Styx (I know I'll get some serious rolled eyes for this one, but I like 'em)
I think the only music your doppelganger Pammy Jean EVER listens to in the car is the "Return to Paradise" live CD, and I was thoroughly enjoying it last week. My ma and I have our clapping during "Too Much Time On My Hands" down to perfection- and someday will crash a car doing it on the freeway.
-H (<---- probably the only 22-yr. old on the planet who can claim A) having seen Styx live SIX times and B) having a crush on Tommy Shaw)

H, you're up to six times now? You have me beat as I'm at 5. But you know I retired after they gave Dennis the boot. Even though he's a whiner, Styx just isn't Styx without him.
KC radio plays a lot of Styx, much more than Phoenix. I've heard Too Much Time on My Hands dozens of times in the short time I've been back here. LOVE that hand-clapping part.

I've only seen them once with Dennis, on the Return to Paradise tour. I don't mind no Dennis. He icks me. He's so sanctimonious. He's on TV and stuff all the time up here in Chicago. His songs have never been my favorites, I've always liked the J.Y. & Tommy stuff better, so I don't mind him not being around. Ugh- I even remember seeing Styx play at Station Casino (Ameristar, now, where I lost $40 on the slots last week). Styx at a casino. LOLOLOL.
I heard "Renegade" twice on the Fox while I was there!
Kate, did you hear about the supposed Black Crowes reunion? I'm psyched if it happens.

Lots and lots of others I can't think of at the moment...

I have, indeed. :) I'd heard about it before it was released, and bought it the day it came out. I had sort of been getting into some of that vintage country stuff (mainly Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline) before, but Loretta caught my ear with Van Lear Rose. I also bought a 'greatest hits' compilation of hers, and have been listening to "Fist City" almost non-stop. Love that song. :D

No way there! There IS another old-time "metal-head" who just so happens to love the Mac too...
When I was 14 years old, I had a Stevie Bella Donna pin on one collar of my leather jacket and an Iron Maiden one on the other! I was a source of amusement to all those that noticed...
And Helloween...The pumpkin band..Where were they from again? Germany or something???
I LOVED them.
But on a SERIOUS note, I LOVE Thin Lizzy in ALL its MANY incarnations...The double live album is my all time favorite though..."Holy War" is AMAZING!!!
At any rate, I just wanted you to know that you're not "alone" and I hope things are "improving" with everything...

Sly And The Family Stone (for the first two albums)
How could I forget them? One of my faves, they always bring a smile to my face.
From looking at your list, might I suggest getting the Moonlight Mile soundtrack? One of the best ones out there and only one song is unbearable (Gary Glitter). :xoxo:

Same here! I never get tired of them. And everytime I listen to Dreams, I feel the urge to hear their music too.

Yes, it was great! The best thing of that movie, together with Susan Sarandon's performance. It will be the first album in my collection with some Gary Glitter on it, but for Slys, Rolling Stones, and Robert Plant among others (that I didn't remember without checking :p), I can do it. Thanks for the advice. :)

been (And will be) a "metal-head", Nothing will ever change that...Been listening to metal for over 20 years now and with the current influx on the "New Wave Of American Metal" groups I am feeling nostalgic!
Yep, Helloween is from Germany...And they still use the pumpkin's as their mascot. I think Andi Deris has a voice that would you would find interesting, I like him even more than the singer he replaced Michael Kiske. I have a majority of Helloween's catalog on cd, Ever since I purchased their masterpiece "Keeper Of The Seven Keys Pt.1" back in 1986 I have been a loyal fan (Their 13 minute epic "Halloween" is my favorite track to listen to this time of the year), They just finished touring for their latest release "Rabbit Doesnt Come Easy", You can check 'em out at http://www.helloween.org
Thin Lizzy is the one band that never got the respect in the states that they RIGHTFULLY deserved, Not until after they disbanded and the great Phil Lynott passed away from this life...The guy was a lyrical genius in my opinion, And he had a great ear for having some great guitar players in Thin Lizzy: Gary Moore (The Peter Green apprentice!), Scott Gorham, John Sykes, Brian Robertson, Eric Bell, etc. Ya should check out the live album "Live And Dangerous", This release is one of the best live album ever IMHO!
I am feeling alright, But will need to have surgery yet again on my esophagus, But better my esophagus than having heart surgery!!!

I consider myself an old time "metal head" too. I love Metallica, Gn'R, Anthrax, Crue and others. It was weird for me when I started listening to Stevie and the Mac cause before that I ONLY would listen to metal and thought everything else sucked.
