot, and the song is "Sundown" I actually really like that song, I don't hear it much, but when i do, i'm stoked. It's very pretty. But I think he may have done "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and that song is very pretty to me, too.

Yes, he also did "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". There is a late night AM radio talk show called Coast to Coast (formally Art Bell's show) and they play "Sundown" quite a bit as bumper music. As a matter of fact they play a lot of Fleetwood Mac too.

I love that song so much. It's great to finally put a title to it... don't know why I haven't looked it up earlier.
Mine was "Money for Nothing," Dire Straits... another one of my favorites. :) UK was something I'd never heard of before... "If I Was" by Midge Ure... ?
If you click on "i knew the bride..." on the lefthand side it comes up with a list of wedding anniversaries and Chris's anniversary with Eddy is on there.
