Fave Friday nite activity?

I generally watch movies with my little boy, Brendan, who is 4, and loves watching the War of the Buttons with me!!!! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!

ps: popcorn (for him) and libation (for ME!) round out the evening! Im such a homebody!

I like to go out, but i don't go out much on Fri - also am tired from the workweek, soo..my fav activity is to have many beers, and sing my ass off to every mac, stevie, heart, blondie, whoever song that i feel like, then, after my big concert, (possibly a bowl may be involved) i watch key parts of my new 53 stevie's video, and become spell bound at the amount of charisma, vocal gymnastics, and sheer beauty that existed. Usually there will be some amount of luxuriating in my bed with a book for hours, cause i love to read, and am tired on Fri.

Sometimes, but mostly astrology. I will read almost anything, but I enjoy books about people who turn into animals, (fantasy) and I am hooked on a series that's kind of like Clan of the Cave Bear, but instead it is all about North American Indians. The best part is that it is fiction, but the couple who writes them are anthropologists, so they are well researched, and the different books cover a laaaarge span of time in prehistory (in each different book) They are like: People of the Wolf, People of the Fire, people of the Silence, people of the Lakes, etc. there are 10 or more. Also I like them cause they are really thick, and i race through books but can never afford to. :D Also, I really like mysteries, have since i was 8 or so, but those go really fast.

Just resting and staying up late after a long work week - and a week of having to be in bed a "reasonable hour" haha...

Sounds like we all do similar things on Friday nights - I generally just like to watch a movie/tv show on DVD - and then read - I just finished an intersting book last night in fact - "While I was Gone" by Sue MIller - it was okay - had me hooked for a while...

I don't drink a lot of wine so usually some de-caf Chai is involved in my evening somewhere....

Making a special dinner for my two kids that are left at home. Renting a movie and sitting down to some junk food. I treasure the times I spend with my children. As the older ones have now left home.

Honestly, I go out to the homo bar and get drunk....and usually go to Eat N Park and have a dinner at 4 in the morning.

I work 8:30 to about 8:30 on Friday...so it's a nice 12 hour day. So I like to go to Fridays to see my brother's girlfriend and have some drinks. Then I like to go to bed early so I am up early so I can get some stuff before work Saturday night.

Reading, working, TV or a DVD, usually. At the moment I am staying far from a bar or pub so any temptation to go out is thwarted.

I read Clan of the Cave Bear years ago and liked them. At the moment I am trying for the third time to get more than 20 pages into Catch 22. I find it so hard to get into. I will probably give up... again. :distress:

It's not Carlos Castaneda -ey. It's more like Clan, but of course Native Life is depicted. There is usually some evil people, and a great singer, or dancer, or vision person...someone's usually destined for something, and they meet with another person from another tribe who it was seen in a vision was destined to do something, like save the wolf bundle, or thwart an evil chief's plans or whatever...you know, native american stuff :laugh: They're way less cheesy, and much better than i described - very page turner...If anyone wants to check it out, they're by Michael Gear and Kathleen O'neill Gear...

This sounds like my Friday nights in my early 20's too - other than Eat-N-Park.

These days, I usually clean the house, do laundry, and spend an hour swimming.

Me, too :o , only it's about 2 on Sat.... :rolleyes: There's a really fun homo bar about 4 blocks from my house, I used to go there more - it was so fun, everyone was, somehow, waay nicer than the other regular bars i usually went to. They also had the best pool tables, games, and juke box, and a separate bar and dance floor room (the place was fairly small, but well layed out) and now they built a patio out front so you can sit n drink n SMOKE (woohoo) But mainly i liked it because of the games, it makes me antsy to just sit or stand around in bars...i love to play pool also the music in the dance room was really good. It's a boy and girl homo bar, though...anyhoo...

Nowadays, my Friday evenings are basically relaxing and filled with the anticipation of actually getting to sleep long hours with no annoying alarm sounds in the morning.... Oh, and snuggling with the chihuahua honey-pies!!

Usually, my mom watches my lil' one on Friday nights, so that's my night to do my own thing. Sometimes, I'll find some friends to go out and play some pool with and have a few coctails. Other times, I'll sit at home, catch up on some housework, and watch the tube.

They don't really have boy and girl homo bars in Austin, which is kind of a shame. I always thought it would be fun to make some lesbian friends...

My Friday nights are pretty much like every other night. I partake of a Wendy's value meal and vegetate in front of the TV or computer. I'm so sad.

Yeah, I like it better. But in San Francisco I don't think there are as many of both/homo bars. But, if SF is the gay man capital of the world, Berkeley is the Lezz Capital :laugh: so it only makes sense it would be a both/bar....I was on a softball team with all lesbians, it wasn't extra fun or anything, except for the softball part. :laugh: But perhaps if i had been a lesbian it would have been more fun. They did sing "lucky star" at me a couple times, but that's it :laugh:

Well, it is Morgantown, WV , home of West Virginia Univeristy.....30,000 students. So, for every ten guys, one is gay.....makes for a crowded bar. :thumbsup: Oh, and there are about 8 other surrounding colleges/universities.....It's wonderful. :]
