Has anyone tried it? I'm using it right now, and I like it much better than IE and Netscape. I think you should all consider giving it a try. Supposedly it is more secure and safer for your comp than IE.
It seems to me much faster

I have it on my computer, but I hardly use it. I'd like to use it more, it's just very sluggish on my machine. (I'm on a Mac, running OS 9.2.) My boyfriend exclusively uses Mozilla Firefox on his PC, though, and he loves it. Over the past few months, he's been switching to as many non-Microsoft products as he possibly can. :)

It's not all that new, I don't think. :)
But I've been using it for a while now. I'd say one or two months. I really like it. Tabbed browsing oooowns. <3<3

I just downloaded the Avant Browser, and it was the answer to my prayers. I checked out Mozilla (both the old one and the new Firefox beta), but the downloads were so large and my very old crappy computer didn't meet the system spec requirements.
Avant uses the basic IE engine that's already in Windows, and it's interface boots from there. I don't know about the security issues and such, but it works a gagillion times better than IE ever did. It is a tabbed browser, and it includes full-screen or full-desktop modes with auto-hide toolbars -- LOTS of viewable space even on my small 15" monitor.
Plus, the entire download was only 1, yes ONE meg, and it installed in about 30 seconds -- didn't even have to reboot. I'm sure Mozilla would have been great as well -- but if you're one of the primitive ones on dialup (like me), or have an older machine, I highly recommend Avant as an option.
FREE YOURSELF FROM INTERNET EXPLORER!!! :)

I'm using FireFox also. Love it. I stay away from Bill Gates stuff as much as possible.
I even tried switching to another operating system for a while, which was far more stable than any window products. It's just a shame game manufacturers have not caught on that there is life out side of Bill Gates.

I put this in yesterday. What I like is that if it crashes, it remembers what websites you had open at the time, and opens them right up again.

Talk about an OLD thread! But yeah, on my desktop PC(XP), Mozilla crashes CONSTANTLY! But at least it remembers all the windows and tabs you had open, and reopens them when you restart. My laptop is Vista, and it almost never has a problem.

Did you update to 3.6? The older version crashed a lot for me, but I'm not having any problems so far.

LOL. I saw the thread title and thought Mozilla is a "new" web browser? Then I saw the date.
When I use Firefox it crashes quite a bit, but I still like it better than IE.

I've never liked IE! But I started on a Mac, and had Netscape, and Mozilla is very similar to NS. I only use IE when I have to! (little oddity, when I check into my hotel in Nashville, the wifi system won't recognize Mozilla, so I always have to fire up IE, just to get into the system, then switch over to Mozy)

i hate firefox :D
i loved ff for years and was a faithful adherent but i hated that it would crash constantly and suck up so much RAM.
when chrome came out i switched and never looked back. it's sleek, fast, lightweight, and it seriously never crashes.

I had been using Firefox on the old system, which generally worked all right. But there's a problem with 64-bit Windows systems & 32-bit browsers: various Adobe plug-ins aren't compatible with 64-bit, including Flash & Shockwave. So if you're on a 64-bit system, you need a browser that will render these scripts. I switched to Chrome & so far I love it!

Ugh, it does eat RAM like crazy (which explains my sig's expression...), but I like that it saves sessions when you crash, and I swear by the flashblock add-on. If Chrome does that, I'm sold!

i love flashblock. chrome just got a flashblock extension.
you can set it to automatically open whatever tabs you had up when you start up the browser, so if it crashes, it'll restore them. however another thing i really like about chrome is that if one tab crashes, it doesn't take the others with it because each tab is its own process.
blah blah etc etc i like chrome the end.

Sold! Does it still look flat? When I d/led it the first time, I hated how 1-D it was.

hmm. i don't know what you mean by flat. it looks simple, but i really like that. i don't like a lot of doo-dads taking up all my browsing space. just gimme the porn!

Like the toolbar icons and everything look more 3-D in firefox, but in chrome they're kinda flat.
I'm just a picky bish.
