I am so lucky to have seen three concerts this year, which is my record. Although none was the Mac (I saw them last year), I've seen Van Halen, AWB/Michael McDonald/Hall & Oates & now Blondie this year. All have been excellent concerts. About a month ago, I found out that Blondie, who I've loved for years, but have never seen in concert, was coming to my area, only about 15 - 20 minutes away, I jumped at the chance to see them. I saw them last night, & I was right at the stage, the closest I've ever been to any performer, so close that I could have touched Deborah Harry, but I didn't. She was awesome, very talented. The whole band was great. I probably annoyed them as I took about 15 pictures, but I had a good time. If they are ever close by to your city/country, I'd recommend seeing them.

I'm so happy for you! They are FANTASTIC live. Did they play Golden Rod by any chance?

Golden Rod is probably my fav. song off of their new album. I saw them this January, and they did not play it live :( They did "Good Boys" and that Ramones song...(brain fart, LOL).

Bike Boy? They've been playing a lot of old songs this tour. I wish they'd dig out Kung Fu Girls and play that once or twice.

My faves from the new album have to be Golden Rod, Background Melody, and Diamond Bridge. They're utterly fantastic! And I hear Miss Debbie has a new solo album coming out, too.

It may have been on this board, that I posted about seeing Blondie back in Nov. of last year and all people had to say were negative things. I guess thats why the concert in January blew me away. I went expecting crap and came out with a whole new respect for Blondie (not that I didnt have it before, but other Ledgies comments had lowered my expectations)

Surely you jest! People said bad things? Let me get my foot ready...

They rock live, no matter what anyone says.

I like 'The Curse Of Blondie' but (and I'm probably in minority here) I prefer 'No Exit'. I've never seen them live though (unfortunately), but I bet they're amazing. Debbie is such a burst of energy.

And I hear Miss Debbie has a new solo album coming out, too.

Really?! Well, that would be wonderful! I only have a Best Of And 'Debravation' but I like both a lot.

Siiiiiiiigh.

Dear Blondie,
Hi. I like you guys. I like you a lot. But come to Indiana, dammit. And bring some nice black shirts for guys with you. And preferably No Exit, The Hunter, Eat To The Beat, and Plastic Letters, since I can't find those anywhere. Oh, and Jimmy. It's much appreciated.
Love,
Greg.

Well, I don't believe they played Golden Rod. I don't have their new CD; I didn't even know they had one out until recently. They did play a few from the new CD, but I'm not sure which. I'm more familiar with One Way or Another, Rapture, Heart of Glass, The Tide is High, Maria, stuff like that, which they played.

Now I have a question for those who have seen them live. Is it their style to at the end, walk off one by one while continuing to each play their music? Of all the bands that I've seen, Fleetwood Mac included, the band unites at the end, thanks the audience for attending & then leaves together. And I was reading their setlist (upside down) & it looks like they cut their encore(s) off. I hope they weren't upset about something.

I read on the TikiLab forums that she already has 15 songs recorded for it. :D I have no clue when it might be released, though.

 Do you have an FYE near you?! I have SIX in my area and EVERY ONE OF THEM has No Exit (the two-disc version with live songs) and the Live album for $4.99. They must have bought way too much stock because each store must have twenty copies of each.

And I have been playing Eat To the Beat all week, I can't get enough of Shayla.

God, I wish I had a bootleg video from one of the No Exit concerts. Those clips on the Beneath the Bleach doc from Madison Square Garden are fantastic.

Ugggh, I can't STAND OverpricedYE. But I did get Autoamerican & Parallel Lines from there. (I got the first album from a small store in Broad Ripple & Curse from Amazon).

I've looked EVERYWHERE for the other ones, but all anyone has are a million copies of The Curse & a bunch of the Greatest Hits compilations.

OYE *does* have a copy of No Exit. But it's used. And that's not good enough for me. In any case, they're all on the Christmas '04 List ;)

Loved them! The Bandstand ones had me on the floor, though. Such terrible lip-syncing.

Did you get it back in the mail yet?

I love how that schmuck Dick Clark tries to act sooooooooooooo cool around them, when he just look sooooooooooo uncomfortable. And the way she lip-syncs AWAY from the microphone kills me every time.

 That whole show was hysterical.

I loved the BBC interview, though, because it really showed you how down-to-earth they were even in their heyday.
