I've never read it but (or perhaps because) I hear it's trash. I think it has some rare pics in it though? (But I'm sure those same pics are out and about on the Net at this point.)

I remember seeing it a couple of years ago in Virgin megastore in SF, it was kinda thin paperback that i doubt had much more info then the articles and already published books. Didn't pay too much attention to the pics, theres enough places online for pics.

Let's put it this way... if you're buying it for the great & rare photos, or just for a little light reading, then you won't be disappointed.

But if you're buying it expecting substantive text, then you will be disappointed.

You don't need to buy it off of Ebay--it's for sale on Amazon and other sites new.

I have that book and the other one "Rock's Mystical Lady". The best part of both of them are the photos. They are very nice to have in your collection.
The written part of the book is not that great, however.

I have Rock's Mystical Lady. Honestly I felt like I was reading a middle school research paper. It's filled with a lot of innacuracies and speculations rather than biographical info. A lot of the photos are "rare" but mostly because they aren't very good. There were quite a few illustrations in the book also, I suspect to take up space because there wasn't much as far as quality written content. Can you tell I didn't like it? :distress:

I think any one of us could have written a much better biography on Stevie. It is almost cringe-worthy in places. The author goes off on these little stories that have nothing to do with Stevie and spends half of the 20 pages of actual text (which is like 18 font anyway) talking about why he wanted to write a book about her. Seriously, a ten year old could write a better book.

I have a book on Blondie called "From Punk To Present" and I really wish there was one like it for the Mac or Stevie and Lindsey. It's the size of a telephone book and was put together by die-hard fans with drawings, fan photos, album and concert reviews, essays, interviews, discographies, the works. We need one for the Mac. ;)
