Hello everyone!

I just wanted to write a few words about the Q&A. Back when we first started doing these, we pretty much just sent the individual *all* the questions we received, but that proved to be a little much, as the guests often ended up w/ 'repeat' questions, and some were just a tad overwhelmed.

SO-- We changed things a bit for the more recent ones- we send off a set number of questions per day- a # that the guest chooses. (As always, they can also refrain from answering anything they wish.) So although we now send off a smaller amount, the number that are submitted to US doesn't really change! You can see the difficult spot this puts me in...

John wants to start w/ a fairly small number per day. Obviously many of us have a million of questions we'd like answered BUT...we need to be realistic.
Therefore my suggestions are these:

1. Give it some thought this weekend, and on Monday submit one or two well-thought-out questions to start with-- the ones you would *most* like answered! Sending your 'favorite' one increases the chances that it will be answered, rather than have it be lumped into a batch of 20 more trivial questions you may have.

2. No 10-parters. You guys know who you are. :D We have to be fair. I can't say I'll send someone 9 questions per day and then slyly slip one in that contains 12 parts!

3. We welcome questions that pertain to John and his 40 + years in the music business. Inquiries along the lines of, "Do you know if Stevie got the card and stuffed koala bear I threw onstage in Wisconsin?" will not really be at the top of the list that gets sent to him each day. :)

So there you go....just a few things I wanted to say to hopefully help make this a great experience for all. I am so looking forward to this, I think my head will explode. I could kiss him for doing this for all of us!! :xoxo:

Much thanks for making this happen and thanks to John too!!!!

I still have no clue what to ask him, but I'll give it some more thought. :)

Oh come on. I want to hear his humorous responses to stuff like that as much as I want to hear his insights. ;)

LOL - I can see it already:

Hi John -

I am a huge fan prior and was hoping you could please list every model of bass you have ever played in the following order and in the required subparts:

childhood and adolescence (10-21)

* the bass guitars you wanted but could afford - so you just played them on demo from the store

* the bass guitars of other people you may have played or wanted to play and why you did (please include names and pictures)

* the actual models you had and how often you restrung them

21 - 40

* How many guitars did you use in FM - please list serial codes, makes, models, colors (available colors) - and any custom work you ever did and the name and address of the custom shop and any guitars you may have sampled there as well.

40 - present

* please list how many times you have whacked LB and/or Mick over the head with any guitar in sight - if you used your bass, please list the model number and the place of purchase.

Once you answered all of that, I would greatly appreciate you contrasting all of the above eras by favorite model and color (including string type) - then contrast the guitars you actually owned to the ones you ever played no matter how small of a time.

Thanks for the time!!!!!!!!
