Hey all...Havent been posting much as of late due to illness, Which is possibly worse than even I expected.

Had to admitted to the ER today after Deb's Rad treatment due to an ongoing chest pain (My right arm has been numb since yesterday), To only find out the ECG showed that I have damage of some type to the left axis of my heart...Won't know exactly what type of damage but I may have to see a cardiologist due to this, Can we say yet medical bills?

Have a Dr's appointment tomorrow anyways, So at least that is a convience.

Take care, Peace out & blame Canada...

I seriously hope that everything will soon be all right, and these health issues will be nothing more than a bad memory.

but I dont have a clue, As neither did the ER Doctor.

I do not drink ANY alcohol, Nor do I smoke or use drugs...So the ER Dr. is at a loss for words to why the damage. She was really concerned because the bloodwork showed nothing abnormal, Either the damage is something in the early stages (My Mom's side of the family has a major history of heart disease) or is something that was missed in the past.

Anyways, I will be asking "Dr.Doogie Howser" (My regular physician is a 20-something kid...It annoys me to no-end when he calls me Mr.Johnson...Hell, I'm only a 34 yr. old pain-in-the-ass) those questions tomorrow.

Brian,

Not that you should blow this off, but an ECG is a pretty basic minor test - in other words it gives minimal info. It can also give false alarms.

It could be something you were born with, you could have had a minor heart attack without knowing it (gee, not like you've been under any stress lately, right?) or something else - or nothing at all. So although it may cost more, the cardiologist will figure out exactly what the deal is & go from there.

Try not to worry too much about it before you get a more thorough workup. Easier said than done, I know. Hey, it could be worse - you could be Canadian. (sorry, Theresa, if you read this comment!)

but the pain in my chest right now has been constant since last Friday/Saturday, But having my right arm become increasingly numb was the LAST straw...It was too much to bare this morning as I waited on Deb to finish her Rad treatment. She drove me to the ER because I was "texas toast".

I feel like ab-so-lute s**t right now...Not to mention the ER Doc is even more concerned about what-the-hell-ever it was that "popped" last week in the right side of my head!!! I thought nothing much of it as I thought it was a muscle cramp, But the ER doc said if I suffer another one of these "pops" I need to IMMEDIATELY come to the ER (She talked to "Doogie Howser" and he is going to setup an MRI scan of my head...I told her "I doubt they would find anything since it is pretty EMPTY up there"!)

Are you sure you didn't have an heart attack? Because the pain in the heart and the numb arm are the normal sintoms of one... I hope, however, you didn't have one.

NOT!

Had to be at the hospital at 7:45AM for a stress test, Which was & is a pain-in-the-ass. I was on the treadmill for about 10-15 minute and had my pulse rate to around 180 bpm, And with a blood pressure of around 182/120...The EKG showed nothing abnormal during the stress test.

I am currently connected to a "heart monitoring system" which I have to wear for 24 hours to monitor & map the rhythm of my heart (Thank God I did not need the 48 hour version of this system...This is making me itch like crazy!!!) and write down any pain I experience during this time.

Can you say I am stressed out? Cause I am!!!

Brian j.

ps-Only humor I found in this today is the Dr. who oversaw this looks facial like Mick Fleetwood (That was eerie!) & I started to snicker as I was on the treadmill when the image of Stevie's "Stand Back" video popped into my mind...I was hoping when he shut the treadmill down it would carry me to the back edge of the machine ala Stevie in the video, But alas he shut it down before I had the chance to humor myself and stretch out my arms & sing "Stand Back"!

wondered if the Mick look-a-like Doctor had some other patients pull a Stevie on the treadmill, Because it was such a buzzkill when he shut it down so quickly

Another funny moment today was when after Deb's Oncologist's appt occurred on the trip back home, When I was driving behind a new SUV that had several "Betti Page" stickers on the rear window (Interesting to see the image of a classic 60's model on a modern SUV) and a very honest window sticker with the following message:

"Please God No More Blonde Female Pop Singers"

SWEEEEEEEETTTTT!!! You remind me that though crappy things happen, it can always be an amusing day in your own head! Yeah, what's up with the blond, female (non stevie) pop singers...also your post reminded me that days could be short, and you should fling your arms back and shout STAND BACK! whenever you get the opportunity, to put a Mac spin on an old saying.....keep laughing at/with others in your head, and you'll be allright. Just when things started to go right, the typical s**t happens yet again...Yep God must REALLY (sarcastically of course) luv us

Deb developed a blood clot in her neck when her "Hickman" catheter suddenly fell out (Which rarely, if ever happens...). She should be alright since she was already on blood thinners from a previous blood clot from when she first took ill.

As for me, My heart isn't the problem according to the heart monitor results (At least thats what "Doogie Howser" told "Nurse Debbie"...Gee, Being married to a nurse isnt a bad thing) it is more than likely my esophagus again...I could also be a major hernia pressing onto my chest, Will soon learn what whatever that hell it is.

So any RUMOURS of my immediate death are B.S., Cause if I die now who the hell will be around to harrass the religious "right" as a hobby like I do??? Hehehehehe...

Very cool, congratulations! :) About 20 years ago, I taught myself how to play 'Day Tripper' on the drums...I shudder to think how I would sound now! My English teacher in High School was a musician as well, and I'll never forget that on the last day of school before I graduated, he took me outside to the piano set up for the ceremony and played 'Let It Be' on the piano...my favourite is John Lennon, not as much Paul McCartney, but I still thought that was such a sweet thing to do! I've never forgotten that, and I never will. :)

That's very cool, Brian! I miss George and John so much...thinking of the wonderful music they perhaps would be giving us now and in the future, if they were here...I just feel grateful that we had their talents to enjoy while we did. Have you got the Ed Sullivan shows on VHS of The Beatles? I received it as a birthday gift this year, and it's great to have for the collection. It's interesting to see how much they changed from year to year...as people and with their music. The shows include the commercials, which are halarious!
