Is there any way we could all band together to request a re-release of Stevie's solo albums. I envision it being something like FMac's recent reissues; that is, as 2-disc sets, with one disc of the remastered album + a disc of outtakes, alternate takes, etc. We all know there's enough stuff in the vaults to make it possible.
How great it would be to have a remastered Bella Donna! The second disc could even be a live disc culled from the Bella Donna tour! Maybe an actual "box" set is in order, like Paul Simon recently did for his solo work. "The Enchanted Works Of" was good, but only scratched the surface of her body of work.
Anybody know who we can write to at a record company or management? Stevie might even take such a project seriously as a way to keep fans happy while she begins work on her next solo album.

I think it's a great idea to reissue... remaster her earlier work. Aside from that, she's got enough material (demos etc.) to produced a bunch of b-sides, rareities and outtakes albums... Man that would be fun for her to put together.... and fun for us to have.

Wasn't TISL going to be released in 5.1 DVD-Audio?

Remastered & expanded would be great! However, I must say I'd settle for them just simply re-doing the packaging. I was in Best Buy this weekend, and the text on the back of Bella Donna still says "Ms. Nicks' most recent album is The Wild Heart." And, to my knowledge, they've never fixed all the screw-ups in the Rock A Little booklet.
But, if they released Deluxe versions like the recent Mac reissues, I'd be at the store when it opens, cash in hand!

I'm thinking of a compilation live album on the model of "Fleetwood Mac Live" -- a variety of different years, dates & towns, encompassing Stevie's concert years. Otherwise, stick some of this stuff on reissues of her albums, the way some bands do. Did you guys know that Stevie taped her final Australian show in 1986 for her band? And how about the never-uncovered Oakland Coliseum show from 1983 that was only partially given to radio? I've always wanted some big, splashy live collection of Stevie's to be released.

I have the first three songs, but that's it. :( Dreams cracks me up.

Was she coherent?
Just barely. I mean, she gets through the songs, but you can tell it's incredibly taxing on her.

Neat ideas all! David, I hate to admit it, but I'm starting to think that you're really NOT Lindsey:( If you were, you probably would've used the phrases "body of work" and "full-circle" in your post:) At any rate, I think a live album is an eventuality... If Stevie's "Powers That Be" consider the success of The Dance as a blueprint. They might consider individual album reissues as Enchanted Works redundancy...

a partial professionally recorded 1986 concert that was available by import from Australia and I have wondered if this may have been the show that was taped for her band. The tracks sound great!
"Stevie Nicks Live Unapproved (Live Australian Compilation-"Rock A Little" Tour)"
1.I Need To Know
2.I Can't Wait
3.Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
4.Leather And Lace
5.Beauty And The Beast

I have that and it's not the same as the one recorded for the band. Outside the Rain, Dreams, and Talk To Me are different from the ones at the last show. :)

Maybe because she hasn't been a "great live performer" in years. Not that I don't love seeing her nowadays, but it's not the stuff great live albums are made of.
However, I would absolutely love re-issues of all of her work. It's too bad about TISL not getting re-released as 5.1 because that CD is wonderful.

My guess is that this very fact speaks of the nature of her general audience, even during her heyday. If faced with the option of buying something like Timespace or a Stevie Nicks live album, they easily would have bought the former. Fleetwood Mac's live album never sold that much either, so maybe Stevie thought one from her solo tour(s) would be an unnecessary addition to the catalogue.
Of course, one could claim that this is a similar issue to that of the only live album that Peter Gabriel-era Genesis released. All those masks, miming and magnesium flashes (during the end of "Supper's Ready") were considered a crucial part of the whole package, kinda like those shawls, costume changes and the choreography of the backing vocalists with Stevie. ;)

Maybe Lindsey's lack of interest in live albums influenced Stevie. It's still hard to believe that Modern didn't push a live album at some point, especially back when she really was a beloved solo concert draw & quite a big name on the marquee.

You can add to this the track Stand Back from the same show in Australia... It's out there as well. I'm sure the rest of the show is floating around someplace. I mean it's pointless to set up and record only 3 or 4 tracks even if it was meant to be thrown in to those radio shows you can buy.
But yeah... a live album would be the best - and a comp isn't such a bad idea either...
the truth is that Stevie has US....that's it. We are the diamond-hard core fans. This should be her focus. We stayed with her through all of it....public ridicule, or worse, indifference, long waits between albums with dissapointing results.....you know all the rest. As Lindsey said "the point is, here we are".
That's important. Stevie should consider directing her attentions to the hardest core. I won't even call us fans, I will spell out the entire word that "fan" is short for, "FANATIC". As a jamband scene person, I have noted that these bands reward the faithful......from my lips to Stevies ears, yes?
